My sister and I enjoyed swimming there it was fun. Locker is available for a $1. There are 2 hot tubs available along with sauna and a steam room. We found steam room too cold though. I thought we got a room for a cabin, but stayed in a room since there was none available. At least they had microwave and a fridge to use. I suggest bring your portable range, frying pan and utencils in case you don't get to stay in cabin. Also bring your own sandwiches since there's only one restaurant next to the souvenir shop. The kitchen has all the appliances a group could need and kudos for having a dishwasher. one still gets access to the Resorts' Lagoon indoor pool, saunas and hot tubs which is a good bonus. The scenery around the area is truly mountain beauty with plenty of hiking trails. The service from the staff was always friendly and prompt. I hope the ownership takes a look at some of the resort's features and updates them. The games room is looking aged, lonely and shabby.

We especially enjoyed the jetted bathtub and the comfortable bed. The kitchen was well supplied and included spices and new looking dishes and pots and pans. The cabin is nestled in trees so it seems private. The propane stove kept things toasty warm. We were able to come because our dog was a welcome guest. We will definitely be back again!

No one to report that to next day upon checkout as you just leave your room keys in a bowl on the counter and that's that. No wifi, but our room had a dvd/vcr player, and there is an impressive selection of movies for guests to borrow. We went with a nostalgic Ewok Adventure on VHS, and let me tell you it was a solid choice. Breakfast downstairs included decent coffee, hot veggie quiche, english muffins with cream cheese, and blueberry pound cake. A nice touch, especially since there was nowhere in town open for us to get breakfast. I guess we'll have to come back to Winthrop over a weekend to experience the town at its fullest. I wouldn't mind staying at Chewuch Inn & Cabins again when I do.
