I first called these guys around 2013 based on a recommendation of a co-worker. My Washing Machine was leaking water. Manton came out, looked it over thoroughly and the repairmen from Manton said he could not find anything wrong with it. I was annoyed, however what I took away from the experience is that Manton did not try to "fix" something that wasn't broken. The repairman spent an hour looking over my appliance and did not try to upsell, rip me off, or persuade me into something I did not need. Newsflash people! People of this stature are hard to come by in this day and age. Fast forward to February of 2019, and the drive belt for the clothing drum on our Kenmore dryer snapped. Called Manton again based on my first experience. The repairman rebuilt the drive belt, pulleys and other essential parts and the dryer is quiet and efficient as when new. Plus he gave me pointers as to why my particular brand of appliance was worth keeping as opposed to buying a more expensive front end loader. Once again, outstanding service and honestly. I have passed on several recommendations for this company. One thing I feel I must comment on is those complaining about the 85 dollar service charge. The fine employees of Manton have families who draw salaries, service trucks, benefits, utilities, maintenance costs of equipment, insurance and so on. This is a business, not a charity. If you wish to complain about Manton, than call a crack head to fix your appliance. The service charge is rolled into the overall cost of the repair, not any additional above and beyond charge. I am completely satisfied with their service. I called on Monday to make an appointment to have my refrigerator repaired. It had stopped getting cold and was starting to drip water. They came out the next day. We were their first stop. They called to confirm the appointment Monday night and they called to give us an ETA on when they would arrive that morning. They came a little after 9 and got straight to work. My father let them in and I told him to call me if there was any problems. I called him around 10:45 and he said they were done and he was putting the stuff back in the fridge. I gave my dad a set price with a certain percentage to go over for the repairs and they were right on the money with the cost. He said the fridge is running like new and they explained to him everything that was going on with the fridge before they repaired it. I will definitely be using them again in future. Manton Appliance repair to the rescue AGAIN! My GE Profile refrigerator was not working properly. The refrigerator temperature had gone up to 57 degrees overnight ( freezer was at 2). Mr.Manton was kind enough to squeeze in a visit late Friday ( same day I called). Food was moved to safe storage, and I had looked at refrigerators that would fight the space. Yet, I trusted Mr Manton to give me an honest, well thought out diagnosis ( fixable or not), rather than order a new refrigerator. The refrigerator needed a new fan motor ( which Manto happened to have in the truck - lucky me)! So rather than paying over $2,000 for a replacement ( not to mention the hassle and 2-3 week wait), it cost a small fraction to repair. I called and left a message about my washing machine problem and they came out the next morning to look at it. Before they came I had already done a bit of research as to what the problem could be. When they came in I asked if they had any ideas what the symptoms and error codes could mean and they didn't want to guess so to work they went troubleshooting the problem. When they came back up they told me what the problem was and it was the very same thing that I had researched already. Sorry guys but a woman has to protect herself from men who think that they can get over on the clueless woman who isn't so clueless. I have been using Manton Appliance for several years and have been impressed each time by their excellent service and honest approach to business. Their prices are reasonable and you know up-front what the work will cost. I have had them repair two different refrigerator/freezers, an ice machine, a dryer, an electric range and a gas oven. I recommend this company with great enthusiasm. Decent, hard-working people who are responsive and professional. The father and son are friendly and courteous. I feel very comfortable having them in my home. These guys are terrific. Imagine if Bill Nye was not a science guy, but an appliance guy. They have like 200 years of experience(estimating), were very prompt, and provide friendly, excellent communication. I had an issue with my oven not heating up; did some good 'ol fashioned googling and pretty much diagnosed the issue. Now, the wife has seen me do some pretty righteous home repairs, but she wasn't about to let me attempt something that is literally explosive. No, the only thing fire I'm associated with is my jumpshot and my yelp reviews. I called Manton Appliance Service I have used their services in the past and now my washing machine was stuck in wash mode. It was late in the day and still I received a return call from Jim and scheduled an appointment the next morning. Jim & Tim arrived on time and quickly diagnosed a faulty water level switch. They were able to free the stuck switch so I could use the washer and ordered a new replacement. The switch was replaced and my washer now works like new. Outstanding fast & clean service at a price I considered very reasonable. They stayed and tested the cycles to insure it was working properly. I recommend them, you won't be disappointed read more

I called Manton at 4:35pm on a Friday and was surprised that they offered to come out to my house the very next day in the early afternoon. Tim was professional, diagnosed my washing machine issue quickly, ordered the part and offered to be back out Monday (wow !). I was busy Monday but rescheduled for Wednesday between 9-12pm. My 15-year old gas dryer started to sound like it just reached the end of its life cycle. Just about ready to order a new one, I decided to try one last time to see if it is fixable. After reading positive reviews online, I am so glad that I called Manton. Father and son business and I believe mom answers the phones. Made an appointment and they showed up right on time. Courteous, friendly and obviously know exactly what they are doing. I self diagnosed the problem with my oven. Since it's gas, I wanted a professional to confirm what I knew. Unfortunately Jim couldn't diagnose the problem but recommended us to another company Appliance Geni. Used Manton years ago to repair a washer. Called today because my gas dryer would not work. Left my cell phone number on the message but it got garbled somehow. Jim heard my name, looked up his old records, found my home number and called back promptly. Sweet. We received great, timely service at a reasonable price when using Manton for a refrigerator repair at our tenant's house. They diagnosed the problem quickly, ordered the part and came out first thing Monday to install. All the gentleman we dealt with were pleasant and professional with both tenants and landlord. We used Manton because we had a washer that was not working at our place and a dryer that was not working at our tenant's place. We called them up and they were able to come out the very next day. Jim and Tim came to our place first and looked at our washer, then met us at our tenant's house to look at their dryer. Manton is a family business with a father and son team. They called me back right away and could come the next day. When I called early in the morning asking if they could make it sooner because I had to pick up my kid from school early, they made it happen. This is an overall amazing company and I can not say enough good things about them! They really came to my rescue after a well known appliance retailer (rhythms w/ DEARS) failed to show up and repair my washer. I also tried several local vendors but none of them called me back. I needed to get my stove repaired.The oven stopped working. I didn't know whom to call so i went online and found Manton Appliance Service. After calling him I had a hopeful feeling they would be good and honest. And they were . They arrived within the time they told me and it was important to me as i took off work to meet them.
