I had such a horrible experience with a to go order. I order a fiesta lime chicken first of all when I got there I tried to call them and they were rude on the phone. Then the chicken was over cooked and it had some cheese on top that was disgusting, the rice was awful dry and Stale. Also we order something else that I can't even explain. Couldn't tell if they were selling me ounces of oil or they were selling chicken and smash potatoes. I don't recommend it. don't even try to spend your money in such a Pricey meal. read more

Came here for 1/2 priced happy hour and dollaritas!!! Yaya! Dollaritas were good, not as strong as usual but for a buck, who cares!!! They were actually not so bad. Ordered the boneless wings which were delicious. Got the blue cheese to dip and it was nice n chunky, just the way I like it! The wonton tacos weren't bad... I felt there was too much slaw on them but they weren't all that terrible. The chicken quesadilla was decent, not too impressed with it though. The nachos were horrible. They were soggy and the beef was just "plopped" on top... no cheese, no flavor. Won't order those again. My wife ordered the fish and chips, she said they were decent but nothing to write home We arrived around 3 and it wasn't so busy, left around 430 and it started to get pretty busy as we left. Happy hour was 3-6pm and then 9pm to close. Our waiter was busy but attentive. Our little table order kiosk shut off about 20 minutes into our happy hour, told our waiter and he said "oh, batteries must have died". I was hoping he would replace it as we like to order off the thing and would have probably ordered more if we didn't have to wait for our waiter each time. Never got replaced, So that was a bummer. Might go back for happy hour again... and get the boneless buffalo wings and maybe try some other things on the app menu. Not really a huge fan of their food. read more

My spouse and I literally just went and picked up our online order. Yes, we ordered a little over an hour before close. So, we weren't expecting the food to be pristine quality. We placed the order and said we wouldn't pick it up for about 30-40 minutes, plenty of time. We had just showered and rushed over to pick up the food when we were greeted by 3 employees with snooty tones and comments about how we looked? Shouldn't have even been relevant. A woman with dark blonde/brown hair gave us the fakest tone ever as she asked what we wanted. I mention that we had a to go order and the blonde waitat the bar looks confused, other heavy-set waiter with a beard looks over once and notices our bag is there. He begins to clap and says "It's done, we usually forget these things" or something like that. The entire time my spouse and I were very uncomfortable by their obvious annoyance. Once we reached the car, the food was already mostly cold. We got home and once he opened the boxes, everything was halved. If you can tell in the picture, the quesadillas look like they were made off of the same tortilla, only 4 mozzarella sticks when we've received at least 8 while sitting down before? Disappointed, bothered by the fact that we could have spent the amount of money we did here at Taco Bell and had double the amount of food with better service from the /teenage/ employees, keep in mind the ones working tonight were all grown adults!!! Went there and everything was just as expected... Mediocre, salty, over cooked. But the thing that really got us is that we paid our tab through the kiosk at the table and was about to head out when the waiter, came back and asked if we needed anything else and we said no but I said next time we would come to try their Halloween drink. He mentioned that they are currently doing a $1 special and we said ok and got the drinks. My husband gave him a $10 bill expecting to get change but rather, the server comes up and brings us a dessert that we didn't ask for and acts like it was on the house. Low and behold the waiter actually charged it and scammed us. I know $10 isn't a big deal but what really angers me is that the waiter pretended it was on the house and charged it without our approval. I will never go back. Horrible experience with car side to go. To be clear upfront, I ordered on my Applebee's account Car Side To Go. For whatever reason it had me across town at a location I have never ordered from or visited. I always order Car Side To Go from the one 6 blocks away. Didn't realize the mixup until my daughter went to pick up dinner, when she was informed it is not at their location. She called me and said they aren't offering to do anything and we have to drive an hour south basically to pick up the meal (30 min drive + 30 minutes traffic). I called the location that has the order and to update the vehicle because now my husband is heading there and they said to just drive to my neighborhood location and they will make it right, no problem. I was upset at myself until I heard that. Tip for Applebee's app/web developers: (I) Update the location to use the closest as the default for online ordering; or (ii) default a location to an account's previously ordered from location. My error, absolutely, but an opportunity lost to earn any more business just based on learning what another site would have done and was willing to do. read more

I had a very pleasant experience at Applebee's this evening. My server wasn't the best, she was very slow to take our order, but other than that, everything was good. The BBQ brisket tacos were super good and were one of the cheapest things on the menu. Applebee's is a pretty busy establishment but their lobby only seats like 8 people. People were standing outside in thirty five degree weather, which is crazy considering nothing at Applebee's is actually worth standing outside in the cold for a half hour for. read more

The food tasted fantastic at this location (although the steaks tend to be overcooked), and the view from the far side that looks down upon I-90 was great for atmosphere. It honestly got me thinking about improvements for the restaurant. I think this Applbees would improve greatly if skylights were installed throughout the middle of the building. This would add light and cheeriness which would modernize. With that said, there was a major annoyance in this experience that rose above the rest and it had to do with their high prices. The prices are all around a little high ESPECIALLY on drinks! Applebee's has always had prices missing from their drink section, which gives me opportunity to say that they have always had it wrong! The only time I see it appropriate to leave a price off a menu is if the price is low and doesn't break the pocketbook. Now I know In the restaurant business prices are often left off if it is a list of alcoholic beverages that are so high in price it couldn't possibly be Applebees quality or if the restaurant is of such high quality that those that eat there, price is of no concern. At Applebees, the drinks are $4 or more (no refills) if you decide you don't want soda (which is also over priced). I'm not even talking about the alcoholic drinks. This just needs to be fixed. I promise you will sell more drinks if this is fixed and more reasonable! The servers here do a decent job and are very friendly, but I feel that some of them leave something to be desired when it comes to personality. There is quite a variance in fun/quick minded servers vs by the book/muted personality servers. Some of them could take a cue from those that seem to be loved by regulars at this location. My only other complaint is horrible management of the front of house. There needs to be a quick way to queue who is next to be seated. Upon arrival there were a few groups and the server that greeted them ignored all the other groups that just entered while she looked around at tables. It made for an awkward wait. You know... the time where you need to tell someone how many in your group are to be eating before you can sit down and actually begin the wait to be seated if a wait is needed at all. Awkward to say the least! 4 of 5 stars for taste more then anything else. Prices and service upon entrance to this establishment should make this a 3 of 5 stars. 3.9 stars is my current rating. read more

Today a neighbor friend and I decided to have lunch with each other. She had the day off and I love to spend time with her alone when the kiddos are at school. We contemplated options for where to eat and then we decided to go to Applebee's in Spokane Valley for the 2 for$27 deal! We had a wonderful server named Joanie who gave us smiles, friendly and helpful and was wonderful!!! It was the best experience I've had in a long time with inside dining. The appetizer was prompt and hot! The food was great, delicious and I will be returning to this establishment again, however I would like to have Joanie as MY server AGAIN!! Applebee's is great... They have a great happy hour & I love the Monday night burger deal for 5.99... The apps are good & some are a bit outside the box so we can always find something kinda different. I love the artichoke dip, cowboy burger, pub pretzels, & their dinners are great too. We always have great service... We've had Russ & Derrick the past few times & they are great. They always remember everything & nothing ever gets messed up in our order. Everyone else is super nice too, we just seem to always get those guys & they are really great servers... They always look like they are having fun & it really makes going out better. read more

It's been a while since we'd been to an Applebee's, and now I remember why. I'm not sure why it's so popular with so many because it always leaves me cold. Don't get me wrong...it's not terrible or anything. But, it's all forgettable at best and especially considering the grand total, I can think of lots of other places I'd rather spend that money. The restaurant is clean and the service was fine. I was in the mood for ribs, so ordered those. They're nowhere NEAR "fall-off-the-bone"...honestly a bit dry, but covered in sticky sauce. And the side of 'slaw? It comes in a tiny little cup...the sort of thing salad dressing is often served in. Why even bother?? The best thing on the plate were the fries...actually really good! My wife ordered Chicken Freshcado. She said it had a really nice flavor and liked the avocado-pineapple relish that came on it. However, the rice (along with being a TINY amount also...what's with the weird, stingy sides??), was really undercooked...not just "al dente"...we're talking crunchy. The waiter apologized and offered to get her more, and he also knocked $3 off of the bill, so that was nice. Our daughter ordered the 3-cheese chicken penne, and she shrugged her shoulders and said it was okay. All in all, that was the reaction from all of us...a shrug of the shoulders, a "meh" and an agreement that we probably won't be back anytime soon. read more

My boyfriend and I came here for a meal a few days ago. I ordered the chicken Alfredo and he ordered a medium rare steak. The chicken Alfredo was quite cold, bland, and overall not good. The chicken was tough, and his steak as more like well done. There was no taste. Our waitress constantly interrupted our conversations, and was quite rude when we did try to make conversation. I go to all the Applebees all aroud the USA and this by far the largest one I have every been into. The service here was very slow but staff was friendly about it. They have a Wii in the bar which was cool. Flat screen everywhere. Food like always yummy but I do go at least once a week to the local Applebees by my house. What a ripoff! First of all, please Applebee's tell me how the hell our tab was a few cents shy of $50?! Really? $50 for mediocre food! My friend ordered a steak med rare, and he received it well done and it was not hot at all, but room temp food, so was mine. I ordered some pasta dish, and it was room temp! While we were seated within 5-10 mins after walking in, the service was "ok" to say the least. We waited to get a refill on our drinks, which we drank while eating our appetizers. So, when our entree's arrived, we were in need of refills, and the server didn't refill them, but somehow she had enough time to fratinize with one of her co workers, but not enough time to run over and refill our drinks, then she came by and said to me "I'm finding someone to bring your drinks." Really? All we were drinking were sodas, it's not that hard to refill them. Oh, and your flirting in front of all the customers was totally unprofessional. We didn't leave a tip on account of how much our tab was, since it seemed odd that we have dined at the Applebee's in the Northpointe area, and it was around $40 including a tip, and we ordered just as much food as we did tonight (and a beer), and we also took into account the fact she was unprofessional when flirting with her co worker and that we had to wait for refills AFTER I glared at her while she was at the servers station flirting. Ordered a pink triple bacon burger, no ranch, chipoltle bbq on the side with bbq fries(I know i eat like crap). Anyways burger comes out, right away no bbq sauce on side and no bbq fries. Ask for both, no worries easy fix. So I turn my attention to my burger which should have bacon in and on it. So I check it out, first the piece of meat just looks completely pressed and not even roundish. Also overcooked, only two temperatures here cmon, it ain't hard. This Applebees is consistent with any above average Applebees. Service was good, it was clean, and they were quick to get us seated despite being a busy Friday evening. The beer was cheaper than I thought it would be, which was awesome! My fries weren't flavorful and were luke warm, but the brisket was good. My boyfriend's dish was pretty good. Not so great. The service was fine, but the food....not so much. We ordered the Spinach Dip Appetizer which was suppose to be served hot and it was barely warm. Do yourself a favor and DO NOT order the wedge salad. Blah! The lettuce was bitter and the dressing had zero flavor. We shared that and I only took the one bite. Our dinner was not even on the mediocre chart. My husband ordered the Roma Chicken and Shrimp. He said it was okay, but would not order it again. I ordered the Cedar Salmon with an artichoke sauce. When I saw my dish, it no where even resembled the photo shown on the menu. It was a extremely small piece of salmon with barely any sauce. I saw 4 tiny pieces of artichoke on it. I asked our server for more sauce which came in a tiny ramekin. Barely enough for half the salmon. I wish I would have taken a photo of the menu with the salmon shown and the one I was served for a side by side comparison. I wrote a review already directly to Applebee's corporate office and included our receipt number from our dinner over a week ago and have heard nothing back. read more

The second star is for the wait staff and manager as they were really trying on a night that was swamped but the kitchen was having a terrible night. My son and I ordered the 4 cheese Mac & Cheese and it was terrible. No cheese and tasteless pasta. We sent them back and I got the chicken strips basket, can't get that wrong right? Wrong! The strips were ok but the fries were cold, seriously it was worse than the Dairy Queen chicken basket and seemed to have the same dipping sauce. There are usually special deals going that are interesting to try and quite often they are pretty good. I have loved going to our Applebee's restaurant (Spokane Valley) ever since they opened many years ago. The service has always been top notch...until last night. Upon entering, I told the hostess there would be 10 or 11 of us. Oddly, she appeared put-out and went to set up some tables. After we were seated, the waitress came to take our drink orders. The first of us said, "Water, please." In an accusatory fashion, she said..."if you WANT 1/2 price appetizers you HAVE to get something other than water." We hadn't even ordered yet! Then without missing a snippy beat she added... "and once you order don't get up and move seats. You need to stay where you are....but if you want, go ahead, you just get someone else's food!" Wait..what?? I get it...buy beverage with 1/2 price appetizers. No biggy. However, I felt so belittled and demeaned by our waitress and she hadn't even taken my beverage order yet. It appeared our business was not welcome nor wanted for this millenial waitstaff to be above being kind or courteous. The next day, I contacted 'corporate.' Within hours, I received an email stating someone would be getting in touch with me very soon. The next day, I received a call from 'our' restaurant's manager. He listened... never once trying to excuse behavior. He said he was sorry and frankly was very embarrassed at how our party was treated, that this was NOT acceptable protocol. I was so impressed with how quickly Applebee's response time was and for how he actually listened. He sent me a generous gift card (which I didn't expect) and I told him because of this, I would certainly be back. My experience deserved a 1 star, but when management took my experience seriously, I changed it to a 5 star. read more

I have eaten at many Applebee's in numerous states. 95% of the time food and service is fantastic. Sadly not this time at this location. Wife and I went for dinner on a Wednesday night about 500pm. Place not overly crowded and we were seated as soon as we came in. Waitress greeted us quickly and took our order. Appetizer came in a few minuets and it was fine. Food came just a couple of minuets later. Waitress said food got done fast and she wanted to bring it right out so it wouldn't get cold. Interesting statement since when I picked up my rib it was barely warm, not hot at all. Fries were not hot either. Food flavor was good. By the time i was only a quarter of the way threw my meal everything was cold. Wife's salad was good but dry and had to ask for extra dressing 2 times. Some of the lettuce was old and discolored. This was my first time eating at this location and it will be my last. read more

Came during the weekend before hitting up some shops and decided to try Applebee's. Typical Applebee's restaurant, they are all the same. The riblets i ordered were dry and wish they placed more sauce on it, the sweet potato fries i liked and enjoyed it with the sauces, and that was pretty much it.
