EXCELLENT! Here is my exact experience: 1. Appliance Express Repair called me the next day for the AHS repair of my washer just as was supposed to happen. 2. They showed up exactly when they said he would be here, which was just a short time from when they contacted me for scheduling which means I got next day service! Filed the claim on a Monday night and by mid-day Tuesday, they were at my house. 3. Appliance Express Repair was prepared. They had all the tools, a lot of parts just in case the job was a simple fix, and understood the job before they got there. I am an engineer and looking at how these folks are prepared is a sign of how good the repair will be often times. 4. Within 15 minutes, the washer was fixed. It was a faulty lid switch which is pretty common on washers. Apparently the spring had broken. Appliance Express Repair replaced it and BOOM! draining washer again. Bottom line is: I could have spent the time and fixed this myself, but not in 15 minutes, and not with the precision, quality and expertise of Appliance Express Repair. Guy came over and was very rude. He did nothing. I had an issue with the microwave and the oven. He didn't even open anything up. I am having the same issues 3 days later. Wasted my day as I had to take time off work. The guy who came out I assume is the owner and he is knowledgeable and lazy! This business was supposed to diagnose my washer and dryer. They gave me a timeframe of 4:30pm-6:00pm on a Wednesday. The individual showed up a couple minutes prior to 4:30pm and contacted me stating he arrived (I was 5 minutes away when he called). 5 minutes goes by and I get home and the individual left. Literally, a whole 5 minutes passed by and he left. After calling him to comeback, he refused and stated, "You took longer than 5 minutes." WHAT?!?! I took work off early, sat in traffic, and told the individual I was 5 minutes away from arrival. Rude, unprofessional, unreliable, and utterly ridiculous. Contacted Appliance Express Repair for my kitchenaid as they were the closest authorized repairers. I found their service after requesting for a call back was very slow and had to keep trying . Just make sure to call them back after the approximate time to collect your appliance if you dont hear frim them My broken machine is perfect now as if and so far havnt had any issues. Original kitchenaid parts were used and a receipt with work done is completed when you pick up . Glad to have them nearby. Highly recommend. 4 stars as calls at the time of service request and after the 2 week notice to check on appliance with quote and approval to complete and call after work done wasnt satisfactory. My Electrolux dishwasher was leaking water under the door. AHS assigned Appliance Express Repair and their response was quick. Leon, the repairperson, had no problems to figure out what was causing the "leaks". Tuns out that all the door seals including the tub's corner seals needed to be replaced. His process of a series of tests in the drip areas determined which seals were damaged mostly from prolonged usage. Once all the work was done, the unit was back to normal operation. I needed an urgent repair for my old Maytag refrigerator because my wife complained that she can't survive without it.... I contacted Sears, but was told the technician not available until ONE week later ! ...... So i immediately checked Yelp and found this store. Leo, the owner, just came to my house in 2.5 hrs after I called him. 1 hour later, he fixed my refrigerator. To my surprise, it seemed he has everything in his car. Even I didn't tell him what brand is my refrigerator, but he still have the right parts in his car. Amazing ! Honestly, I'd like to say the final charge is not cheap. I honestly don't know how this company got such high reviews from others. I've had 2 separately dealings with them so far, and both left me extremely unhappy. In the first case, it was a washer. My home warranty company, American Home Shield (AHS), assigned the case to them. They came out, determined that the washer needed a new control board, which they had to order. They told me that it will take 7-10 business days for the part to arrive. I waited 2 weeks and no updates, so I tried to call them to check on the status. It was impossible to reach them via phone because they don't pick up their phones, and they don't call back. After 3 days of constantly calling them and leaving messages, AHS informed me that they requested the case to be transferred to someone else. However, since they never ordered the part, the new technician have to do the order and that's another 2 weeks of waiting. I have been without a washer for more than 4 weeks now, all thanks to the unprofessionalism of this company. The second case was the oven. Earlier this week my oven had gas smell. PG&E came out and determined that one of the gas burner had a bad igniter, and disconnected the gas connection to the stove/oven. They left notes on what they did so that the technician can reconnect the line back after they fixed the appliance. Unfortunately for me, AHS assigned my case to Appliance Express Repair, again. Again it was impossible to contact them on the phone, even thought they left me message to call them to make an appointment. After 2 days, I finally got the appointment made (had to essentially put aside everything to make waiting and answering their call the highest priority) and they came in and replaced the igniter. However, they refused to reconnect the gas pipe because it requires them to slide the oven out to reach the line in the back (it's a free standing floor model, not built in). The PG&E person did it with no problem, but apparently it's too much for Appliance Express Repair. So now I have no choice but to ask PG&E back to do this. Unfortunately, since this is no longer a gas leak situation, I have to wait in the standard queue, which is more than a week away. So now I am stuck with no stove and no oven for 2 weeks. Even PG&E was surprised that they refused to connect the appliance. Not only would I never voluntarily use this company's service, because American Home Shield keeps assigning my case to them, I am likely going to cancel my AHS contract, also. That's how bad Appliance Express Repair is. ADDITIONAL INFO (8/24/2017) - Found out today that the reason the first case was transferred was because "to fix the problem, the washer needs to be pulled out, which takes more than 1 person". I can't even begin to express how lame that excuse is. I guess technicians in this company simply cannot perform fixes that requires moving the appliance. Since most appliances are slotted against walls, I guess they won't be fixing too many appliances. read more

I can't say if they are good with repairing since i can't seem to get them to call back so that i can get my wash machine fixed or replaced. AHS assigned them over a week ago, but I never got a call from Appliance Express, then my case got closed and I had to open another - they assigned Appliance Express again. After a couple days Appliance Repair finally called me back, spent about 5 minutes or less here and said my wash machine needed a new transmission but the expense of this older machine would not be worth it so he would recommend a replacement with AHS. It has been a week since then and even after I called them and AHS called them to file the case paperwork to keep this moving - still nothing. So it will soon be two weeks without a wash machine. When I bought my home in 2006 the realtor gave me a home warranty as a thank you. My oven broke within weeks. The warranty company used Appliance Express Repair. They came the next day, and made the repair in minutes. They were quick, efficient and friendly. Months later the dishwasher basin began leaking, again the warranty company sent out Appliance Express Repair. They looked at the problem and informed the warranty company I need a new dishwasher. I got a new dishwasher. Again they were outstanding. My home warranty expired. So when my 5 year old washing machine started making an odd noise I called Appliance Express Repair. A tech came onsite the same day, diagnosed the problem and had a refurb'd part on his truck. That part unfortunately failed after a week. They came back the next day put in a new part - only charging me the difference in cost between the old and new part and nothing for the follow up visit. I have and continue to be impressed by these folks. I believe its a one or two person shop. I have been very satisfied with thier work, expertise and speed. read more

I got an opportunity to get some of my appliances fixed by these folks through my Home Insurance Company (Fidelity National Warranty). Their knowledge, professionalism, and committment to the quality is unparallel in the kind of business they operate. For the same repair, I had some horrible experience with other repair companies who came and blamed everything on the appliance (I know it is ridiculous). On the other hand, these folks came, scientifically analysed/debugged the problem and fixed them. I was even more impressed when the owner called me to follow -up on an item that was planned for later. These folks are educated, trained, professional and pleasure to work with. Took them 3 months to 'repair' a delonghi espresso maker. It actually took them over a month to even get to work on my machine even though they told me it would take 2 weeks. The really bad part is their customer service - which can be quite arrogant/rude at times - and that's when you are able to actually get them on the phone (forget about trying to get an update over the phone - and don't bother leaving any call back messages). When I eventually picked up the machine, I asked what they had done. Amazingly, the guy told me he couldn't find anything wrong but went ahead and changed out the main valve. Seems like they'd rather invent repairs than to the decent thing. The result after waiting 3 months? No difference - still has the problem (an espresso maker is NOT a complicated machine people!). So I'll be contacting DeLonghi about their pathetic 'service centers'. So if your into self abuse - go ahead, make your day and leave something for repair with them! read more

Efficient but a bit pricy! We called Friday evening and got an appointment for Monday morning. The repairman came promptly in the given time window and quickly identified the problem (it was one of the very common ones, I had identified it using internet) and fixed it within an hour. I checked the price of the part being replaced on internet to make sure that there was not a huge difference (I have seen this happen before). The labor cost however was a bit more than I had expected. The repairman called in next day to make sure that the stove was working fine - very pleasant surprise! Overall - satisfied! read more

I was having trouble with my Maytag washer. Another repair person came 4 times and could not fix. My problem of washed clothes remained soaking wet remained. Our ice maker stopped working in our fridge after 2 years. We have a 4 year service with GE so we called them up. They faxed over our information to Appliance Express Repair and told us to give them a call to set up an appointment. We called on Monday and left a message. No return call. We called on Tuesday and left a message. Again. No return call. We waited a day, called on Thursday. No return call. Finally on Friday we called GE again and they gave us a new place to call. Gas flow gradually declined on burners of our 12 year old gas range to point some burners would not light. Appliance Express Repair had fixed a manufacturing defect on this stove when it was new, so we called them again. Serviceman arrived on time and fixed and cleaned all the burners in about 20 minutes. I have a washing machine that had developed a leak, and a slight rattle/noise problem with my dryer. I called and made an appointment with Appliance Express. (This was over the July 4th 3-day holiday weekend, so I wasn't assuming that I would hear back until the beginning of the work week, Tuesday. By then, the leak had stopped so there was no immediate emergency.) On Tuesday, I heard early on from Leon at Appliance Express about setting up an appointment. He said that he could come out to my home on that day, but I was not able to be home for an appointment on that day (Tuesday), so we set up an appointment for Wednesday afternoon. Today (Wednesday), Leon came out on time. He was very professional. He set about testing the washing machine, and very shortly he discovered the problem and set about fixing it. Overall, he did the work in a highly professional manner, left everything in great shape when he had finished, and he answered any and all questions that I asked him about the washer and dryer. (The dryer is no longer making the rattling noise, and he agreed that he will return if the dryer noise returns.) All in all, I felt very satisfied and happy with the experience of having Leon from Appliance Express come out and do the repair work on my washing machine. Nice job! Thank you! read more
