I was understanding as to the cancellations as we were having a hot summer and I am sure that they were busy with air conditioners... my concern was heat, so I was not in any rush. Yes, waiting once a week for months wasn't ideal, but I wanted the unit repaired. The technician finally arrived in the end of August. Nice guy and he diagnosed the issue without really doing a lot of troubleshooting (the main panel was bad as I suspected all along). They had me sign a contract that specifically says '...Buyer may cancel this transaction at any time prior to the midnight of the third business day after the date of this transaction.' Additionally, I was required to pay a $306 deposit for the repair. I called this morning to cancel as I had already (2 weeks earlier) rodered a mini-split system (I thought keeping the pellet stove would be a good Idea, but thinking it through, not for $1700. The person who answered the phone (a man) asked why I was canceling - I told him why. He then proceeded to tell me that they had already ordered the part. I told him to send it back. He then asked what they were supposed to do with the part. He then stated that my deposit was non-refundable. On the contract, it CLEARLY states 'If you cancel, any property traded in, any payments made by you under the contract ... will be returned within 10 business days. Up until today, all my contacts with this company had been cordial and professional. Once I went to cancel, I got bullied. I don't feel that the cost of replacing a small panel is worth $1700 and seems a bit predatory. I will be reporting this business.

A tenant called me and said her furnace was not working. I called Marco and met him at the house. He took the panel off the furnace and explained that the blower motor was bad on the unit. It was a part that cost over $300. The next day, he came out to repair the furnace . Upon telling me that the job was completed, I went over there to look for myself. I opened the panel and was shocked when I saw that the same old blower motor was still in the furnace. I called him to tell him I knew he had ripped me off. He was speechless for a few seconds before he finally told me that it wasn't him who installed it. It was his employee. I was suspicious so I asked the tenant what the person looked like that came in to do the repair. She told me it was the same guy that I had met with the day before, Marco! Let's face it, in the HVAC business, most customers wouldn't know an igniter from a blower from any other part in the furnace so it's real easy for a dishonest operator to lie to get you to pay for something you don't need. For example, a furnace might not be operating properly because a sensor is dusty. To correct that, the repairman just needs to wipe the dust off. An honest guy would in fact, wipe the dust off and only bill you for the service call. A dishonest operator can charge you for any number of parts. My guess is within a couple of years, Maximum Heating and Cooling will have another new name. When it does, and as long as it is operated by Marco, I will leave a review for the new company as well. This is a shady operator. ​

It served us well but had developed gas leaking valves that could not be replaced. Airtech was contacted because they had installed baseboard heating in the basement some years ago and did a good job. Airtech was out the next day after the initial call. They assessed the old unit and the following day had a new Carrier boiler installed in 6 hours. Superpro job, the new boiler kicks and heats up the house in no time. Though it was an expensive installation, I am very happy with the work and friendly crew which did a great great job. My only criticism is that they left a bit of a mess around the boiler and back steps. But this was minor. It's a reliable company- highly recommend
