When I told her that I will look for an unopened one, she told me that I have to buy it somewhere else, with an attitude. Who would know if the batteries are still good? She said that customers opened it to see if it will fit, what? She said, just like what you did! Wtf! I only have to open the battery cover of my garage door opener to see it, the number. One thing, don't blame the customers. She must be new, I go to Sears a lot, it is my first time seeing her there. I bought stuffs from there, if I think the price is reasonably good. I wish I got her name, Lola and Al wouldn't be happy at all. Next time I go there I will ask for her name. My daughter said not only did they not speak English (or pretended not to understand), they rushed through the delivery and set up just to hurry and get the hell out of here. I work nights and laundry sometimes gets done after I get home. Imagine my surprise when at 2am the smoke alarm goes off!!! I pulled the dryer from the wall and the hose wasn't connected! My daughter also complained of a gas smell when drying a load. The delivery company, based in the Inland Empire from what I learned, only comes to Lompoc on Thursdays! They would not send someone up here to check on it 'because I was too far away'. I finally got fed up and called Craig. He came out the same day and charged a reasonable service call fee, turns out the gas connection was not done properly, and it was missing a hose clamp-thus the hose coming off! Still shaking my head and will never again order from nor have anything delivered from THAT store!!!

When the technician arrived, he attempted to remove the freezer door and drawer to inspect the back panel inside the freezer for ice buildup. The process took a long time and involved a lot of pulling, prying, and loud banging, which made me feel that he was not very familiar with this specific model. Eventually, his colleague suggested adjusting the internal rollers, and after sliding them forward, the drawer came out easily. They then poured hot water on the rear panel and used a dryer to melt the ice. After this temporary fix, I was charged $179 for the visit. I was informed that they do not currently have the replacement thermostat and that they will return once the part arrives -- at which point I will need to pay again for the repair. I feel this is unfair, as I have already paid $179 and my refrigerator is still not functioning properly (40F)I was expecting either a permanent solution or clearer communication regarding the total cost of repair from the beginning. I hope the company will consider improving transparency and ensuring customers are not charged multiple times for a single unresolved issue.

Hadn't realized that they'd expanded, added in vintage dealer spaces, and moved to a new place. Luckily, I found them online and realized that they had a new location. Dear Hubby and I had been staying in nearby Santa Maria and decided to drop in on our way south. It was worth the trip. I like that they have such a great variety of merchandise. The main front room is mostly spaces for local crafters / artisans with new or newer goods. Moving toward the back and side rooms, there are many booths for dealers with vintage / antique items. It's a browsers paradise! Couldn't resist picking up a sparkly pair of earrings, a "Farmhouse"-logo pillow, and some small succulents for a great price. Most everything seems fairly priced, actually. The woman minding the store (owner, perhaps?) was very friendly and helpful as we rounded up our purchases. I did ask about Mike's Birdhouses, which was one of the reasons that we'd stopped by. We'd previously purchased several of his charming rustic creations and were looking for more. Mike also operates a shop with model train supplies, but is only open a couple of days mid-week. The woman told us that she's reached out to him a number of times about him bringing in some of his birdhouses, but he hasn't made it happen yet. Still, it was enjoyable to see the different displays of goods. A lot of emphasis on Valentine's Day, which is coming soon. I'm sure they'll dive headfirst into Spring/Easter soon thereafter. Definitely worth a visit when you're in the area.
