Jerry was quick in his response time. Our dishwasher stop working on us and it was less than two years old. He tried his best to fix it but sadly we found out it was damaged during the renovation of our kitchen. He was happy to advocate to our insurance company in regards of it not being our financial responsibility. The construction company ended up buying us a new dishwasher and tried to have their people come for the install. We said no way and asked Jerry to come out for the install. I was totally stranded by flat tires on my pickup & dead batteries on pickup & jeep. I had to be plowed out as well. Many things needed attention before I could come @ go, Ken, came to the rescue a couple of times. I really do appreciate everything he has done for me, He also noted that my pickup tires were in very poor condition & with the winter weather, I should go check them immediately. The best! I have been using them for the last few years (after trying several others). They are honest, professional, helpful, and reliable. They have fixed my fridge, dishwasher, and washing machine. I also called about an over-the-range microwave and, after doing a little telephone diagnosis, they explained that the part in question was expensive and the fix would probably cost as much as a new microwave. My clothes dryer wasn't heating up. I called the person who usually fixes my appliances and they were three weeks out on appointments. I checked yelp and saw one 5 star review for Ben Lomond Appliance Repair. That's better than one 1 star review so I gave them a call to see if they serviced my area (I'm about 20 miles north of where they are). Jerry answered promptly and to my delight he said he would be here the NEXT day. Jerry showed up when he said he would. Diagnosed the problem and gave he a quote. He said the part (motor) had to be ordered but should be here by Monday. He did a temporary fix so I could get some laundry done. He again showed up when he said he would even with a snow storm in the morning. Put in the new motor and the dryer is good as new. I now have an appliance repair person to rely on. My refrigerator died in the evening and I didn't notice it until morning when I called several repair companies. Jerry at Ben Lomond responded quickly and told me things to try to see if it was something minor that I could fix myself. He came out quickly and assessed it and finally had to determine it had a dead compressor. We have had some unreliable appliance repairs over the past 3 years so I was a bit anxious about calling a new appliance location. Well, meeting Jerry from Ben Lomond Appliance was possibly the best interaction we have experienced. definitely since the pandemic took over our lives and very few places want to answer the phones "due to COVID-19 " sigh. Anyway, our dryer went out so I called to leave a message. He called back within a short time and set up an appointment quickly. He came out, quickly assessed that the dryer was repairable but likely would cost more than just getting a new one. He said he could get the parts but if it was his dryer he would just replace it. Closed it up and gave a quick goodbye, told me to call if we had any other questions. He was pleasant and professional so unlike our previous experiences. I just called Ben Lomond Appliance Repair after my washing machine abruptly stopped working. I explained what it was doing and was then, so kindly walked through on the phone, a couple of things to try to see if it would resolve the problem. The gentleman, (didn't get his name) spent 5-10 minutes on the phone with me trying to help me resolve it on my own first, which it did! I was SO happy and relieved. I am considerably impressed that a business would be willing to take time to suggest steps I could take to resolve it, without just immediately wanting to come on a service call. I realize not ever repair can be so easily resolved, but just the fact that he would try to help me over the phone first, rather than automatically scheduling a service call with a fee, of course, was very impressive to me.
