The spring on my microwave door broke. I called Ace and they were out the next day. The repairman changed the spring and said he thought they had some bad springs. There was no charge. While he was there I told him about a problem with my washing machine. He looked at it and did a couple of things. Again no charge. I was very surprised and impressed. After almost 3 years my same dishwasher that was serviced by ACE had a minor issue. I contacted Valerie over the weekend and she got me an appointment first thing Monday morning. Tom promptly showed up, detected a stuck object in the drain that caused the blockage. He fixed and tested the DW unit. On the way out, Tom also had a quick look at my Thermador cooktop and provided few tips. With a basic house visit fee charged our DW was up and running again. Many service providers these days ask you for a Yelp or Google review. I never see that from ACE. I initially called Ace Appliance as I'd used their services many years back and was totally satisfied. When I reached "Valerie" I told her I had an Old G.E. large capacity gas dryer from 1980, that quit turning last week. Last time the drum stopped turning it required a new belt, (approx. 5 yrs. ago) and I used a different company (M&R Appliance) who used a "Generic" belt, although it was the right part number, but it just stretched and no longer turned the drum. Tom showed me the loose belt and then told me the belt that was just ordered turned out to be wrong due to internet information being wrong. I consider myself very lucky that he happened to have a real Maytag brand belt, which was the correct belt, compatible with my G.E., in his truck. Felt like a miracle; especially since my drum is so large. Tom is phenomenal, he explained so many things, showing me the old belt and told me my dryer is still a very good dryer and the motor works fine as well as other parts. Not only did he fix it, but he took time to explain things that were important to know. Do not hesitate or check other companies if you are seeking a reputable company with competency, honesty and ethics and affordability! Since my repair was done in under an hour, I am truly impressed! I have had some bad experiences with appliance repair, so I am always reluctant. Our microwave started tripping the circuit breaker. It is an over-the-range unit so getting a professional by makes more sense than just buying a new one. (Plus I hate the idea of throwing out appliances ...) I never got his name, but the gentleman showed up, explained the problem, replaced a door switch, explained that all microwaves these days are made of cheap stuff that fails frequently, but hopefully the new switch buys us a few more years. Just under $200 and around half an hour to hopefully extend the service life of our 4yo $400 microwave by a few more years. I'll definitely be calling them for the next problem. :) read more

Our microwave stopped working with a "door" error message. The error message went away, but the microwave still didn't work. I called Ace on Wednesday afternoon; Valerie said they could be here on Friday and called back Thursday afternoon to confirm the time. Tom was here on time, disassembled the microwave, found the problem (a fuse, not the door!), fixed it, and reassembled everything - total time, a little over 20 minutes including explaining things to me. $40 for labor, $4 for the fuse, and $110 for the service call and I have a working microwave again. Called Ace Appliance Service because of a problem with our refrigerator's water dispenser and ice-maker. It was very easy scheduling an appointment with Valerie; in fact, she called back to move up our appointment when they had a schedule opening, which we were happy to accommodate. Tom arrived on time and quickly diagnosed the failure. He didn't have the part with him, but picked it up and returned the next morning, arriving as scheduled, and replaced the faulty part. I have found my new favorite appliance servicing business!! Valerie always picked up my calls promptly and didn't try to jerk me around about pricing or timing. When she said she'd double check the pricing and call me back shortly, she ACTUALLY called me back unlike SO many other businesses that just leave you hanging. 10 points to Valerie! And I don't mean to put the pressure on Tom but you guys, he left my dishwasher and kitchen looking better than when he arrived! While he was realigning the dishwasher feet and the whole thing itself, he pointed out that the previous floor installers had incorrectly propped up my dishwasher with a piece of wood. So Tom went and adjusted the dishwasher so that it would stand up on it's own feet instead! Then he also adjusted it so that the dishwasher sat flush with my cabinets instead of sticking out like it had been before. A+ The initial consultation was delayed by a full week due to their full schedule. But the service I received from Tom was top notch and thus I've gotta give Ace Appliance Repair an A+. I have a 2007 model year Bosch dishwasher that recently shut down during the beginning of the wash cycle. Long story short, it turns out the motor was faulty (it was supposed to operate on 2 different speeds but one of the speeds wasn't working) and this caused the wash cycle to shut off way too early. It took a few tries but dishwasher repairman extraordinaire Tom was able to figure out which part was broken. After he ordered a new motor, he came back and installed it and now I have a perfectly functioning 14 year old dishwasher! It's impossible to order a new Bosch dishwasher right now due to supply issues so we are extremely grateful that he was able to fix our older one. read more

Oh my goodness, I cannot be happier than this! My GE Monogram gas cook top broke down, so I called Ace Appliance to come rescue me. Tom was able to come to my house on the same day, then I had him looked at some other appliances that had issues (not as urgent as the cook top, but I thought since he was there, why not?) He replaced light bulbs for my GE Profile oven, checked the cook top & the circuit, then checked my Electrolux washer for a low water problem. He found the potential problems for the cook top & the washer, but he had to order those parts. He gave me an estimate of the parts & labor on fixing these items, then he left without charging me anything for the 1st visit. 2 days later, he came back with the potential parts needed for fixing the cook top & washer. His diagnosis was correct. Cook top fixed, and washer fixed, too!! He even helped me tightened the loose handle on my GE Monogram dishwasher for free!! Tom was honest, punctual, professional, and charged me with reasonable price. I would recommend Ace Appliance to all my friends & family! My husband found him on Yelp because of the good reviews.
