A rep from APTIV came to our house over two years ago and we signed up. The actual service provided once a quarter was fine. Their invoicing practice, however, is an entirely different matter. They do their level best to get you to give them a bank account number so that they can go into your account and withdraw money. We don't do that with any of our creditors so I asked for invoices and that's how we've been operating ever since. Over the past 2+ years that we've had their quarterly service, we have paid every penny owed on every invoice. But APTIV sends invoices that are due the day the statement is issued, not even due on receipt. That's issue number one. Next, we admittedly made the mistake of underpaying the December 14, 2021, invoice by $5. The invoice was $114 and we sent $109 because the prior invoice had been $109 and we didn't update the payment amount. The next quarterly service was performed in February of 2022 and APTIVE issued an invoice on March 14, 2022, showing a total amount due of $124 (the February service of $119 plus the $5 underpayment from December). On March 25, 2022, a whopping 11 days after sending the March 14 invoice (which we didn't receive until the week of March 21), we got a letter from a collection agency. APTIV is apparently so desperate for funds that it turned us over to a collection agency over an unpaid March, 2022, invoice amount of $119 plus the now 90 days old balance of $5. The collection agency letter said we owed $228 as of December 14 and, when I called APTIV today with its December 14, 2021, statement in hand showing a $5 balance, not $228, the rep apologized and said I was correct so their records were wrong. Nonetheless, our account is cancelled because it was sent to collection based on erroneous records and after having paid fully for over two years of service. That worked out fine because we were going to cancel anyway because of the horrible customer relations policies. I only wish we could give them a half a start...our treatment doesn't deserve a whole star rating. read more

Overly aggressive salesman visited my neighborhood today. I had to shut the door in his face to get rid of him after telling him several times I was not interested in his insect extermination services. Within five minutes he returned to ask questions about my property. I would not open the door to him. It is my understanding the company does not have a permit to solicit services in the Zionsville area. If I want services, I will call the company. This is trespassing and an invasion Of my privacy. The only reason I give one star is because I can not post comments without a rating. I would never use this company after my interaction with the salesman. read more

I just had a confrontation with a solicitation representing Aptive Environmental (pest control) regarding his solicitations in our neighborhood of Williston Green. While he was polite in nature, he was a bit argumentative when told he was not supposed to solicit in a posted NO SOLICITING neighborhood, or go into homeowners private property without explicit permission from the property owner. He then proceeded to tell me that since he had an ID card and was wearing identifiable Aptive clothing, that he had permission from the company and city to go into private property to solicit for Aptive Environmental. Now he had already trespassed on my property by going onto my driveway and to my garage (this own admission). He even told me that if I pursued having him leave the neighborhood, he would call the police on me. When I told him to please go ahead and call the police so that I could have him arrested, he suddenly backed off that line of discussion. In all honesty this was not a pleasant incident, and therefore I cannot give a good recommendation to this company. I definitely will never use Aptive Environmental, nor would/will I recommend them. I am advising my family and friends to also avoid this company, based upon my contact with their representative. read more

The WORST! STAY AWAY! Our house was scheduled for the first treatment by Aptive on Thursday, June 5th. They did not show up or call and then showed up the next day. We assumed we wrote down the appointment incorrectly. When the technician got there he said he had been spraying all day long (it was about 8:00 pm when he arrived) and that he was out of several of the chemicals he would need to fully treat our house. He did a treatment and said he would be back to spray the chemicals he did not have "soon". I called the following Monday to set a date for them to visit. I got a voice mail that said to leave a message and for "existing customers" not to hang up and call sales because they can't help. Their message says they "promise" to call back the following day. Tuesday - no call. Wednesday - no call. Finally on Saturday I called them again and got the same message and left another message. Monday - no call so I went online and "chatted" with someone who said they could only pass along a message to the people who deal with existing customers. I asked that a manager call me back. Never got a call. There is no place on their website to contact them any other way. I regret every hearing the name of this company. They say if you see bugs after their treatment to call them and they will come out right away. My house is being over run with spiders and ants (which they supposedly treated for on the first visit) and I have to call someone else to come out and take care of it. $100 down the toilet. We had a "gentleman" come into our neighbors backyard that is not easy to get to to harass us as we were eating a nice steak dinner with friends. No means NO! It is NOT ok to continue to ask questions, not leave when asked to leave and be incredibly rude and hostile when told no. Just because you ask personal questions does not mean anyone has to answer especially at 730 at night sitting in your own personal space. FURIOUS. read more

The service was decent however heaven help you if you ant to cancel service after your contract ends. when we tried to do this it was months of calls on Saturday morning to let us know they had scheduled service for Monday. Every time I talked to them on his phone and was assured it was indeed canceled only get a call the next month. This is nothing short of harassment of a former customer. read more

Predatory company. David was soliciting door to door in our subdivision. The grift is we are working at your neighbors oh look there is our truck (which btw leaves him in the subdivision). Hit our house at 6:00 p.m. would not take no for an answer. Kept pounding on door. When I answered again his comment was I'm not finished. He has an answer for anything. He wanted to know if we had guns in house or cameras on house. Highly suspicious questions. He stated he was in our subdivision until 8:30 a gated community. He definitely was attempting to gather personal information. This company needs to be shut down. He was abusive to three other neighbors. Yes, we do talk to each other. Do not call them!! I was supposed to have an appointment 3 weeks ago, but the tech had to all off because he was too busy. So I rescheduled for the following week. Well, the next week the guy was a no call no show. When I texted him the next day, he told me that his truck had been towed. Not my problem and would have been nice to have a txt jelling me that your not going to show up. So I rechedules yet again (3rd day off work). No text telling me he was on the way. No booties on the shoes, traced snow in my house. Was supposed to have bait boxes, as I had asked for them last week - no bait boxes. Now I have to take a 4th day off work to have the bait boxes??? We love aptive they are really prompt and will come out in between visit free of charge! We love the price we got $99 per visit quarterly and got $30 off for a neighbor referral! This is our first time using them but our neighbors have said wonderful things about them as well. We live in between a creek and pond so logs of activity. I like how through the inspection was the second them they really made sure whatever way they were coming in they would stop it. They used special product on the play area and garden area that wouldn't hurt the food or plants. Very happy with this company so far! read more

We hired this service specifically to get rid of spiders, and this service did not work for that. We still saw the same amount of spiders in the house. When I tried cancelling, they made me jump through many hoops. When I made my payment over the phone, I got through right away. They then placed me on hold to cancel which I waited for over 30 minutes for them to just hang up on me without putting me through to anyone. When I finally got ahold of someone to cancel, they couldn't even cancel it because they couldn't get ahold of another department. My service is still not cancelled... read more

Had to call for the 3rd time to remove wasp nest that wasp keep rebuilding as soon as it gets removed. Nothing is being done to detour the wasp from rebuilding in the same spot. Within 20 minutes after nest has been removed the wasp are back rebuilding. I am awaiting a call back to schedule the 3rd nest removal. Hopefully it will be the last. read more

I am extremely unhappy! I got aptive because I have a mice problem, when I called i was told that I would be charged for the initial service and then quarterly. My initial service was December and a month later (today) they came out again and did a service while I was at work and charged me again. When I called they were unapologetic and basically told me I don't know why you weren't originally told we come out a month after the initial service but too bad you still have to pay. They continued to make excuses as to why it happened and why I wasn't told rather than apologize and try to work through it the second time I called. They also kept bringing up a contract that I don't have a copy of in physical form or online and don't remember signing. I ended up canceling any future service, although they were not able to give me a confirmation of that and said it will be emailed so I will be awaiting that email and following up to make sure I'm not overcharged again. I will definitely not be recommending aptive to anyone, if anything I will be telling people not to use their services because this is how they treat their customers. I have used Aptive Environmental for one year in Indianapolis. Their treatments were ineffective and they will harass you about payment starting the day after the treatment. Since paying their most recent bill and closing my account I have received five telephone calls and seven copies of the last invoice. Do not use this company! read more

They need to stop sending young men out in the neighborhoods and knocking on doors without face coverings and not social distancing. They have come to our front door and gotten close to us twice now and we keep telling them we are not interested. Find a new way to get customers that won't potentially spread Covid. read more

I actually would give this company minus stars if I could! This company is absolutely horrible and fraudulent! My advice would be if you have already hired them, pretend you are not home and watch them. My first service they didn't do much of anything, walked around and I had to call the company to send them back out. The second person knocked any cobwebs I had on the exterior of the home right onto my screens and left it!!! It looked like I had already decorated for Halloween. I thought I would give them one last try on the next visit. The service guy did not know I was home and he went and sat in his truck for 20 minutes and then charged me saying he did something. I called the company to complain and they refunded me my money and said I would no longer be charged, but if I wanted a free service, to call and set it up. Needless to say, I never called because they don't actually do anything. I received a text several months after that saying they were coming out for service. I called the office and explained the trouble I had all over again and that I was apologized to, refunded my money, and told I would no longer going to be charged. They were less than pleasant or understanding! So I asked to speak with the manager. She was 10 times as rude. Telling me I had to continue service with them and continue paying. I continued to explain that all of that was to be taken care of and I was no longer getting service and would not be charged. Keep in mind I only had 2 more visits left in the contract they are now telling me I have to keep. She threatened me and no more than I put my phone down from the conversation after repeatedly telling them they were not to charge my card, they charged my account $199!!!! More than my 2 visits remaining would have cost me, not to mention each visit is done and charged every 3 months, not in one day. I called back immediately. They refused to talk to me and instead started emailing me. They refuse to give back my money!!! So, long story short, I received crappy service on the first visit and got charged, got zero service several months later, got charged. However they did credit It back. And now, still no service and I am out an additional $199. They refused to even give It back and do the service. They said they would just hold on to It and if i got any credit it, would be the difference of both services and the cancellation fee in check form. They also refused to give me the owners contact information or have them call me back. It's a SCAM!!!! Do not give them your credit card information!!!! Make them paper bill you if anything!!! Beware of this company! I received the absolute worst customer service imaginable! Steer clear of this company unless you want a headache from a combination of worthless products and deplorable customer service. If you have any issues, they respond with false information because they don't know how to understand or research issues correctly (Ashley) and raise their voice so you can't talk. Talvin was not able to comprehend the issue/complaint at hand because he was more interested in what he was going to yell next than listening to the customer. Initial treatment was fine, but it went down hill from there. Full details below. They made an appointment time without any regard to my schedule. I contacted them to move it, and I changed my schedule to meet their window. The technician failed to show up. I called the office; again rescheduled without any assurance they will show up. I think for the price paid and the terms of the contract this is unacceptable. There is no difference in the number or type of pest I have seen since they are servicing my house. If I could get out of the contract, I would. It cost several hundred dollars to get out of the agreement. It's cheaper for me to continue service till the end of the term. They contacted me to reschedule again, which I did. Again the technician did not show up. I called and was told that no one was scheduled to come. I was offered "four free re-services." These are already included in the contract for free. Essentially I was offered nothing. After pointing it out, then I was told I wouldn't be charged for this quarter. After discussion and no reassurances that anyone would ever actually service my home, I decided it would be better to part ways. Initially told it was a $250 fee to get out of the contract (weighing $99 a quarter for no shows vs $250). After arguing for ten minutes they said it would be $49 instead; basically "doing me a favor" for no service and wasting my time multiple times. After a $49 extortion fee I am no longer an aptive customer. It's probably worth it to get out of such a terrible company. read more

I was open to this company at first. They knocked on my door and didn't really asked me yes or no, to if I wanted the service, they just started signing me up. Ok, whatever. Worth a shot. I chose the 18 month contract. Initial treatment was $90, all others were to be $120. The 2nd treatment would happen 20-60 days after the initial. Then treatments would be every 60-100 days. I was told they'd spray inside the enclosed back porch, and in my shed. First appointment arrives, they have it as 24 month service. I corrected them, they had to call in and ask for it be changed. I never received an updated contract. Neither my porch or shed were touched. Recap of the visit was sent the next day, with verbiage hinting that it should've been read right after the service. I signed up for the account access, checked the contract...it still said 24 months. Also noticed that the "plan visits" were every 6 months, after the 2nd visit. So I started a chat to ask about both issues. They said their system said 18 months, so I asked for an updated contract. They said they put in a request for it. Then had to re-ask about the "plan visits." They said that "you will receive services every 45 days until October. Once October comes, the frequency changes to quarterly." That is not what was on my contract, nor told to me by the sales person or tech that had been to my house. The inconsistency in information is what lead to me to cancel my contract. I called twice. No answer either time, waited on hold for 15min each. The 2nd time I decided to request a call back. Before I could even put my phone down, I was receiving a call back. I asked to cancel my contract. They said they stopped all activity in my account, however some other dept had to finish the cancellation. Conveniently no one was available and I was told I would be called back. Still waiting on that call back. All the employees seemed nice enough. Getting ahold of someone is a pain and getting quick results is ridiculous. I don't like inconsistencies. Hubert Cox was by far the best technician you have sent. He actually removed cobwebs and sprayed inside my doors. No one has done that in the past. He was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. He even cleaned up the last technicians mess on my screens. Too bad this was my last service. I would request him every time!! He deserves more than $5! The 5 stars are for Hubert. I would give Aptive 3 stars due to past technicians and I still get bugs in my house and spider webs inside and outside my house. Very very disappointing and deceiving. 0 STARS Came to my door, I did not call them, first mistake. They offered an intro service for $59 or so, when I hesitated, they made it free, and would come out each quarter. They did NOT provide me with a contract, and the only thing I signed on their tablet was a credit card for I'd only. Second mistake The service did not work, if anything it made my ant problem worse. I went out and purchased consumer grade products, and addressed it myself. When the called in 45 days to do the quarterly visit(?), I told them it did not work, and not to come out again. They then sent me a copy of the contract they claimed I signed and billed me $229 for my 1 visit. I am still working on getting this cleared up, but from their attitude I expect a major fight. I was scammed. Should have know better as salesman knocked on door in Butler Tarkington. Called main office and on hold for too long, no receptionist picked up. My experience so far ... a very bad one. The claimed they sprayed and cleaned webs but all that happened was a drive by and a drop of the card saying they performed the job. I have pictures to prove it . I feel I have been scammed into an annual contract . Their only response to my complaint email was : oups lets make it right and I haven't heard back from them since.
