Pros: * Spacious cabin rooms that are very well stocked…read more * Rooms were very clean and had a rustic feel * Very friendly staff :) * COMFY beds and soft blankets! * Beautiful grounds, very peaceful. * Near a charming "downtown" area with food options. We paid $417 for two weekend nights in October. Other notes / Possible Cons - * The sound bleed is so bad. We could fully hear the conversation, footsteps, and movie of the room next to us. So if you don't like that I would definitely recommend getting one of the separated cabins. * A lot of the appliances (TV, fireplace. Etc.) didn't work but it wasn't a huge issue because it wasn't too cold and you're in nature - why need a TV? * Breakfast is homemade and they say it's from 8 - 9:30 AM but really all the food is gone around 9. Again, not really an issue for us since we didn't really eat the breakfast. Good coffee though :)

Staff couldn't tell us how to walk into town or how long it would take us, just that it was a five minute drive (sad). There's an easy foot path and pedestrian bridge you can access just down the road through the Methow River Lodge & Cabins. It was maybe a ten minute walk to town, and a lovely one at that. We requested a quiet room and were placed upstairs all the way at the back, and we were pleased. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Bathtub had trouble draining, so we kept that short and sweet. No one to report that to next day upon checkout as you just leave your room keys in a bowl on the counter and that's that. No wifi, but our room had a dvd/vcr player, and there is an impressive selection of movies for guests to borrow. We went with a nostalgic Ewok Adventure on VHS, and let me tell you it was a solid choice. Breakfast downstairs included decent coffee, hot veggie quiche, english muffins with cream cheese, and blueberry pound cake. A nice touch, especially since there was nowhere in town open for us to get breakfast. I guess we'll have to come back to Winthrop over a weekend to experience the town at its fullest. I wouldn't mind staying at Chewuch Inn & Cabins again when I do.

And that fireplace...it can heat the place up let me tell you! Our lovely patio looked onto the meadow where we were greeted by a deer every morning. There's lots of exploring to be done, if you go down by the huts, there's a trail to the river and lots of little paths to venture down. We were one of two families staying at first, so WIFI in cabin 6 worked just fine. When we left (on a Wednesday) lots of people were arriving. Each cabin had a porta-potty, but the bathroom was close enough that we just used that. The bathrooms were spotless and cleaned daily. My one complaint is that the pizza place opened at 2 and closed at 8 (so no coffee/espresso) and it was only a couple days a week. But that's a great way to explore Mazama and Winthop. And, if there was an emergency, no one was onsite. Pretty sure there was a bear on the premises one night, as the "bear-proof" trash area and dumpsters got ransacked, so come prepared, especially if you're camping. Will we come again? YES. Loved this spot, the quiet, the "just enough" roughing it. Safe, clean and fun!

The weirdest place we've ever stayed. We arrived late and immediately noticed the shower and…read morebathroom floor had a good amount of hair, like it hadn't been properly cleaned. Over the next few days we also noticed the following: 1) under the bed there are numerous boxes, two microwaves and a pair of dirty socks. 2) 2 out of 4 of the bathroom light bulbs were not working. 3) the bathroom cabinet has a bunch of random stuff including an empty tp roll. 4) the fireplace was taken apart and the thermostat was hanging off the wall. 5) a candy wrapper under the couch. 6) top of the fridge was disgustingly dirty. 7) cabinets are messy and disorganized. 8) carpets are super dirty. 9) random sleds and rubber glove in parking area. 10) windows are also disgusting. This place doesn't feel like a rental. It feels like someone's house that wasn't expecting guests. Creepy. Also, the "hot tub" is not hot and doesn't have functioning jets. It seems to have been that way for a long time. I reached out to management and they completely brushed off my concerns. They came by to put the fireplace back together and screw in the light bulbs that weren't working, but otherwise nothing. They tried to say it was because it was a same day turn around, but this place is chronically dirty and disorganized. I get that the cabin is old, but for $200/ night I would expect it to be clean. We will never stay here again and we WOULD NOT recommend it to anyone! There are way better places to stay.

We stayed at this resort In early September. We found it through Air BnB. Our unit was 40B. To…read moreget there you have to wait and set your directions after you get to the fish hatchery or you'll get routed through dirt roads and we were told in the winter are not drivable. The resort is on Lucky Louie Rd do not turn into Wolf Song Road. It'll take you in a long dirt road that does but up to the back of the resort property, but not accessible by vehicle to get to the cabins. Our studio cabin was small but cute. The furniture was made with logs, very rustic. The couch is a log frame with with a futon mattress. The reason we chose the wolf ridge resort is it was dog friendly without breaking the bank. For a three night stay, dog & air bnb fees we paid just little over $400. With that being said, the room had the basic amenities. A coffee pot with some coffee provided. A microwave, fridge. All what you would envision in a hotel room not a house. They did have a small single burner you could plug in and cook. We did not use it so I can't attest it's usability. There was a pot and pan available but no oil or anything like that in the cabin. The bed was comfortable. I must tell you internet is spotty and they only have Netflix available for TV watching. It was ridiculous to even attempt setting it up. We finally lost patience and used our phones and our data to watch shows. Thankfully we brought our iPad. The property itself is relaxing. The pool, while we didn't use it, wasn't hot, thank goodness because I wouldn't have gone in it. The warming house which has a fireplace and ping pong table along with the playground and horse shoe pits at one time were probably really well loved. They remind me of the toy story toys that at one point were well-loved. We did play ping pong and utilized the horse show pits. They were in really rough conditions and hard to play but was fun anyway. What I loved about this place is it's peaceful serenity. They had a river trail to the river. We brought our beach chairs from home and took them down to the river and relaxed which is one of my fav things to do, no one else was down there so we had the place to ourselves and I could let my dog run free. Overall a decent place to stay for the price, I'd say it's worth the money. The resort is about 15 minutes from Twisp and less than 10 minutes from Winthrop. A real pretty drive. Of course the Methow valley is beautiful where you drive.

An inviting living room, a swinging bench on the porch and very comfy beds. They really make you feel like you are friend of the family. I checked in rather late and I was suprised to see my room key waiting for me accompanied by a friendly welcome letter. I loved my bedroom! It wasn't the biggest in the world but the bed was divine! I had my own sink but shared the upstairs bathroom with the rest of the guests (european style!) Coffee starts at 630 am which is nice for the earlier birds. Their continental breakfast includes locally produced jams and compotes as well as a suprise dish of the day. When i was there, frittata one day and the next day it was stuffed french bread/toast. Usually the owner or one of the other care takers is on hand for friendly conversation and to offer tidbits of local advice. My shared bathroom accomdation goes for $89/night which I found to be very reasonable. So stop with your fast paced lifestyle already! slow down at the Methow Valley Inn!

This lovely house is an oasis perched right in the foothill of the mountains, with a river running very close by. It is quiet here, peaceful, and definitely a place to come for a relaxing weekend. The rooms are very affordable and super, super clean. This is by far the most well-kept B&B I have stayed in. The rooms are well-sized and the bed was very comfortable. Be warned that rooms 1,2, and 3 share a bathroom european-style. This was fine by us, and we never even saw the other people while there. We loved the breakfast options, which included many things preserved onsite (including a killer salsa for the fritatta and a lovely raspberry jam and pear compote). The innkeepers are really, really nice people who have the balance down between socializing and letting you relax. This is a hard balance to strike and they do it well. Another big plus: no kids! No dogs either, but this contributes to the peaceful atmosphere. Loved this place and will definitely drive all the way back just to stay there.
