Had lunch today with family and friends. Of course you walk in and the ambiance and atmosphere is beautiful and very welcoming. Our waiter Allen was very friendly and informative. He explained drink specials and even recommended the Enchiladas Suizas. He even brought me a sample of the sauce which was very nice and much appreciated. I tried the sauce and decided to order the Enchiladas Suizas. I loved them. The combination of the sauce with the chicken in the Enchiladas was perfect. I'll definitely order them again. We also tried the chili relleno and Enchiladas de pollo. Everything tasted great and very filling. We will definitely be returning. And I highly recommend trying this place.

Great lunch with my coworkers here! First impression is that this restaurant is huge! There is a parking lot (paid) behind the restaurant. We put our name in and waited in the lounge area for a table. Once seated, our waitress was super friendly and bubbly. I had a mezcal marg to start and we shared chips and guac and cauliflower. I browsed the menu and was thinking about tacos, but our waitress said how good the enchiladas were. Well a heavy plate of shrimp enchiladas for lunch on a rainy day put me down lol! They were really good! Covered in cheese and served with rice and beans. Delicious. We couldn't even get dessert because we were all too full. The restaurant itself is really nice with bright murals. Delicious local spot!

Shut the front door! The atmosphere, bartender, Kim, and the food... Excellent. I was here on a Sunday night. They had a decent crowd. The restaurant was very inviting. Everything I ate was full of flavor! The Albóndigas and the El Lalo were a great way to start a meal. The mezcal drink was nice and dry, I didn't want anything very sweet. The dried orange in it was delicious. The albóndigas were soft and the fried stuff on top took them to the next level. The lengua plate with refried beans and rice was the best tongue I have ever had. The tongue melted in my mouth. The flavors reminded me a little of Swiss steak because the gravy was tomato, peppers and onions. Nice and thick. Not enough people order this dish, order it! The refried beans a weren't just a smashed bean, the spices they use make them special along with the cheese on top. I took the Mexican chocolate flan back the the room and had it for breakfast the next morning. It did not disappoint. Next time you're near the Southside you have to try Rosario's!

I'm telling this just so you know, this place rocks!!!! The flavors of the Elote explode in my mouth!! The Queso Lamar's is a shear delight for my pallet. The service is amazing and the patio is fabulous!! I'm going to come back every time I'm in the great San Antonio area!!!

I so enjoyed lunch here today. It was my first time dining in the new location, which is fabulous. The ambience created by the vivid colors makes you feel good from the moment you walk through the door. Lunch prices were very reasonable and portions were sufficient. I recommend the chicken flautas with charro beans and Mexican rice. I look forward to returning so that I can enjoy their rooftop patio.

I don't even know what to say. Flawless victory! I have never finished my plate like this. Service - impeccable. Food - stellar. Vibe - chill as f***. Server was Steven coming in clutch with the BEST Suggestions. What a guy.

Came here everytime I've visited San Antonio. It's not too far of a walk from the riverwalk downtown. It is a large restaurant that always has a waitlist and event has a rooftop area that you can reserve. The menu is extensive and can get a little overwhelming but almost everything on the menu is good. You can always start with the chips and salsa. Personally though, I am not a fan of their chips and salsa. The chips are not light and crispy like other tex-mex places but rather very heavy and tasteless. The salsa also is on the watery side and kinda of bland. I did like their fajitas which came simmering hot with soft flour tortillas and steaks cooked to perfection. Service can be a bit hit or miss. The first time I came, our server did mess up our order. They also are not the most attentive to refill waters or bring by the check.

Loved it! Tonight was our first time trying Rosario's. Out hotel (La Quinta) suggested it. It was a Wednesday night. The place was maybe 30% occupied inside. No one outside as it was in the 50s. It was a bit loud in the seating group nearest to the boat, so we asked to be sat in the back. It was much quieter. That said, it did start to fill up after 6 pm. Our server was Robby. He was great. He was pleasant and super helpful with both the food and bar menus and selections. He did not steer us wrong. We started out with 2 of their signature margaritas. For $14, they were smallish and just okay. On round 2, we ordered the $10 margaritas and added Grand Marnier floaters. Much tastier in our opinion. We ordered Chips and Fire Roasted Salsa ($2). Wow - the salsa is really good. The chips were a bit puffy. We liked them. For dinner, I ordered an off-menu item: Ground Beef Enchiladas with Mexican Rice and Charro Beans. Loved the Enchiladas. The beans were decent. I'm not much of a rice fan - but they were decent as well. My wife ordered the Tacos A La Rosario. We shared both meals. I really liked her ground beef tacos. There were 2 of them. Her third taco was a Guacamole taco. We scooped the Guacamole out and used it for our chips. It was tasty. We did eat the taco shell as well. While we both liked the beef tacos, my wife wasn't a fan of the hard shell. She felt it was too hard. I loved it though. 1/29/26 - Lunch We enjoyed dinner so much here last night that we returned for lunch today! Today, our server was Maria. She was super nice and cheery. Maria took our drink order and returned in a flash with our iced teas. We started with an order of Fire Roasted Salsa and Chips. Yum as always. We shared an off-menu item for lunch. From the dinner menu, we had Shrimp Enchiladas with rice and charro beans. This was a great meal. Sharing a meal with chips and salsa was just enough food for lunch. I can't wait to return to S.A. And eat here! ----------------- 1/28/26 - Dinner For dessert, we shared an order of Churros. Wow - tasty. The meal was about $100. That was for 2 full dinners, chips/salsa and 4 margaritas. I feel it was a decent value given the service level and food quality / taste. We loved Rosario's and we will be back.

Excellent experience all the way around. Service was excellent. Food was incredible. The place is well thought out and provides a fantastic atmosphere for large or small groups. Huge menu, everything is well thought out to provide something for every palate. There are complex flavors, and simple dishes. Everyone in our group loved their meal and the apps. The house made chips & smokey salsa and their expansive drink menu get things kicked off, and the entrees don't disappoint. A must try if you are in Southtown.

I ordered Griselda's tacos callejeros to go for lunch and they were so good that I came back for dinner the same day. The tacos themselves were great, but the ratio of cabbage lime slaw to meat was a bit off for my taste. There was more slaw than I wanted, and I found myself wishing for more meat. For dinner, I switched it up and ordered the carne de puerco en chile cascabel so I could get a more protein-forward plate, and it absolutely delivered. The pork was incredibly tender, rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Even after I was full, I kept going back for the chips and salsa. The chips were light and airy, and the salsa struck the perfect balance between smoky and spicy. The guacamole was excellent, especially with the added jalapeños. I had the Pica Pica to drink and loved how refreshing it was, especially with the cucumber. The service was wonderful, and even though the restaurant was packed, it never felt overly loud or chaotic. I'll definitely be back.

I've eaten in the restaurant on 3 occasions and have always had an absolute wonderful experience!! However!! I had been wanting to try out role rooftop bar and it was disappointing! Daniel behind the bar did his very best and was so helpful and efficient! Unfortunately he was a Lone Ranger! We were told they served appetizers but not that only 3 options were offered! When it's brought to you it's just the food, no plates, no napkins and once food is left you're left to fend for yourself! So with how many people were up there a few more servers and staff need to be added! Line at the bar never goes down and it's hard for 2 people to keep up with a constant flow of 10-15 people in line

    Micah J.

Great family owned business! The atmosphere, service, and drinks on the rooftop bar were phenomenal! Highly recommend!

Since my initial post 8yrs ago I would consider this spot as our ultimate after-work haven! I've tried almost everything on the menu, but I am utterly obsessed with the Ceviche Fino--it's flawlessly fresh and flavorful every single time. Wash it down with the Pink Cactus Frozen Margarita, which is absolute perfection. Come hungry? Order the Carne Asada and I guarantee you'll be doing a happy dance in your seat! Location is beautiful and the upstairs bar area is always a plus to continue conversations.

Ask the Community - Rosario's ComidaMex & Bar

What days is the rooftop bar open?

Rosario's Rooftop hours are Thursday 5-10, Friday 5-1am, Saturday 4-1am, Sunday 2-9pm. Private Events are hosted up there as well so you could call 210-223-1806 to double check hours for that day.

Can you handle a group of 60 people or more for a family reunion? Also can you cater for a group of 60 people?

Hello, yes please see our events page for more info on private areas that can accommodate groups up to 200. https://www.rosariossa.com/private-events/

Do they still charge for chips and salsa?

    Yes

Do they take reservations or can we do call ahead seating if more than 10 people?

They do not take reservations or have call ahead seating. And they won't seat a large party until everyone is there.

We are walking around the Riverwalk today with our kids. Is this a place where we need to dress in collared shirts or are shorts and t-shirts ok?

I was there about 2 months ago, I came in for lunch in shorts & white t-shirt & no one said anything about it.

Are the Fajitas mesquite or fire grilled?

Hello. They are fire grilled. Come try them soon !

Do they have a Agua Fresca?

Can you ask again this time in English? Thanks!

    Do they have homemade tortillas?

    Hello Angela. Yes we do!

    Is this kid friendly?

We took our three year old, last week, and had a good lunch. They provided really cool triangle crayons with a coloring sheet. Their kid menu offers tacos, enchiladas, and homemade chicken strips with steak fries for $6.99. The drink was extra. My…

Are puffy tacos served on the menu at night? I only see them listed on the lunch menu.

Yes, those are just the daily specials.

Does anyone know what color scheme they decorate the party rooms?

    Looked pink to me.

    Do they take reservations?

Yes I remember making a reservation for 4. This place is huge so probably dont even need a reservation. Anyway Just call them and you should be good to go.

When is happy hour? Is it nightly, certain nights, time frame?

Hello. Happy hour is Monday through Thursday from 3 to 6 PM

What nights is live music offered and what time do they start?

    Friday-Saturday

What is the parking situation like. Is there a private lot and is there a charge?

Very small lot. No fee. But plan on finding street parking in the area.

Is there parking in front of restaurant?

No. Plan ahead. On a busy night. We had to drive all around the blocks looking for a spot.

Do they have homemade tortillas here (my fav)?

Yes and they are fresh thin and Hot.

    Are the beans vegetarian?

Hi Meg, we actually do have a vegetarian version of our charro beans. Our "regular" charrro beans are made with bacon but we make some without the bacon. Just be sure to ask your waiter for the vegetarian charro bean option. Thanks!

Do they serve with green mole?

Hello, we serve the dark mole sauce, not green mole.

What's the easiest route to walk to the RiverWalk from here?

Take St. Mary's (street in front of restaurant) north for about 4-5 blocks. That will take you to the main area of the Riverwalk

From the moment I walked in, I could tell this place was special. The atmosphere is beautiful, upscale, and inviting. The architecture and design throughout the restaurant are absolutely stunning. Even the restrooms were impressive and reflected the same attention to detail found throughout the entire establishment. The food was outstanding. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. This isn't your typical restaurant experience--the menu is creative, unique, and offers something different. You can tell a lot of thought goes into both the preparation and presentation of every plate. What really made the experience unforgettable, though, was the customer service. My waitress, Kreizon, was absolutely amazing. She was friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely made me feel welcome throughout my visit. Great service can make a good meal even better, and she definitely elevated the entire experience. The outdoor dining area is also beautiful and creates a relaxing atmosphere that's perfect for enjoying a meal and taking in the surroundings. If you're looking for a restaurant that offers exceptional food, incredible ambiance, unique architecture, and top-notch customer service, Domingo is a must-visit. This is more than just dinner--it's an experience. Highly recommended, and I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in San Antonio.

Electronic dance music pulsed quietly in the background. The toilets were all individual unisex stalls that were classy, mine had run out of hand towels. Also, the entire restaurant is very dimly lit. I had to use the flashlight on my phone to read the menu, but I have poor eyesight so there's that, but it might explain the quality of the photos I took. The Paloma drink was amazing. It had a great spicy zing in the back of the throat after every sip. Queso was... kinda plain. It might have been better with the add chorizo option. It was very thick. Shrimp cocktail was big, but we started fighting over the shrimp pieces. There was plenty of onion and tomato left over after the batttle. Pollo Asado was a great flavor and the chicken was juicy. Grilled squash that was on the side was good. Chicken enchiladas were good and had freshly sliced jalapeños, which is always a welcome detail. I wasn't able to taste the quesadilla but my daoughter said it was "really good". Fried Chicken sandwich had a great flavor and the bacon was actually pork belly if I'm not mistaken. Sadly there was more batter than chicken. The seasoned fries were delicious and crispy.

It was delicious! The concha was soft, buttery and flaky, with just the right sweetness. We took home the majority of it and it stayed nice and soft instead of turning hard like so many others. We decided to try several appetizers to go along with our concha to get a wider taste of their food than we would by just ordering a couple entrees. Let me tell you, this was a great idea! We ordered the Tosti-Ceviche Verde, Panela Asado, Mexican Street Corn, and their Spicy Bean Dip. The Ceviche Verde was excellent, the freshness of the fish and shrimp was wonderful with the chipotle mayo and avocado. We chose to have it on the salsa Verde Tostitos and it was all great combination. The Panelo Asado was a completely new dish for us and was extremely good with a savory flavor from the salsa Tlaquepaque that mixed well with the Panela cheese. Their tortillas though not made in house, are made for them and taste like mom made them. The Mexican Street Corn was great and had the perfect bit of char taste from the corn. It was creamy and flavorful, we did think it could use just a tad more lime juice though. The Spicy Bean Dip was very good. You can't go wrong with Oaxaca, Chorizo, and pieces of pork mixed with some mildly spicy beans. Our server was fantastic. She had great recommendations for us, and was quick with checking on our drinks and generally helping us throughout our dinner. The food was prepared quickly, was hot, tasteful and refreshing. We definitely will be going back, and recommend Pan Fila to all of you.

The food is delicious - we ordered the (lunch) Chicken Fajitas, and Chicken Verde Enchiladas. Both were hits! Service was excellent and very professional. An upscale gem in San Antonio!

Pretty much told us to suck it. We definitely overpaid by 50 dollars. Every responsible party showed their receipts/ bank account and that's the kind of stellar customer service this place has. No wonder why the older bald waiter has that attitude. He steals from people and is backed up by their management. Would everything had been ok if they didn't use some scam like QR code? Or the waiter done his job instead of dropping off the tab and not asking a single soul out of a party of 7 to split or not, then this wouldn't even be an issue. Just remember the people the manager dismissed are involved in the legal world, some are teacher and other nurses and trust that we will be vocal about how this place is scamming people without a second thought. Will never be back but as the manager said, no sweat off his back since people will still go and our experience doesn't matter in his eyes.
