We received a dirty plate and asked the manager Tim for a clean one and he never came back with it. We had to ask the host to get us a clean plate. It doesn't say much for the management there if they can't even get one of their customers a clean plate to eat off of. I hate that the staff always looks like they are running around frantically, even when its slow. It makes me feel like I have to rush to eat and get out of there. The food was just ok. I ordered dellivery today and it was a huge disaappointment. The portions were Smurf-size. The entree salad (chicken Caesar) add soup was $15.98. The salad was in a little plastic dish, filled mostly with the dressing conttainer, wilted, mushy lettuce and a tiny grilled chicken breast. The soup was in another tiny container, and tasted strangely sweet. Inedible. The spinach artichoke dip container was quite small, and only filled halfway. I've been here quite a few times but nothing has been a wow! My fav thing on the menu is the wonton tacos and boneless bbq wings! We got the 2 for $25 and everything we got today was really bland. Was given the wrong steak size and when I asked me waiter about she told me "I don't know what you want me to do, let me get my manager." Went to Applebees today in Spring Hill, on Commercial Way. Spent over $70 dollars and was told by the waitress, who was VERY APOLOGETIC and NICE, that we were not allowed to take our all you can eat meals him with us even though we had only one serving and left half of it there. What do they do with the food we did not take home? I did not want the waitress to get into trouble and I paid the bill but I WILL NOT BE GOING THERE AGAIN. Service is terrible! Management is just as bad-- what a great example for their staff! Do not order curbside ToGo-- you will find yourself waiting without being acknowledged-- and when you finally relent and go inside, they will avoid you. Don't go here, my water glass had stuff floating in it, and my second water glass had some white thing stuck on the outside of it. My appetizer plate had a hair on it. After waiting 45 minutes for entree, my plain baked potato had a bacon bit that looked like it had been through the dishwasher. The service was SUPER slow and it was dead inside. The manager on duty had terrible customer service and had a bad attitude. The food was terrible. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. From the minute my family and I walked in waited at least 15 minutes for water. Waited an additional 45 minutes for our food which didn't even come out right. Ordered drinks and they took 15-20 minutes at a time to also come out. Will never go to this restaurant again and the management (Millard) was a joke too his response to us giving the complaints on how long the food took he proceeded to bring out our receipt to see what time the ticket was done. My friends and I are night owls and we love applebees for the awesome drink and apps specials and we go a few times a month. That being said this past time going was the absolute worst experience I've ever had at an applebees or any restaurant really. Our server's name was Lorilyn(?) and she was just awful. We had to use the call server button just to get her attention after waiting 20 min to even get our drink orders. And then it took another 25 minutes to even get our drinks (some of which were wrong). And then a half hour later we finally got our apps and still waiting on refills and for her to fix the wrong drinks but it sounded like she just completely forgot. At one point we called the manager over and very calmly and politely pointed out all the issues we were having because at this point it had been like an hour and a half and we still didn't have the right drinks or even all the apps we ordered or even our food yet, but he did nothing to resolve any of it besides "I'll go check on your food" it sounded like he didn't care at all. And we're not ones to make a big scene and scream and moan over stuff so that's probably why he didn't actually do anything even though we were all very upset. We finally get our food and over half the table just decided to get a to go box because it had been two hours and we weren't expecting to be there that long. It was just really awful because three of us ordered the unlimited chicken tenders and riblits deal but couldn't even use it because of how incredibly slow it was. And the restaurant was over half empty. As we were all checking out and getting ready to go we overhear our waitress badmouthing us. Which was just absolutely unjustified because it was the worst service I've ever experienced and because we're good people we still tipped. I went into Applebee's with my realtor (we were out house hunting for me) with my service dog in her front harness strapped to my chest late this summer (HOT, HIGH HUMIDITY). I SHOWED the hostess that seated us the credentials hanging off of her carrier. She seated us in a booth and then the CHAOS began. Within 2 minutes a lady came flying over to the table sat down next me and slid across the booth while grabbing a menu and BLOCKING my face & dog.... she went on to explain that the Health Department was there - SO WHAT - by Federal Law a Service Animal is PERMITTED in a restaurant..... this continued on with 4 other workers in the restaurant. At ALL times that we were interrupted my service animal was 100% contained inside her carrier strapped to my chest and SLEEPING soundly....she wasn't even awake or moving except when someone PLUNKED down at our table and continued to interrupt us throughout our meal (which they couldn't even get the drink order correct). At one point, I gave them a cup and kindly asked for water for my service animal (the cup was STILL wrapped in plastic) - they came back and told me that the Mgr. asked that I feed my dog and give her water UNDER THE TABLE only - well.... when you have metal rods in your back and the reason for a small service animal who does all the work below your waist and brings it up to you - DOESN'T that defeat the purpose? They want a disabled person to bend over and crawl under the table to give a service animal a drink of water when it was well into the 90's that day and permitted 100% by law. IF i wanted to feed her on the table it is permitted (but I would never do such a thing). A service animal can go ANYWHERE that the "public" can - so if you can feed a toddler on the table and have them throwing food around and banging on their plate - well then..just comparing! I was APPALLED that this restaurant is NOT aware of ANY of the FEDERAL LAWS about Service Animals. I have reported them to the Department of Justice (2nd time in 14 yrs I have been SO RUDELY treated and they VIOLATED the FEDERAL LAW where I was pushed to filling out a report) - I didn't do it for me - but because of our returning veterans who are committing suicide at a rate of 23 a day and now they have learned that service animals are keeping those that sacrificed SO much for us alive - so IF I have to be their "front line defense" for them as they have done for us - then so be it. I do NOT want our returning veterans, who are traumatize to EVER be treated like I was that day - they had me in tears; can you imagine what it would do to a fragile veteran suffering from PTSD? This restaurant has NO CLUE about ANY laws, rules, regulations and treat customers poorly.... I will NEVER return and IF you are disabled - may I recommend that you choose elsewhere to eat.... read more

Very clean compared to other Applebees I have been to. Love the 1/2 price appetizers after 10 p.m. Try the boneless chicken wings. Professional Staff all around. The Servers are friendly, the Managers and GM double check that customers are pleased. The Bartenders are friendly, attentive and fast. They can make a huge assortment of drinks including great frozen one's. Many 2 for 1. Sunday Nights $1.99 absolute drinks try their Absolute Madres, they use Ocean Spray Cranberry, and Tropicana O.J. Used to enjoy this place, but last time it was pretty bad. First of all, it smelled like old dish water when we sat down. Food was really poor in both taste and presentation. After a follow up complaint with suggestions- they sent me two five dollar coupons. Went to this Applebee's location with my girlfriend on 10/10/14 and it was ok. We ordered the 2 for 20 specials. I got the chicken penne and she got the steak. We both had mozzarella sticks with the order and both enjoyed it. When our food came it was different. I enjoyed my penne but her steak was rare, when she asked for a medium. Not only that but her "steamed" broccoli was hard as a rock, however she liked the potatoes. We are both culinary arts students and knew that it was rare because of the pink/red center. Despite dinner, it was still a good date, because we played mini golf at Congo. A little advice, order a medium steak if you want rare because chances are you may get sick if you ask for rare and its raw. read more
