I use to go to apple bees all the time but I have taken a break from them because the last few times I went the food wasn't fresh and it didn't taste good at all. The service here is always a hit or miss, you don't know if you are going to get a good or bad server, but this time I went the service was great and I didn't care for the food, I ordered the appetizer platter and just doesn't taste like it use to. Did a Togo and ordered a large amount of items, I was alittle worried because places always seem to mess up and forget something (almost always). But Applebee's didn't and I appreciate that! We arrived to find the restaurant staffed for the Saturday dinner rush that hasn't yet arrived. There were a number of staff members standing around seemingly with nothing to do yet. The service was fine, but the food quality was lacking. We got seated immediately, but there were problems with everything after that. The Dr. Pepper had no syrup. The mozzarella sticks weren't brought out with the first order (credit our server for realizing this and bringing new ones). When they did come out, they and the chicken tenders both looked like the oil was in need of being changed. There was no ranch dipping sauce. It just seemed like problem after problem. At first you would think this is a standard Applebee's, by have a seat in the bar area and you may be lucky enough to be served by Joe or Jasmine. Either will go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your visit. The unlimited riblets or chicken tenders has returned. This time I selected the riblets in the spicy sauce. Took mom for a steak meal with add a dozen shrimp for $1 meal today. Mom's medium steak was over cooked and we sent it back. Our server was Tara and she was great. Instead of trying to further cook the steak or just replace it - as most places likely would - Applebees replaced mom's entire meal plus the shrimp. What a pleasant surprise and major kudos to management for exemplary customer service. No doubt we will increase our dining out at this location. Great service all around. read more

Stopped in the other night ordered our dinner carside to go because it was cold and the restraunt was packed inside . Ordered for our kids as well we got home to discover they didn't pack our kids dinner and my chicken wonton tacos were soggy and the one taco that wasn't soggy was pathetic at best . Not bad, but not the best Applebees out there. Atmosphere feels a little unwelcoming and they have a table right next to the door so when people come and go during the winter it's FREEZING. Staff is pretty friendly though. I think I would just prefer the southgate location :) read more

I've been coming here for years and this is the worst service i've ever had. The manager Katie was unhelpful and served one of my guests with a food allergy the wrong dish, after waiting over an hour for the meal. I will drive to a further location next time. I wanted to love it. I ordered online and picked to go and had no problem. I just wasn't a fan of the food. I don't think it's the restaurant, it's recipe. I bought the bourbon chicken and it came with shrimp and mash potatoes. 2 for 22 deal so we had artichoke dip as appetizer. The items on 2 for 22, there were only about 2 items that counted for the deal everything else was extra. If you weren't going to get the burger or chicken tenders for main dish it was extra. Our meal came up to $30. I kinda felt a little tricked I had to go look at the meal prices to see why my meal jump from 22 to 30. The artichoke dip was missing. So we had chips with a small salsa dip. The bourbon chicken had no bourbon taste or familiarity to it. It just tasted like season chicken. I'm trying not to be picky but the quality could've been better. It was dry for some odd reason.... the chicken was swimming in oil. We had so much oil I wish we took a picture to only show the manager. It was like someone put a 1/2 cup of lite oil in the container. My container actually spilled. It was a mess, no napkins no forks. We called, accepted the choice to have a gift card. The manger only wanted to give us $25 dollars back. We did talk again to get our full money in gift card. I thought that process was a little crazy. We were not the only ones to complain about the oil (as the manager said) and the fact we're missing the artichoke dip to the chips shouldn't have been a issue in replacement. She also said we should next time order the chicken in a separate container. No, you guys should, it's a problem people have called you about so you guys should take the suggestion and either drain some of it or put it in a separate container. People are not going to know that when ordering. However, we tried it again a couple days later. We had the chicken Alfredo. We shouldn't have. The sauce was barely there and tasted from a can. I mean yeah I was expecting something a little homemade/real or at least Olive Garden type sauce. Chicken was a weird texture. They should've used that bourbon chicken or something. I don't feel like my expectations are high. But the price doesn't justify taste. That Alfredo sauce should taste better for $15 a plate. The bar across my house sells Alfredo for $10.99, chicken$3,shrimp $5. The sauce taste homemade coming from a bar. You guys are so similar in price why come? I'm so disappointed. I still feel I wasted my money I couldn't eat the Alfredo and I had half bourbon chicken. I really hope some how things get better. read more

Applebee's is a good place to go for half off apps. They are surprisingly pretty expensive in comparison to more places in the area. I got a breakfast burger and it was 12 bucks. That's pretty high for the area. The service was fantastic though. We had a male server and he was great and was Johnny on the spot with every need. I wanna start off with I've been going here since I was a kid. I'm now 22 years old... keep this in mind.. I go there with my best friend, who is also the same age I am. we get seated at our table and waiter asked us what we wanted to drink.. we ordered alcohol, we gave our ids to the waiter and she goes back to the manger to get our ids checked... comes back hands us our ids... manger comes back and wants to see our ids AGAIN.. they asked us for IDs 3 times!!! waiter had a smart ass remark "why are you guys so nervous for" I replied back saying we are litterally just ordering drinks what's the problem.. she walks away... manager comes up to us says "this is protocol" No it's not protocol, accusing us as underage and fake ids. I'm sorry but you need to have better employees who know what a real id looks like VS a fake one, I'm not even a waiter and I know what to look for in fake ids.. I get she wanted to be careful and I get that but the remarks were just flat out disrespectful. manager thought It was a joke and laughing, it wasn't funny at all. Never coming back read more

Although Applebees wouldn't be my first choice for dinner with my husband, it has proven to be a great choice for larger family gatherings. The staff is super friendly. Our favorite server, Jill, is amazing. She has many of our orders memorized and is quick on things like refills, sides, additions to meals, etc. She is also amazing with the elderly people in our family. She's the main reason we always come back! The food is just your average run-of-the mill chain food. It's good enough and palatable, but is not something I'd ever craved. It all kind of has the same bland, processed flavor. On the bright side, if something isn't right, the staff will quickly get it remedied. On an unrelated note, this place is always FREEZING. Whether it's during the summer or winter, definitely break a sweater! read more

Amazing service very personable and wonderful demeanor! However, the problem is the food and drink. First off the menu is not inclusive to Vegan people AT ALL! There is a handful of things I could eat there and I basically got them all. Chips and Salsa for the table, then two sides of Broccoli steamed and a side of fries. To wash it down I got a Margarita Mucho. Chips and Salsa was good, nothing out of the ordinary however had an old, or even frozen taste to the salsa. The Margarita was AWEFUL! It tasted like I was drinking apple cider vinegar with tequila. Broccoli was way over steamed and COVERED in salt! WAY WAY WAY too much salt! Fries tasted like they were made first then sat in the window until mine and the other plates at the table were cooked. Again absolutely covered in salt! Haven't been to an Applebee's since I graduated High School in 2012 and will NOT be back! read more
