I've been visiting this gem often for almost 2 years now. Stellar establishment! My favz to date happens to be the Gumbo (Limited Edition), Wings (All Flavors), Salad, Fries, Mocktails, etc. The customer service is always top notch from the hostess at front podium to the super sweet bartenders who are very attentive. The dining room, bar area and restrooms are always super clean !! They have Burger Night on Mondays. $7 Burgers w Handcut Fries, 1/2 Price Wing Night on Wednesdays. That's 8 bucks yall!! They keep a fresh monthly menu that I love !! It's limited edition apps, entrées and beverages !! They have Flavor of the Week Burgers and Wings. They're so creative. Great pressed Cuban sandwich, best grouper sandwich, good food. We were out on Liberty road, near Oscar's Alehouse in Eldersburg MD, and we remembered the excellent grouper sandwiches we've had here. They were good as the ones we got fresh in Florida. We wanted takeout this time, and decided on their $16 Cuban pressed sandwich. It's layers of tender thin-sliced slow-roasted pork, ham, and Swiss cheese. The bread is like a french baguette, pressed and crispy-toasted, spread with yellow mustard and tangy dill-pickle chips. It's a rich handful of a sandwich. It came with generous hot soft boardwalk-style fries. Oscar's was quick and friendly. The sandwich was excellent! read more

Great place not to far from home. I had a gift certificate that I had been meaning to redeem for a while. Since I was off for the holiday it seemed like a good opportunity. Parking lot was packed on the Thursday I went. Inside it was pretty busy as well. Lots of large groups in the dining area. The hostess was friendly and there was just a few minutes wait for a table to be cleaned for us. After being seated a friendly waiter took our drink orders. I decided to try their house beer, Oscar's Lucky 12 to start. Drinks came out very quickly. By the time he was back with them we decided on what we wanted to eat. The menu is American Pub Fare. I had the Turkey Avocado Club that came with a side of fries. The sandwich was delicious and pilled high with freshly sliced turkey. Fries were crispy and delicious as well. Definitely a 5 for the food. I ordered their seasonal Brown Sugar Whiskey Sour. Man it was heavy on the sour. Not something I would get against The service was a definite 5 as well. Everyone there was nice and welcoming. I want to go back soon on a Wednesday night to see how good the wings are for the special that day. read more

We came here for a family function and the place was absolutely slammed, so service was a bit slow--but understandable. The food was just okay overall, though the crab dip was a standout and something we really enjoyed. We were disappointed they didn't have crab cakes on the menu. Love at first sight, and love at first bite. I came here on a Wednesday evening with my girlfriend's family, and everything was perfect. I love the rustic feel of this place, super homey. We played their weekly trivia, which was awesome! So much fun for everyone. The service was incredible, all the staff is super personable and friendly. I ordered the Eldersburger well done, it was cooked perfectly and was so juicy. Everything was so delicious and fairly priced as well. I really enjoyed the bacon cheeseburger. It came with fries, and I dipped them in ketchup and mayo. My girlfriend got a Reuben sandwich and a side salad-- it was my first time trying corn beef, and might I say, certainly not my last. The Reuben was incredible, and the balsamic dressing for the salad was to die for! My girlfriend's dad got the chicken parm sandwich special, which looked incredible. The Only Review You Need To Read We've seen this place every time we've visited this plaza, and during our most recent trip, people leaving the restaurant raved to us about how good it was. So we finally decided to try it. There were lots of items on the menu which sounded tasty, but I opted for a bowl of cream of crab soup as my starter with the wood-fired shrimp & bacon club sandwich as my entree. And my funny little hunny ordered the honey salmon & shrimp plate. The cream of crab was merely okay, though it was topped with a nice amount of crab meat. The shrimp & bacon sandwich was really good (made even better with honey mustard sauce on the side). My girlfriend complained that the seasoning on her shrimp dish was too spicy (and we learned afterwards we could order it without the seasoning), and the salmon was okay. The jasmine rice was very dry and she didn't even finish it. Our server Kelly was very friendly and attentive, and her laugh made us both smile. The gender identifiers on the restroom doors were pretty funny, and the ambience was very nice. There is a bar area in the back, and I'm sure the place gets pretty busy around dinner time, then more energized later into the night. Overall, it was a very pleasurable experience and given that there were so many other delicious-sounding items on the menu, we definitely will be back. read more

This is a great bar / restaurant for a Gilrfriend's Catch Up !!!! Nice casual place with delicious food !!! We had not had some catch up time together in a while and Oscar's let us sit, eat, drink, sit , eat , drink for almost 4 hours !!!! Our server Jacob is WONDERFUL !!!!! I had the Mushroom Swiss Burger with Onion Rings and I tried!!! I tried to eat all of it because it's SO TASTY !!!!! LoL LoL My friends each got salads and they were huge , hearty and they thoroughly enjoyed them. We shared the Tres Leches cake for dessert and it did not disapoint. I am SO returning !!!!!! I'm pretty sure I've reviewed this place and if I haven't shame on me. Oscars is one of my few repeat spots. I love that special menu changes with the seasons although I wish one of my favs ( chicken gumbo) could be on the menu year round. They did take my favorite dish, the open face meatloaf sandwich off the menu, broke my heart. I have never had a disappointment with anything that I've ordered. I'll get around to trying the pizza one day....i hear it's worth a try. read more

We have visited Eldersburg for years and often passed the shopping center in which Oscar's Alehouse is located without stopping in. The restaurant has a deceptively small appearance from the exterior. Once you enter, the place is rather large, with multiple dining rooms and extends farther back than the parking lot and storefront appear. On a busy Friday night, we were seated immediately. The guests all appeared to b enjoying themselves. Note, it is loud. People are in conversation, there are televisions on and lots of hustle and bustle. We ordered the Three Cheese Crab Dip off the appetizer menu. The appetizer is amply sized and plenty for two to four people. Served with grilled ciabatta bread and tortilla chips, we had enough dippers for the whole dip without having to ask for more. We also tried a cup of the cream of crab soup, which had plenty of flavor, between the crabmeat and Old Bay seasoning. Finally, we split the the Eldersburger, a nice quarter or 1/3 lb burger topped with cheddar cheese and applewood smoked bacon. Despite the crowd, our server was attentive and returned several times to refill drinks and provided change swiftly. The reviews seemed promising but not sure why people like this place? It seems like a nice place for a happy hour & night out but we stopped by since we were in town for something else. The food was just ok. Wasn't a fan of it but it could have been my choice since I got the ahi tuna wrap. The other food looks better but stomach was not feeling it so I needed something light. Had a great time at Oscars Alehouse! If your in Eldersburg, and you haven't been to Oscars, your doing it wrong! Oscars has more beers than one would expect in Carroll County. Lagers, heferweizen, IPA's on tap and in bottles or cans. Great appetizers. Well done paella. Hamburgers, fries, nachos and other bar necessities. And the back bar has multiple TV's. We still continue to love this place (repeat customer). This time my 11 year old tried food from the adult menu and loved it. This is turning into one of our staples for daddy daughter dates. Service and food is always great. Can always rely on this place to be consistent!! Stephanie served us tonight and we've had her twice now. She's very quick with refills and helpful when it comes to menu items. Love the atmosphere of this place too, by far my boyfriend and I'd favorite restaurant. We visit at least twice a month. I came to watch the Ravens game and eat some good bar food! I had some old bay wings and a bowl of crab soup. I didn't realize they only had Cream of Crab until it arrived. I was expecting vegetable crab soup, as I would have ordered the French Onion Soup instead. I should have read the menu better. In any case, the Cream of Crab was delicious and filled with delightful lump crab meat. Also, I had Santa's hat drink, which was nice and sweet, with a little bite to it. I considered the dessert, the mega chocolate cake, but opted not to get dessert. As I walked out, I was sorry to see it being served at a table, and it looked amazing! Was in town on a weekday night and needed a quick place to eat dinner, so we stopped by Oscar's. Wait wasn't bad, maybe 5 mins tops. To eat, we split the nachos, the old bay wings, and the buffalo chicken sandwich. The best part out of everything was the fries that came with the sandwich. The nachos were SO basic and lacked flavor. I think I could have made them better at home with a bag of shredded cheese. Toppings were skimpy and chips were burnt. Wings were OK, a bit dry but nothing some blue cheese can't help. The sandwich bread was not good (tasted like pizza dough), and the chicken portion was skimpy, but I ended up just eating the chicken stand-alone with the fries and made do. Staff answering the phones is incompetent and slow. One lady picked up and put us on hold to talk to a child who knew nothing only for her to put us on hold again with the original person. Just trying to place a takeout order and had a question we had to repeat multiple times. Call took 8 minutes of our life away. Tells us it will take 25-30 mins for the order to be ready. Arrived within 27 minutes. Still waiting here after 20+ more minutes and still not ready. Buffalo wings could use a lot more sauce. Chili cheese fries were congealed by the time we got home which is an 8min drive away. Fried pickles are good. Crabby bites are alright but could be saucier. read more

Work trainings in the middle of no where and YELP saves me every time!! Found this place looking for lunch. The restaurant was clean, staff greeted me when I walked in with a smile so that was a plus. These days I'm watching my figure *wink wink* so I just opted for a good ol Caesar Salad and an order of the Tex Mex rolls with a Ginger Ale. My salad was fresh and the rolls were ok. We came in on 4/18/25 around 8 pm and sat the bar which was empty. The bartender took our drink and food order without writing it down so the food came out wrong. The manager fixed it. Then it came time to pay and went home only to find out that our card was overcharged for $600 not once but THREE times! We drove back to go and fix the problem in the store. The manager made some excuse and said everything should clear up that night. No apologies or any kind of compensation was offered. It is 4/23/25 and we haven't gotten refunded for those THREE charges and haven't heard from the manager or the restaurant. We couldn't access our bank all weekend waiting for these pending charges! read more

BBQ burger was great. Cooked to order and onion rings on top were hot and crispy. Fries were room temp and obviously not fresh but were fine. Are probably good when fresh. Wife got pulled pork sandwich. I tried it - pretty dry and not a ton of flavor. She had the same complaint about fries. Daughter got kid's pepperoni pizza and was very happy with it. We went here with our family for our anniversary just before Christmas. This was our third visit over several years but our family who live here eat there often. The atmosphere is friendly and the decor is anything but boring - truly pub worthy. The service is great and the food is really good. The tap selection is wide and varied. The only negative at all is the parking lot. It is large, usually crowded, and complicated to maneuver. Don't let that keep you away. Oscar's is probably the best local option. read more
