Good food, and great service and plenty of room for our group dinner. We had several servers who were helping out but one main who was fantastic. Drinks were brought promptly, food came out as quickly as the kitchen prepared it and everyone was happy. I ordered some chicken tortilla soup to start and then a burger with fries. Both were prepared to order, and both came out hot and delicious. And then opted to order this chocolate dessert with ice cream and it also came out quickly and was delicious. I hadn't been to an Applebee's in years and this was my first time to this location and I'm looking forward to the next time I come back here. Worst dining experience my wife and I have had in a while. The only positive thing I can say about this place is that the server was attentive. We both decided on the Bourbon street chicken and shrimp with mashed potatoes. Bland, flavorless, and enough oil to prepare multiple meals. Cold mash, mushy watered down onions and mushrooms, and over cooked dry chicken is what we received. I think someone may have locked up the spices in the cabinet because there was absolutely zero flavor. My take away from this experience leaves me questioning, where's the neighborhood where they're eating good? read more

I usually get to Applebees at least once a week. The food is excellent. My favorite is the Rib Eye Steak. They are Yummy. The service is excellent. At times it seems there are more servers than customers. The ambiance is okay; but their football wall display needs to be updated to show current players. read more

My last review in 2018 for this Applebee's was so judgmental, haha! I've been a few times since then, and have honestly nothing but nice things to say. Servers were friendly except for one bearded guy who seemed either frustrated or tired, hosts were good, food was good, COVID-19 precautions seemed good, drinks were good, all was well! Last time I went, I got the Quesadilla Burger. Now, that burger is actually PACKED with calories - I think 1,200??? That's why I only ate half... (that's what I tell myself anyway). It was delicious, had a tiny kick to it due to the pepper jack cheese but was pretty mild and cheesy and tasty. It was MESSY though, so be prepared for the tortilla to start falling apart due to the weight of the burger! However, I was impressed and would likely order again. Generally speaking, Applebee's is a good place to go for a nice, meaty burger. Covid-19: Everyone wore masks. Tables were distanced. Not much else to say! read more

Came here the other night to watch the Ravens game. First thing I noticed was that they're not handing out menus, but instead having you scan a QR code to bring up on your phone. I liked this. It made me feel a lot better knowing I didn't have to touch a menu that many others were touching. While my service was good, my only complaint is the food. It just wasn't satisfying.. mashed potatoes were mushy and the shrimp were salty. They did have TVs everywhere with the game on. I recommend coming for the drinks and game, but not expecting too much from the food. read more

I used to love coming here to get half priced apps! After 9 on weekdays! I called ahead to make sure they still started at 9 PM and over the phone I was told "half priced apps will be served from 9PM-11PM." However, when I arrived at 9:28PM they were getting ready to lock the door. We were still seated but the hostess said "by the way we close at 10 now so you only have 30 minutes." I was unaware they closed at 10 now so I asked if they started the half priced apps earlier so you'd have longer than an hour to get in and get your food and she basically just said "no...." and walked away. read more

Great, attentive, knowledgeable waitress who was very kind and accommodating. The food was also very good. Drinks were outstanding!

My husband and I went here on Saturday March 11th. We were greeted by the waitress and got our drinks. My beer was warm and flat. So I returned it and asked for a bottle instead. Appetizer was served with no plates. The waitress is invisible at this point. A different one brought the plates and we ate. Another, different waitress brought the food. We were not offered any refills. Weren't asked about the food. Which was good. Though cold. I personally will not go back anytime soon. It's painfully apparent that they're having a difficult time getting, even somewhat, decent employees. What a shame. read more

The service from G Sharoya was great. She greeted me with a big smile on her face. She was attentive, remembered I liked extra lemon in my tea. My favorite is the chicken wontons. I drove over 30 minutes to get some, plus I got their strawberry salad to go. Wish there was an Applebee's near me. But maybe not, then I would need a gym. I worked at the Applebees in Westminster for 3 and half years and I have never worked with a general manager that is so Disrespectful and Nasty,yesterday I was the only cook on line and she got so mad because she had to help me cook,now I'm cooking for all three stations and she asked me why is these pretzels going on a long time and I said to her that I'm trying to cook other things, she first gave me the middle finger and then she called me a whining bitch and told me to leave and as I was leaving she then called me a 51 year old that all I know is cooking and I don't know nothing else,this is not the first time I've had problems with her,she is not a good manager or person if you ask me all she do is sit in the office and then come out and play with some of the servers or fix her self some food, I have never had any manager talk to me like that where ever I worked at read more

Wife and I ate here for lunch. We got the 2 for $20 which came with an app and two entrees. We started with the classic buffalo boneless wings which had a good coating of sauce and good flavor and came with the usual celery and blue cheese or ranch. I admit that when I first visited an Applebee's in Virginia 14 years ago I was not impressed. All of their food was over-peppered and spicy as you can get. But since moving back to Westminster, MD, I have found that the Applebee's here is quite the opposite. Yesterday at lunchtime, I had the roast beef sliders au jus and a cup of the French onion soup and honestly, I haven't had anything that tasty in quite awhile! Also love their oriental chicken salad with a side of soup. Cannot say enough good about their "pick two" lunches. As for service, my family has always been welcomed by friendly staff, who not only seat you quickly but also give you a cheery sendoff upon leaving. read more

I was a hater before of this joint due to a bad experience with a waitress who poisoned my mother with a gluten allergy. I just came in today with my family to give it one last chance and it has been incredible. We've had Adam the waiter and he was incredible with the allergies and was willing to help 100% and was extremely educated. The food was like the usual, nothing spectacular but again this is Westminster so I wouldn't expect like a Gordon Ramsey like meal. But Adam was incredible we blacklisted this place before but we'll make sure to call and make sure he's working so we know we're having some good food. Would definitely recommend to vegans because the waiter was very knowledgeable about all the foods and ingredients. Definitely felt safe eating here. read more

Overall, a solid 4 stars, will even say 4&1/2 of late at this location. The service is always OK or better. Even their less than perfect servers are improved by the teamwork we see at this site. The tabletop device allows drink refills to be requested even if the server is busy elsewhere. It also can expedite bill payment. We had another tasty late supper tonite, so it's time for me to risk jinxing our Monday nite Burger streak & commit to this review. Have loved their Oriental Chicken Salad for years, & their Grilled style has become my new fave. Their other "2 for $20" entrees have been consistently tasty. We dig the salsa Verde brisket nachos. The mozz- sticks are plenty cheesy, & 8 in an order allows easy sharing, also a kids fave. We have tried the chicken wonton tacos, pot stickers, & all four Boneless Wings, & enjoyed them all. (Sweet Chili is the best wing sauce, nice sweet heat & spicy build ;-) The kid's chicken tenders are decent sized white meat strips, not mere re-formed white bits pressed together. The fries have been hot & tasty, sometimes the kids like the seasoned ones, or the fresh chips instead. I also like the Sweet tater fries, but the kids don't eat enough of mine, so I eat more than I should. The All Day Brunch Burger rocks. Three times now the egg on top has been perfectly cooked, hot but still oozy. I get cheddar instead of american, & hold the ketchup, since the yolk is saucy enough & the brioche bun is fresh & soft. The patty was perfectly cooked, w/ onions & bacon seared inside + hash browns on top, too. The Blazin' Texan Burger is all about the jalapeños, sometimes spicier heat than others,but always tasty. These specialty burgers had the unlimited fry refills, added bonus. We also enjoy the Chocolate Meltdown for dessert, again large enough to share. Chocolate Lava cake+ vanilla ice cream & fudgy chocolate sauce, what's not to love. How many spoons? The restrooms have always been clean & tidy, appreciated by us hand-washers & this ice tea AND water drinker! We avoid the Friday nite Local Band hours, just too loud & offkey for our taste. There are regular groups here most Saturdays, but they seem able to handle groups well, whether reserved or not. This site has done many school fundraisers over the years, & is really a solid addition to the community. We hope this site keeps up the good work! read more

Former Employee of this Applebees here. If you value your health and well-being, do not dine at this establishment. I was a cook here, one of the many reasons I quit was because of the state of that kitchen. We were expected to BREAK the law for them and change the labels of food that had gone out of date. The only time something was disposed of was when there was VISIBLE mold on it. The meat always looked disgusting and gray. I also personally witnessed a manager going down the kitchen line and spraying all of the FOOD with Lysol because it was cold season and that apparently seemed like a decent idea to him. So again. Timing was great got seated right away. Server was friendly, (at first then closer to the end of the night her attitude changed). I asked what kind of specials they had on drinks she named off a few and what they had on tap. She mentioned Yingling and then Hershey's chocolate Yingling, she changed her mind and said oh no we don't have that. I mentioned I need a moment to decide on what I wanted and before she walked away I just asked if she could double check, with a thank you. She found out came back and said we didn't have it on tap. So then I ordered a different drink, we ordered our food then food came out. She stopped by the table once to see how everything was. We had to ask for a box to go she's didn't offer one and then a few minutes later she put the check on the table when we didn't even ask for the check we were going to order dessert. Me and my other family member were pretty disappointed that we didn't order dessert she didn't even come back to the table. Not sure if that was a way of her kicking us out...Not sure if she was having a bad night or something went wrong. Not even a thanks for coming in or have a good night. My family member had to go to the bar to get her pay for the bill. Not really a good experience for people who haven't been there in over several years. read more

A friend and I had dinner at Applebees on Tuesday night. We both had the steak salad and shared the onion rings. I also had the French onion soup. The onion rings came out almost burnt which we commented on and the waitress brought us out another which was only slightly less overdone. The salads looked un-appetizing and the French onion soup looked like it had been sitting around for a day or two. We wondered if it was the regular cooks night off? We won't be going back. The service here was so bad. We walked in and the hostesses were chatting at the bar. They saw us come in, but ignored us. When one came over, she was annoyed that we were there. She also was confused about where to put us, and wandered around the restaraunt in a loop until she sat us. Our waiter took 10 minutes to finally come over, because he was sitting with his buddies at the table behind us, chatting. The food came out quickly, but I felt weird about the fact that he was sitting right behind us while we ate. The second my boyfriend put down his credit card, he hustled over and took it. I guess they don't mind hurrying when they want to get rid of people. Maybe if this was at 3pm I could understand that the staff was taking a break, but it was 8pm. Granted it was Tuesday, but still. I got the cowboy burger and it was great, but I will never come back here again. The ketchup bottles were upside down and backwards, the salt and peppers weren't in order, etc. Maybe I am nit-picking, but I work at a chain restaraunt and if our place ever looked like that, we would all be fired. read more

I have always enjoyed the food at Applebee's but my past 2 visits had really upset me. My hostess Ms. Maria A did not treat us well tonight. She did not greeted us well and served the food in most unorganized manner. She did not bring us what we ordered, and on top of it she was not apologetic at all. She was offering us freebies for the incorrect order. She did not got us any plates and the food was lying there for 10 minutes. Well what can you expect from Applebees? Just left this location from eating lunch with my boyfriend. It took us 20 minutes to get straws AND we had to ask for them. Our server took our order and didn't check on us for that long. I understand it was the middle of lunch rush, however, I have been to many restaurants during lunch rush and had way more attentive servers. We order beer public pretzels which, according to the menu, comes with the beer cheese and honey Dijon dressing. There was no honey Dijon dressing and just 2 little pretzel sticks.... I asked for mustard and was handed a bottle of Heinz mustard. I also ordered the tomato basil soup with no cheese and house salad with no cheese. Both came out with cheese so I had to send it back. The manager delivered my soup after the server brought out my salad. Usually the managers make rounds at tables and ask how everything is....nope.... She just dropped off my soup without a word. Another thing I didn't like is the little tablet they give you to pay. I played with my card but wanted to leave cash tip but the little app basically is confusing and more or less tricked me into leaving 20% on your card. I would have rather left cash since I worked as a server years ago and I know they have to report credit tips..... All in all, not too pleased with this visit. Its a clean restaurant at least. While dining at the restaurant around noon on Mothers's Day '16 with my family we observed a white male wearing a blue shirt seated eating in the dining area. Within moments after being seated he began blowing his nose. This was not a simple blow. He blew it several times clearing his entire nasal tract. We asked to be seated in a different area. As we were seated we were shocked to see the gentleman working the restaurant floor. We were even shocked to learn that he was the MANAGER. Just had a really enjoyable night hanging out with a large group of friends at Applebee's -- where the waitress was wonderful, and fully deserved the extra tip that many of us gave her. How she dealt with all the musical chairs that was going on and remembered each person's order was remarkable. Kudos to Applebee's for having well-trained staff who are willing to work with large groups of people, and allow us to do individual checks. read more

So dissapointed in our visit :( I ordered the pick 3 sample platter and in that I decided on steak quesadillas, hot boneless wings and the wonton tacos. To start, my wings came out first...and alone! Not only was the rest of my "platter" not ready, these wings were over cooked and did not have the wing sauce I asked for. Instead it seemed as if the cooked dumped hot sauce and cracked some black pepper over them. Needless to say they were disgusting. I did ask our server for more wing sauce, but it didn't help. Next to show up was my steak quesadillas, still didn't have my whole order and they brought me chicken instead of steak. The server quickly took them back and arranged for me to receive a while order of steak quesadillas because of the mistake. Thanks for the effort, but they were horrible. Finally my wonton tacos came and they were the best part of my meal. I should've just order a whole order of them. In all, food was the worst ever and service wasn't too much to chat about. Applebees used to be one of our favorite stops in Westminster but I doubt we will be back. Looks like those chain restaurants care more about mine and expansion over service and taste. read more
