    Bbq chicken pizza

What a cool place. My husband surprised me with a beautiful drive out to Applegate and perfect wood fired pizza! We wanted to try it all but settled on the BBQ chicken and margarita. Both had perfect crust and taste amazing. As a special treat for being our first time we were treated to the lemon cloud cup. I'm typically not a fan of lemon but I ended up buying a dozen to take home. Will definitely be back to try the bbq ribs and the other pizza they offer. And come summer they will be open even later. It's a win win.

What does this community stand for here ? I am curious on how it is so delightful. Why do you have vegetable pizza and dairy free cheese , and gluten free dough..? It's fantastic !

Okay, I really wanted to keep this unique pizza treasure a secret, but I will share. Cin I love, love your pizza, salads desserts and to top it all off the atmosphere is warm and accomodating. The pizzas are wood fired with unique and tantalizing ingredients that make your taste buds crave for more. We came in the 3rd week they open and will be faithful customers from now on. Please this is a must try, so take the beautiful drive towards the Applegate and take your palate to a tasting party

Nice stop with both indoor and outdoor seating in a yard with flower garden. Very relaxing setting with good food. Had the pears are falling pizza. Not only was it unique but delicious. It was perfectly cooked and the flavor was awesome.

My family keeps coming back because the food is genuinely great but we are stupid and retarded for putting our emotions on the line, every visit seems to turn into the same experience. We've waited 45 minutes or longer after being told our order was "almost ready," only to find out there was little to no communication between staff members about the status of our food. The biggest issue is honesty and communication. If the wait is going to be an hour, just say so. Instead, customers are repeatedly told their order is almost done when it clearly isn't, and that gets old fast. To-go orders are especially chaotic. Sometimes it feels like the order hasn't been started, other times it seems like it may have been given to someone else. You never really know what is happening because nobody can give a clear answer, and that's really frustrating as a customer. By the time you finally get your pizza, you're so frustrated that it's hard to enjoy it, even though the food is excellent. The kitchen makes great pizza, no doubt about it, but the front-of-house operations and management need serious improvement. My family keeps coming back and every time we look stupid af.

Worth seeking out!…read more Groundlings Pizza is the kind of place you stumble upon once and then tell everyone about. Tucked away on Jerry's Flat Road, it's truly a rare find. The artisanal pizzas are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients, and you can actually sit and watch them prepare everything right in front of you, which in my opinion, makes the food taste even better. The pizzas are interesting, thoughtfully crafted, flavorful, and clearly made with care. There's something special about seeing the process and knowing your food is being made fresh from start to finish. If you're looking for excellent pizza off the beaten path, Groundlings Pizza is absolutely worth the trip. A true hidden gem!

You need to order by the front and pay first The sausage calzone is not really my thing. Way too many unchopped garlic(like half of the content). I thought it would be pieces of round cut-sausage but it's more of ground meat with some kind of white sauce. It gets really heavy after a few bites. The pickled banana pepper isn't helping the heaviness either. But others seem to like it. The four cheese pizza is also pretty basic. I personally would not go back They also have some interesting gelato flavors selling inside.

Both really good and made in their stone oven. We also got the calmari for appetizers. Calamari cooked perfectly, not rubbery. Light batter, crispy, and seasoned really well that gave it great flavor. Others in the group ordered a clam chowder bread bowl, chicken Parmesan, fish & chips and shrimp & chips. The overall consensus was good. Casual atmosphere and perfect location. It's at the boardwalk near an arcade. During the day, there's also ice cream and coffee nearby. Couldn't get any pictures.

We came down to Brookings to take care of some business and decided to stop in for lunch and a drink afterwards. We weren't especially hungry so we ordered our usual favorites (clam chowder for me and steamer clams for the fellow) that combo usually helps us decide whether or not we want to return, without breaking the bank on a new spot. Our server was delightful, she was kind and attentive without being overbearing. Our order took a little longer than expected for what we ordered but we didn't mind, we had some nice blackberry cider they had on tap to tide us over. I was a little disappointed when our meals came out and I didn't get a slice of bread with my bowl of clam chowder like the fellow did with his steamers, but we were able to buy a half batard for $5 and that was perfect for us to split. It came out warm with a side of butter and complimented the chowder much nicer than the oyster crackers they originally brought out would have. In fact I recommend getting the bread if you order the chowder, it almost stole the show. The chowder was delicious, could've been warmer but still very tasty, the potatoes were cut super thin, and the clams were plump and tender and tasted fresh, they did add bacon but not in overwhelming amounts, and I thought it was spiced perfectly. I only added a few shakes of red pepper flakes to finish it. The fellow thought his steamer clams/mussels were marvelous, with a very flavorful broth, and he loved the fact that he was allowed to mix them. They made a good first impression on us, we will definitely be returning for dinner and ordering a couple of pizzas and perhaps a salad as well. Who knows, they may prove to be one of our new favorite spots.
