I simply don't have the spare 30 minutes a day to wash dishes. For better or worse, this happened late on a Friday night. In the past I used Sears so my knee-jerk reaction was to book with them but the soonest they could come was on Monday. So I took a long shot and submitted some requests thru Yelp. Tim replied within minutes and agreed to come as soon as the next day. Mind you this was 8:30 p.m. on a Friday. We're talking about coming on a Saturday, less than 24 hours later. And he quoted me half of what Sears was quoting me. Tim showed up on time (In fact even earlier, after confirming with me). Strangely, the issue had resolved by itself overnight and the dishwasher seemed to be working. Nevertheless, Tim took his time to thoroughly disassemble it and inspect every component (Here, I imagine someone from Sears would have just left immediately). Everything seemed to work fine so likely it was the control board. He diligently put everything back and gave me some tips on dealing with this going forward. He was also very polite and considerate (he kindly put on booties after coming in). I'm definitely hitting him up next time an appliance breaks.

After discussing with my wife, we agreed to get the washer repaired. He had the part with him and got to work to replace the part. In addition to making the repair well, he spent time to check that the washer worked after replacing the part and that it did not leak before closing the washer up. He then moved back the washer in place even though I am the one who moved the washer in the first place. He gave me a 1-year warranty on the repair as he used a genuine LG part.
