Cannot say enough good things about Rob and Dane and their knowledge of appliances. My fridge stopped blowing any air and the freezer was working about half way. Called Appliance Repair and they were over in 15 minutes. The two them then proceeded to immediately diagnose the problem and told me in detail what they were going to do and what I could do going forward to avoid this from happening again in the future. Within the hour they had completely repaired the fridge and freezer and cleaned up so thoroughly that it was like they were never there. But they were, because my fridge is actually cold again! When it came time to pay I was even more smiles because they were beyond fair and didn't try to make me pay for something I didn't need. I would highly recommend Appliance Care for fixing your appliances. Rob and Dane came out and fixed my dryer when a metal piece from the drawstring on a pair of sweatpants got caught in a groove. For minimal cost they removed the drawstring, cleaned the dryer, made sure everything was working correctly, and did it all in about 20 minutes for a reasonable price. These guys are certainly "pay it forward" types of people. A subcontractor on a remodel we are doing screwed up some things which caused some problems with our refrigerator/freezer. I called these guys to see if they could come over to fix it. About two minutes into the conversation, they knew what the problem was, told me what to do to fix it on my own and told me to have a great day. They said it was an easy fix so no need to pay them for something I could do easily on my own. Best appliance repair experience we have ever had. This father and son team are great. They immediately responded to our request for service, showed up on time and communicated effectively throughout the process. Their expertise was evident as they quickly identified the problem with our refrigerator and thoroughly explained the actions they were taking to resolve it. It did require ordering a difficult part to acquire but they created a work around for our refrigerator to function until the part arrived after the weekend. They continued to communicate with us on the status of the part and once received immediately returned and completed the job. The cost of the repair was very reasonable and fair. BIG THANKS to Rob and Dane, for saving our Speed Queen dryer, which is only 8 years young! One day I was doing laundry and the dryer just quit. It went totally dead. My husband - who is very handy - tried his best to get it to work again. Speed Queens are the hardest working machines on the planet, so I was hopeful the dryer could be fixed. But it was tough! Finally, due to 5 star reviews, Rob and Dane of Appliance Care of San Clemente were summoned, and they came in less than 24 hours to the rescue. After a fairly intense examination and assessment, they determined we were in need of a starter switchboard, a part they didn't have on the truck; they had to order it. Sure enough, they were back the next day to install. But the dryer was still a dead carcass! They disassembled the assembly! They worked in tight spaces! They worked on it and worked on it; but the dryer would not be resuscitated. Rob and Dane tried every trick in the book - finally they took the whole machine apart in a desperate attempt to find the problem. Even my hubby got out there to try and help. IT GOT SO INTENSE! I didn't want to buy a new dryer! No one wants to do that! Speed Queen dryers are the workhorses that are in all the laundry mats!) THEY NEVER BREAK! That is why we bought this machine! Finally, Dane found a tiny bit of wire that was completely burned out - just passed the door switch! EUREKA!!! They repaired that tiny piece, and the dryer came back to life! Then they put all the pieces back together again! Reasonable prices to boot! What I'm trying to say is Rob and Dane are hard working, honest men who really throw all their expertise at your problems, and they stick with it until a solution is found! Dane and Father are a great team. I used them a few years ago when I was living in Capo Beach, they were super honest and fixed my dryer with no issues. I had to call them back last week for a failing refrigerator. They suspected it was a broken relay, though it was also possibly the compressor. They installed the relay, but no luck, seems like the compressor was completely shot. It wasn't worth replacing the compressor. They came back the next day to remove the new part and didn't even want to charge me their regular fee for just coming out. I felt like I had to do something, so sent him some cash to have lunch out on us. As everyone has said, this father-son duo is great! They are kind, honest and so knowledgeable. We called them to fix our 20+ year old washing machine. On the phone, they suggested a couple of easy fixes in case it would save us the expense of a visit. When those didn't work, they came the next day and were total experts disassembling and reassembling the machine despite its age. I'm surprised there aren't any other reviews on here for Rob! I called 3 companies yesterday when I discovered that my washing machine wasn't spinning. Two others had a minimum charge that I'd have to pay ($68 for one and $89 for the other), even if it was a small fix or if it was going to be such an expensive fix that I'd want to just buy a new machine. I tried Appliance Care and asked if they could give me a possible phone estimate and they did! They asked what model it was and what was the problem and then they said it sounds like the "motor coupler" (not sure of spelling) and that it would be a $100 fix. (The $89 company told me washing machine spin issues usually run between $150 and $250.) Rob showed up with his son who is learning the trade, and they were kind and professional. I am adding this company to my address book, and I will recommend them to everyone I know in the area. read more
