Riblets are not ribs! I have Applebees on the do not frequent list. The one thing this Applebees used to have going for it is that it served the local beer Blue Collar. When that went out of business, nothing was left. The burgers are frozen and served on dry buns. There is nothing on the menu that shines. While one may come across something that is okay, the menu changes frequently so it is not likely he will be able to repeat that order. This is a popular spot so the wait is usually significant. Applebees did add curbside service. We have used that and it has worked well. We order ahead of time and there are three parking spots directly in front. A waitress comes out and brings the food and can run a credit card from your vehicle. read more

Terrible as usual. Went in to grab a quick bite and ordered apps. They were cold and the chips were drenched in salt. The waiter was an ass and said that's how they come. I asked if they made them in the restaurant, he said yes we fry the tortillas here and then we put salt. I asked for a new order and he told me no they will come out like that again. I asked for the check, then he offered to refill my drink. When he returned he told me he checked with the manager and nothing could be done about the apps. I doubt he asked. Very poor service received by a waitress by the name of Rachel. I had a lemonade along with my order. I finished my lemonade before our food came out. When Rachel came with our food I asked her whenever she had a chance if she could bring me a refill of lemonade. She said sure. A few minutes goes by and I noticed she refilled some drinks for others at the other end of our table. She forgot mine (which is fine - we all forget sometimes). She then goes to another table and starts chatting and taking their order. My boyfriend flags her down and asks for my refill as now ~10 minutes have passed since I have asked for a refill. She cuts him off mid-sentence and says "lemonade, got it." At this point she goes back chatting up the other table and then proceeds to go to the bar and get their margaritas. At this point, I was getting frustrated, so I went to the bar and asked for a lemonade. At this point Rachel snatches my cup out of my hand and says "I've got your refill." I go back to my seat and when she comes with my drink I say thank you and she completely ignores me. I'm very disappointed that I had to deal with this woman's presence today. She really put a sour touch to my Easter afternoon. Needless to say, I will not make the mistake again of being a customer at this establishment. read more

Although I am not a big bar person, I am a big wing person and Applebees has the biggest wings around! The beer is cold and I always get a nice frosty, tall glass. The burgers are great compared to the fast food chains, especially when you consider how much they are charging at the fast food places and what you get for it! The ribs are just the way I like them whether they are dry or with one of their sauces. Let me tell you what makes all these dishes really shine though....Its the people. The servers are very attentive and are actually smiling and seem happy. I have been to the other area eateries like long horn, chills, Bennigans, texas road house, Cosmo, Bob Evans, you name it, I have eaten there several times over, and none of them come close to Applebees for their service, the friendly attitude of the staff there and the bang for the buck you get as far as food is concerned. A couple of things to try when you go: wings but get them dry with the sauce on the side. Aside from the very rude child, being encouraged to scream, at the table behind us, our experience was so-so. We had to move to another booth due to the child's high pitched screams, which left my ears ringing for 5 minutes. Servers were very nice and went out of their way to please us. I got side salad, which tasted so fresh from the field that still had the soil on it, lol. Suggested that they wash their greens before they served them, it was taken off the bill. We've been here twice in August...twice too many. First time the key lime chicken didn't have much taste at all; probably because it had so much cheese. Rice was cold and tasteless...no flavor at all. Combo appetizer wasn't bad, but had trouble with dipping into spinach dip..again because of so much cheese. We waited quite a while for our food. Server never cleared away dirty dishes and never checked back to refill our drinks. I went to the hostess to request more since our server had disappeared.I We decided we'd try again figuring maybe the first time was an off night. Tonight was even more of a disappointment. We had to wait outside in the rain before being seated even though there was room under the tent away from tables especially since some tables were empty. Several servers huddled under an umbrella at the hostess station. We got our drinks and shortly after were told we'd have to take our food to go since there was a storm approaching. Fine except we went there because we did not want take out, but wanted to sit and relax with a friend we don't see often. Food took forever. We requested take out drinks since ours were empty or watery by now and also requested our bill so we could pay it and be ready to leave when we finally got our food. Again waiter disappeared after dropping off bill even though I was ready to pay. Drinks came much later after food was delivered so our food was cold. This is absolutely our last trip to Applebee's. good is so so and takes forever to get. The only thing the servers do well is huddle under the umbrella at the hostess station or inside the door. Visited this establishment on Friday January 4th, 2019. It was a typical busy Friday night when we arrived and had to wait 15 minutes for a table. Which is no big deal. Once we were sat our server I didnt get her name was absolutely great. She brought us our refills very timely. She was very attentive to our needs and was very friendly. Our food was done to perfection I usually get the three cheese chicken penne and it was very good. Overall the food, the staff and the atmosphere was very enjoyable. The service at the Applebee's in Vineland was excellent the food was good Brenda was an amazing waitress! Would never go to the Vineland Applebee's restaurant again. The food is typical diner/american food, but the service is ridiculous. The first 2 times we had the same unfriendly, lazy woman who go our orders wrong both times. Ok so I am a bit disappointed in the reataurant. To be the only thing open after 10 I would hope there would be a bit more to offer. I had visited this Applebee's on a Saturday evening. The waitress was very friendly. I ordered an appetizer and dinner. The appetizer was fine. My girlfriend and I got our dinners. Both were overcooked and rubbery. Not to mention the food tasted like they didn't clean off the grills. Had a nasty taste to it. I went to Applebee's in Vineland today to enjoy a great outing with my family and received the WORST service possible from this waitress named Rachel. She seemed to have a nasty attitude the entire time she waited on us from start to finish. She was didn't come around from the time she took the orders and gave us our drinks to the time the orders arrived. Once the orders arrived she did not come to check on us. We had to flag her down for refills (even the first one) and was annoyed to do that. 20 minutes went by and she didn't bring the refills out but came back out to start orders for another table. Once she was done starting the other table she still didn't come out with our refills. We flagged her down again to ask her for refills and she acknowledged and walked away. I noticed she had time to chat it up with other waitresses who were actually working. When they walked away, she went to chat with the bartender. After about ten minutes, we saw her fix drinks for another table and go back to chatting. My girl then goes up to someone else to get a refill and the waitress, Rachel, snatched the cup out of her hands and said "I got your refill". Once she came back, she asked in a very disgusted voice, "Who else need a refill before I go?" She then comes back with a messed up order of refills we had to ask her for three times. Whatever you do, don't have this woman as your waitress. She doesn't have the right attitude or patience for customer service. My fiance and I visited this location Thursday evening and were shocked with how terrible their customer service is. We walked in and it wasn not very busy. There were two hosts assisting a family ahead of us. However, we stood in the doorway for several minutes without any sort of acknowledgement. There was no "Welcome to Applebees we will be right with you" or anything of the sort. They said nothing. Finally, my fiance spoke up and told them we would like a table for two. The two employees at the host area looked up at us briefly and then looked away. Still they said NOTHING. We waited a couple more minutes. As we were waiting, one of their waitresses nearly slammed into an elderly man she was whizzing past. She did not apologize to the man nor did she excuse herself. She said nothing. That is when we turned around and walked out. We would rather eat anywhere else in the area than be met with such gross disrespect and to witness an even grosser disrespect for the elderly. The applebees in Turnersville and the one in Sicklerville are much friendlier and more courteous. This location gives applebees a bad name. read more
