My family of 7 had lunch here today and it was a great experience. We were greeted & sat quickly. Service was excellent and food delicious. I definitely recommend it.

Kim was such an amazing server. Attention paid to everyone. We had the Combo pizza with bacon and it was excellent. Red Ale was great and so was the cider. Definitely a great place to grab a bite and relax.

Since the new ownership took over, this place is definitely not the same. We visited on a busy summer day, and the wait staff situation was horrible--there were only two people waiting tables for the entire place. Because they were so understaffed, our food sat around waiting to be delivered and came to the table cold. The wings were completely soggy and cold from sitting in the buffalo sauce, which was incredibly disappointing because the food itself actually tasted great. The wait staff seemed both completely overwhelmed and entirely careless. Interestingly, they had plenty of bus girls working, and honestly, those girls were more helpful than the servers. Management needs to get them trained to help wait tables quickly, because right now, the leadership is totally off. To make matters worse, the restroom was filthy. It was unclean to the point that we could actually smell the stench of urine while sitting at our table. The kitchen has potential, but management needs to fix the staffing, training, and cleanliness issues immediately.

Always a must on any trip to brookings. The pizza quality is top notch. One of my favorite pizzas anywhere in the US

Zola's is a must-stop every time I'm in Brookings, and they always deliver. The food is consistently great, and the service somehow manages to be even better. If you're sitting at the bar, Brian will absolutely take care of you friendly, attentive, and knows how to make the experience memorable without being overbearing. It's the kind of place that makes you feel like a regular, even if you're just passing through. Hands down one of the best spot in Brookings. Consistent, welcoming, and worth every visit.

Their service was top notch, the waiters were very attentive and friendly. The ambience was very relaxing and also friendly. Their food was delicious! All delicious plates that we are missing their menu right now. If you're in town or passing by definitely try their food.

Party of three and went in to celebrate a birthday. We ordered: 1 oyster shooter, 1 crispy oyster appetizer, 1 patty melt, 1 cheeseburger basket, and 1 fish & chips. She walked away and we had to call her back to order drinks. The oyster shooter came out quickly. It was huge! We also saw another guest with a whole crab. We then realized that there was a seasonal crab menu. Our server never told us about the special menu. I would have easily ordered the whole crab or seafood tower (I forget what it's called but it had scallops, crab, sirloin, etc.). Our meals came out, patty melt, cheeseburger, fish and chips, and crispy oyster appetizer. Wait...what? Why didn't the crispy oyster come out with the shooter? Oh...because our server gave us a meal instead of the appetizer since it had a pile of French fries with it and we were charged for it! Overall, the meals were good. Our daughter enjoyed her patty melt. My crispy oysters and fish and chips were OK, nothing to write home about. Also, the server did not ask how I wanted my fish and chips since the menu offers them deep fried or grilled. They came deep fried. Either way is fine with me but if there is an option, the server should know that and ask. After our meals, we ordered two slices of brown butter cake and instead were served two pieces of mile high chocolate cake. At this point, it was useless to complain to the unattentive server. Probably won't go back.

My wife ordered the Agedashi Tofu & Pork Gyozas and I had a couple of rolls, the spicy Rouge and a plain Jane salmon, avocado and cucumber roll. Everything was fantastic. The fish was super fresh, the tofu cooked perfectly and the gyoza sauce tangy and yummy. We only had a couple of small issues, more personal preferences really. 1 - my wife enjoyed the tofu, but the dish is described as having an agedashi broth but really it was more of a thicker style sauce smeared on the plate the tofu was placed on. It didn't really have a true broth. 2 - the habanero marmalade was not spicy. The roll was described as a spicy roll, but the marmalade was sweet. Unfortunately, the jalapeños were sweet as well. I know they can't control capsaicin in peppers, but that marmalade needs way more habanero. It would be WONDRFUL on toast though! Note: looking at their menu now they have updated this roll to replace the marmalade with a "tangy sesame". I look forward to trying this to see the difference. If you want a wonderful coastal option that isn't fish & chips, give Pacific Sushi a try.

He enjoyed the Redwood and Rogue rolls. Next time I *won't* order the Nature Nugget roll (which is listed with different ingredients on their website than their in-restaurant menu). It tasted like Lysol, presumably from the citrus ponzu? That was a tough swallow. I'd still return for that tofu, though. We were seated right away, arriving around 8pm on a Saturday night, with several other guests already seated. The lighting was low and decor was pleasing for a small town coastal sushi joint. The tomodachi was on point and our waitress was attentive and pleasant!

They make their own vodka and it's quite nice. Do yourself a favor and try any of the Superfly specials with it, they'll surprise you. They do have a food menu, but it's a martini bar first and restaurant second. The food was pretty decent, but the knife work, plating and ratios showed the experience behind the stove. I was pleasantly surprised when I was told I could order fish tacos even though it wasn't on the menu. I love a good grilled fish taco so I went for it. The fish was perfectly cooked and seasoned well, the green and orange sauces were good if a little too mild, and the tortillas were the right style but not grilled quite enough. Also, there was very little cilantro or onion and almost no cabbage so they weren't as filling as I would have liked. My wife had the Katsu Chicken Salad. It arrived plated like it was deconstructed: the katsu on a bed of lettuce greens with very thick slices of vegetables around around the plate and the dressing on the side. It was odd, clunky and the katsu was under seasoned. The peanut dressing was divine though, my wife said she could have drank that like milk. There are some other dishes I'd like to try and their drinks were fantastic so we'll definitely try them again.

I have never been WOWED by the service as the owner claims to do. Our server was polite but after being seated at 6:40pm and ordering drinks, apps, and entrees at 6:51pm, our appetizer came out at 7:10pm and by 7:43pm, we still hadn't gotten our meals. We had to cancel our order and the server (Holly F) was polite but patronizing and said she would "cancel and comp the meal". Comp is short for complimentary. All she did was not charge us for a meal we canceled. She also tried to justify that our entrees were put in only 28 minutes ago and it would be another 5-10 minutes. So we sat down at 6:40, ordered at 6:51, and our entrees weren't put in until 6:15, a full 19 minutes after we ordered??? She also gave an excuse that they only had two people cooking and the restaurant was busy. Not my problem. If she knew they were under staffed, she should have told customers that the kitchen is slow. Communication goes a long way. This is the first time I have ever canceled an order at a restaurant. I doubt I will go back. Very disappointed with the staff.
