I felt taken advantage of due to my lack of technical knowledge about appliance repairs. The first call was at my mother-in-law's house, where Eli diagnosed a broken compressor in her refrigerator that had stopped cooling. He did a great job working with my mother-in-law whose first language is not English. She was very happy. A few days later, he came to our house after some interior lights stopped working following a deep cleaning. He fixed the lights, then went well beyond that. Our freezer door hinge wiring harness had snapped nearly every wire inside, which had also taken out the ice maker. I'd honestly written the ice maker off after a few failed attempts to repair it myself, but Eli came in and showed it could absolutely be fixed, and done right. He patiently soldered and extended close to ten broken wires, heat-sealing and re-sheathing each one so the same failure wouldn't happen again. His fix also cost much less than replacing the whole door which was what I thought was going to have to be done. Finally, when we noticed water pooling under the refrigerator a few days later, Eli came back and dug into the back of the unit to clear a clogged compressor drain. He cleaned everything out in the process and helped put everything back together perfectly. It's more than just his expertise that I appreciated. Eli is friendly, honest, easy to work with, and a just a nice guy. He also took the time to engage with our three-and-a-half-year-old son, who was glued to every step of the repairs at our house, and made him feel like part of the project. Ever since, our son has been busy "fixing" everything in the house with his own toy tools. I'm really happy to have found Eli and SmartFix. He's the first person I'll be calling for any future appliance work at our home. Thank you, Eli!

He tested the most likely culprits and concluded it was the circulating pump. He tried to save us some money by removing the gunk that had built up, hoping that would solve the problem. But no, the unit had to be replaced. Tom returned at 2 PM the following day and quickly made the repair. He hung around listening to the dishwasher going through the cycle to ensure it was operating properly. We had a great experience with Clunch Appliance Repair when my GE Monogram microwave stopped working. We found them online and was impressed that they could send someone out the same afternoon we called. Matt, their technician, was fantastic. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a worn out door switch and explained exactly what needed to be done. He replaced both the switch and fuse, then reinstalled the microwave properly. The whole repair took about an hour, and Matt was respectful of my home while working efficiently. The pricing was very reasonable. My Samsung refrigeration stopped cooling and I got in touch with Matt from Clunch Appliance repair. He was very quick to respond and asked me what the problem was. Asked to check few things and tried to evaluate problem and it's cost. I scheduled his visit and he saw refrigerator and found the problem very quickly. I had Clunch Appliance Repair fix my dryer on 9-15-2023. I meant to write this review a while back, so I am finally writing this review with a bit of delay. Matt replaced the pulley ball bearing which was causing the dryer to make a a really loud noise. He explained the problem to me in a way I understood. i had a problem with my whirpool cabrio dryer. it was not starting at all. I was searching nearby local service provider to come and fix it. I had a wine refrigerator that stopped getting cool. Most appliance repair services will not touch a wine refrigerator, but Matt from Clunch came and took a look at it. Wine coolers appear to be made to be disposable because here's no refrigerant recharge port. Matt was able to drill a refrigerant recharge port and recharge my wine cooler. It's now cooling and he saved me from having to buy a new one for at least a little while longer. I would definitely recommend this business. read more
