I absolutely hate leaving bad reviews, BUT I feel this is warranted so that potential customers understand what could happen. I called this company out in December 27th to "diagnose" my refrigerator. I gave them their error code and we were experiencing temperature control issues. After an onsite diagnostic check, that cost $125.00, Tony determined we needed a new control board. The quote $480.00 and one week or two for delivery. We were not able to afford it at that moment and told the repair technician we'd have to wait a week or two. As soon as the technician left, we realized the fridge was not working at all - not cooling, not distributing air ... nothing but lights. The operator who answered the phone and "whoever" was answering the text message claimed the technician only "diagnosed" and didn't touch anything. If this was true, why suddenly did the fridge functionality change? Nonetheless, the technician answering by text instructed us to unplug and replug the fridge to clear the error and fix the problem. Without knowing whether this company or LG was responsible for the additional appliance issues, we were left with unplugging and replugging in the fridge every time it errors out - actually still until this current review. On January 15, I texted the technician to move forward with ordering the part. I was told to call the office and schedule installation and was given a direct number. Upon doing so, I was told the part was on back order with an expected ship date of January 21st and they would schedule me when the part came in. On February 1st, I called to find out the part was on back order for February 15th and the part was never ordered since they didn't collect my payment and the technician was confused and didn't know the office was supposed to have ordered it. At this point I'm annoyed and frustrated. I complained to the technician and was told to take up the parts availability issue with LG. By February 3rd, I asked if I can simply order the part myself for delivery through an online supplier like SearsDirect or LGParts.com. The part was $340+tax. I was given the part number and name for the part and an affirmative - with a new expected delivery of February 5th. I called the office and scheduled installation for February 6th. They did not show. After calling and complaining, they rescheduled for February 7th - but I'd have to wait until end of day for the technician to be available. Really??!! At this point, I'm texting to confirm so I'm not wasting my time yet again. Finally, on February 7th, the technician comes and shows me about 5 mins of work removing and replacing the control board by unplugging and replugging in of components ... and tells me in the future, I can do it myself, if needed. The fridge seemed to work for about an hour ... then same error and continuation of temperature control issues. At this point I'm super frustrated and pissed. I call the technician and the office and was told they are not responsible for the parts they did not order. Confused, they explained sometimes parts work, sometimes not. So I ordered a second new part for delivery and had to cancel and replace the order due to delays in shipping. The updated replacement t part was due on March 21st - which finally came on March 25th. Since the remove and replacement was so easy - i did it myself. BUT guess what, SAME error and control issues. What are the odds of three parts being bad?? At this point I texted the technician back to have them return to help us out. He does not reply. On March 28th, I called only to be denied service and offered to schedule a new diagnostic service call because the 30-day repair window had expired. It was clear I was upset and the man didn't offer any resolution. Be warned, this is the service you should expect. I and being specific for a reason and everything is documented in call logs and text message chains ... this is a real review from a really dissatisfied customer. A google search reveals this owner also owns a flooring company - so maybe he knows nothing about appliance repair, I do not know but I am alarmed at the delays and lack of customer service. read more

My wife and I have twin 1 1/2 year olds. I woke up in the morning and the fridge/freezer was not working and all the kids food and milk is in there. I called Rush Hour and they said they would be here in 2-3 hours and I said ok, but they called 45 minutes later and said they were running early and would be here soon. Awesome! They came and within 30 minutes replaced the fan motor and everything was fine again. Very satisfied and the price was reasonable. I'd recommend them. read more

They had great reviews online so I called them when my dishwasher broke down. Not an emergency but I called Friday afternoon and they scheduled me for Saturday from 11 to noon. Repair guy's truck broke down in Miami so he ended up showing up around 2:30. No big deal, they called me at 11 to let me know. Repair guy did a thorough investigation and basically told me the dishwasher wasn't even worth repairing because it needed a new motherboard and the motor was dying and would need to be replaced soon. Paid my $65 for the call and now I'm pricing new appliances. Sigh. If we'd been able to repair today they said they would apply the cost of the call to the repair balance. All in all a good experience and I would use them again. read more

On Sunday I realized that my refrigerator had stopped working. Tony was so kind to come out on a Sunday to diagnose the problem. He told me that I would need a new compressor and that it would cost more than replacing the refrigerator. I would recommend them to anyone. I usually don't write bad reviews. But I just wanted to let people know that after $700+ spent on trying to fix my refrigerator it's not working properly. Granted the fridge seems to be of poor quality. However the company wasn't able to fix it after several attempts continued with problems. The last attempt they charged me $125 for the visit (after coming multiple times before) and in 10 minutes determined that I needed to spend another $350. No way! Enough is enough. I will change my fridge and don't want to call them again. I won't give star because the fridge is so bad. But I would have like a better treatment considering the thing still isn't working after so many prior visits. read more

The technician who came to fix our refrigerator did not diagnosed properly, arguing the refrigerator needed a $1,200 part and did not perform any services. We paid $130+ Sears came next day and fixed the refrigerator with a $15 part. We send the Sear's invoice to the owner and he promised he would reimbursed the funds. I called him again because funds are not yet showing in my account, and the owner said to talk to the bank because he sent it already, I asked him to give me a screen printout or some paper work, he has nothing and I still have not received the refund. I have a GE Profile side by side refrigerator. My freezer compartment was not as cold as expected. Opened the freezer compartment and ice cream, ice pops were very soft to touch. I called Rush Hour Repair was able to get appointment within a few hours. The technician Tony, was friendly and knowledgeable. He quickly went to work and diagnosed my problem. Our fan and motherboard went out. Tony advised that this is the first time he has seen both of these to go out at the same time. (Just my luck) He was able to replace the defective e parts at a fair price. I really believed that I would shopping for a new refrigerator but Tony was able to save it. I didn't go as far as some of the people in the reviews here, but my experience with this company is negative. In the end, I was told I would get a refund for the service fee, much like the gentleman in the last review. Doing the numbers, they spent approximately 20 minutes on site for the first call and less than an hour for the follow up to attempt a fix that later I was told should have never been attempted in the first place. I was told I was getting a refund and then given a line that the manage didn't approve the refund. If they do this on average to 10 homeowners a day for 5 days, they are making approximately $7,000/week on nothing but service calls. My advice to anyone is to avoid this company. I am sure most of their happy clients had simple fixes which a newly experienced repairman would have been able to do at a much cheaper cost. If a person can't come out for a call at no or a low cost appointment, I wouldn't use them. It's amazing how much they couldn't find the problem when they saw that we purchased a new refrigerator to replace the broken one. But offered to take it off of our hands when they brainstormed and said it's either this or that. So in the end, they would have had a used refrigerator to sell for $500 to $700 that they made $133.75 on and would have cost them a $300 or less part to fix to sell. read more

Beyond disappointed!!! The service man arrived talking on his phone walking through my house. And yes it was a personal call!!! Glanced over to the dryer and told me it would cost me half of the dryer to repair. I asked him repeatedly to check the functions as all it was doing is not heating. Eventually he said it would cost around $400. No quote or anything and asked for his $75 service fee. If you want a company that is not going to do anything and show up asking for your money, call them!!! Biggest rip off and scam. I had another company out, $80 and repaired. I don't like being disappointed. Don't make an appointment and then cancel last minute. I needed my refrigerator repaired and the food is going bad quickly. These guys are supposed to work around the clock, that is their business model. I call them up Saturday and they say they can come on Sunday at 2:00pm, they call me at 2pm to tell me they can't come, some excuse about only having one truck and it's broken down. I get there are emergencies, but you are a business and should have backup for those things. At least tell me you will be a little late and making arrangements for with some other tech to come. No, just flat out deal with it, we're not coming. I hate mentality where "we don't care, deal with it". The customer just has to suffer. I would have called someone else, my FRIDGE is not working, I was relying on you to fix it!!! Just seriously upset at how unprofessional these guys are. Called them this morning a Sunday. They were here within 2 1/2 hours. While they didn't have the part to repair my refrigerator completely, they did detect the issue, defrost the freezer and get it cooling again while I figure out if I will buy a new fridge or repair this one completely. Service call amount was only 75 bucks, but it saved me about 500 in food so it was well worth it as my fridge stopped really cooling last night. Highly recommended. read more

Our washing machine broke down on a holiday weekend and Rush Hour scheduled an appointment for Saturday morning. They explained the fees on the phone when initially contacted. The service man called in the morning to say he was 10 minutes away, right on schedule. The service man was very polite, informed us of the details, which was very simple. Fees were as explained.
