Would definitely come back here! The pizza was delicious, the workers were so nice, and the location is perfect!

The drinks and beer were great and the pizza was better! Nice friendly place with a killer view of the Rogue. Nice outdoor patio area where dogs are allowed. We had the Smelly Nelly with mushrooms and 3 different cheeses. The crust was superb. Thin and charred on the bottom, with a nice "chew" that tasted like it had some sourdough in it. Oh and the bathrooms rock too! Gold Beach is darn lucky to have this gem.

Pizza done right! Massive wood fired oven and all the typical fair from your local pizza house! River view and a drink list to wet your whistle. Dont skip this spot when traveling through or staying in Gold Beach

Fantastic cheese pizza, sausage calzones and beer on tap! Atmosphere is nice and has good views of the river. Probably the best place to eat in Gold Beach right now so make sure to visit!

We really enjoyed our visit to the groundlings pizza place, real laid-back and relaxed with wonderful close up view of the Rogue river. So many interesting pizzas to choose from and you can watch them make it right there in front of you. Wonderful assortment of toppings available, definitely recommend. Everybody was very friendly and helpful and picking out the pizza for us. Also, they do have gluten-free pizza...

We got half smelly Nelly (AMAZING) and half pepperoni (also amazing) we had to do all red sauce to do this combo. It was still so so so good. We got a ride of ranch not expecting it to be the dill ranch and it was intense with the dill flavoring. They had a little live band playing tonight. Beautiful view of the river. Pizza crust was perfectly crispy and soft. Service was great! I can see why everyone rates this place so highly!!! I'd come back just for the pizza!

The Smelly Nelly, Arch Porter and Pale Ale were good. The pizza was delicious. The service was horrible. We were not greeted at the door and had to figure out to seat ourselves. The bartender obviously was very tired, busy, and /or had a major life event on her mind. The weight of the world appeared on her shoulders. No greeting with a smile when I looked at her and smiled. Arrived at 7:10 and saw that they close at 8:00. Not a good sign. Eventually another lovely server arrived. We never saw her again. It took over an hour to get our pizza. It was not overly busy and tables were clearing as they were closing. When the pizza arrived, we got a box to go as we wanted to catch the sunset. The pricing was decent. 12 oz beers $4. Pizza $23. Ranch dressing $2??? Wt? No mention on the menu that we'd be charged. A slight turn off given such poor service. The kitschy bathroom signs and photos were cute initially but then I just thought they were crass and dirty given our experience. And overall the place seemed a bit dirty and an off vibe. Very disappointed. It's rare that I give reviews like this especially from places reviewed highly. Just a bad night? I'll give them that and hope they can do better for others.

Both really good and made in their stone oven. We also got the calmari for appetizers. Calamari cooked perfectly, not rubbery. Light batter, crispy, and seasoned really well that gave it great flavor. Others in the group ordered a clam chowder bread bowl, chicken Parmesan, fish & chips and shrimp & chips. The overall consensus was good. Casual atmosphere and perfect location. It's at the boardwalk near an arcade. During the day, there's also ice cream and coffee nearby. Couldn't get any pictures.

We came down to Brookings to take care of some business and decided to stop in for lunch and a drink afterwards. We weren't especially hungry so we ordered our usual favorites (clam chowder for me and steamer clams for the fellow) that combo usually helps us decide whether or not we want to return, without breaking the bank on a new spot. Our server was delightful, she was kind and attentive without being overbearing. Our order took a little longer than expected for what we ordered but we didn't mind, we had some nice blackberry cider they had on tap to tide us over. I was a little disappointed when our meals came out and I didn't get a slice of bread with my bowl of clam chowder like the fellow did with his steamers, but we were able to buy a half batard for $5 and that was perfect for us to split. It came out warm with a side of butter and complimented the chowder much nicer than the oyster crackers they originally brought out would have. In fact I recommend getting the bread if you order the chowder, it almost stole the show. The chowder was delicious, could've been warmer but still very tasty, the potatoes were cut super thin, and the clams were plump and tender and tasted fresh, they did add bacon but not in overwhelming amounts, and I thought it was spiced perfectly. I only added a few shakes of red pepper flakes to finish it. The fellow thought his steamer clams/mussels were marvelous, with a very flavorful broth, and he loved the fact that he was allowed to mix them. They made a good first impression on us, we will definitely be returning for dinner and ordering a couple of pizzas and perhaps a salad as well. Who knows, they may prove to be one of our new favorite spots.

Even though they had a big display of beer tap handles....they seemed to have a very narrow selection of brews when we visited today. My bride ordered the "Fish and Chips" ($26) - which was grilled Cod. She was not partiularly pleased with her selection saying the fish was not flaky (but more chewy). I went with the Wasabi Fish Tacos ($24) - also grilled, and they were good. We thought the place seemed a little on the expensive side, but loved the vibe/atmosphere and would come back again!

This place had a wait when we arrived because they are short staffed (who isn't these days). The business is veteran owned and they were extremely kind and added us to the list knowing we will be seated around closing time. The tuna melt blew me away! If we are ever in the area, I will be returning for this! The fish and chips were light, flaky, crunch and delicious as well. A tiny more salt and this would be the ideal receipe! I throughly enjoyed the side salad as well. It had a hint of bitterness (in thinking from the finely chopped kale) and the vinegar made it so I didn't need to add the ranch dressing. It was perfect! I would skip the garlic fries. We sat outdoors on their cute patio type enclosure. It was a little chilly but we had our sweaters! Overall, great stop and I felt good supporting a local small business as well!
