If I could rate this company 0 stars, I would. They are THE worst. The person that came out "treated" our yard for about 2 mins and it did absolutely nothing. Vole issues are worse in our yard that was supposedly "treated" versus our neighbors yards who did not use this (or any) service. DO NOT GO WITH THESE PEOPLE!!!! Yikes a very agressive young man storms into our driveway on a segway...I told him to stop and keep his distance from us. No mask and frankly acted like he was clueless why we would ask him to keep a distance. Anyone train these guys? The customer service center in Minnesota is the absolute worst I have ever dealt with. On two separate occasions I dreadfully had to call the service center to reschedule my service appointments and had the misfortune to deal with the most arrogant representative you can imagine. Such a scam. Not even worth one star. My first ever review on a company cause its that bad. The sales guy basically lied about these services. They come out to do certain things.. none of my webs were taken down. The guy was here for MAYBE 2 minutes max. I have used them in the past and cancelled since it is never the same person and they don't come inside to do service unless you call them each time, even though I have it as a standing order. Foolishly I renewed after taking a break and again, they don't answer the phone so I can make an appointment for service of pests (yes they promise to come out as often as needed but then don't answer the phone), when they responded to email they left a vm with day but no time window and WILL NOT answer the phone so I can arrange a window of time or request inside work. Terrible. On their first treatment they pushed up a piece of the soffit leaving a hole where a wasp nest developed. Called them back to clean out since they caused it but they said they're not allowed to go up on a ladder. The guy that came out just put more insect powder in the area but the nest is still there and the piece of soffit is still pushed up. Called three times to their customer service number. On hold for at least 15 minutes each time before you have the option to have them call you back. Each time they said they've escalated to the local branch manager. It's been two weeks and three phone calls and no answer from Aptive and still no resolution. read more

First, we have a No Soliciting sign on the door. It's against the law to then knock and solicit. Second, STOP COMING TO OUR HOUSE! We should not have to tell four 'sales' people from your company 'no' in two weeks. That is harassment, not door to door sales. Third, why would you ever come up to us in the yard without a mask and continue to talk loudly and persistently when we ask you to leave. Have you heard there is a pandemic??? We go to extreme effort to socially isolate only to have your unwelcome representatives breach our space. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. Fourth, when we asked to see a permit, the person flashed something that was not a permit for our city. Since you refuse to stop bothering us, my next step is to call the City of Eden Prairie and file a harassment compliant and ask them to revoke your license. I would not recommend this business to anyone. They are useless in the prevention of pests. They only treated vents and windows on the lower level of the house. Even I know bugs can crawl up walls. They came out in February, -20 degrees below to do a spring pre-season treatment. They did kill all the snow spiders. They showed up April 6th. and said they would spray the lawn for ants,ticks,etc in july???? No promises kept except the one to charge my credit card. Contract specifies mice. Had mice. Called -was told they had not correctly entered the problem on the computer- so they had not treated it. Would correct. Came - still had mice. Agreed to cancel contract. They would send confirmation. Did not send confirmation of cancelled contract. These guys are not cheap, but it did not work for me. I would be very cautious in dealing with this company. Pay very close attention to their explanations of services and be sure you understand every detail of their contract. It cost me $329 for two ineffective applications. Be very careful with their special offers. If your not satisfied with their service the answer you will get is "It's in the contract" Be careful fellow consumers, this company does not treat customers the way a reputable company would. If you need an exterminator, hire one of the name brand companies and don't fall for the "so called" special offer. Do not subscribe to this scam service. When you discover it's a scam, it's harder to cancel than a gym membership with all the fine print about requiring a year or paying $250 cancellation fee. Even when attempting to cancel after 4 treatments, (2 of witch they did when there was snow on the ground, the least effective time to treat for insects) they claim the initial treatment doesn't count. Avoid these guys at all costs!! It's a complete rip-off and waste of time. Staff that show up at your house come in busted up personal vehicles and they don't look professional at all. To say they lack professionalism is an under-statement. For treatments they use a large stick with a swab and apply to the exterior of the house. This is for bugs/rodents I am told. Didn't do anything. Don't sign anything, but if you do, get out. They threatened to charge me several hundreds of dollars to get out of my contract. I told them I am not paying it, and would complain to BBB and tell all my neighbors about my experience. They then allow me to close the account. read more

We have used Aptive for the past year. We are so frustrated with them! If we have a problem, it is next to impossible to reach a live person. Their customer service is terrible. We have a pest issue that they have not addressed and I informed them about it over 2 weeks ago and they said someone would call us to come out and help but we never heard back from anyone. This isn't the first time we've had an issue. Now, we are trying to cancel the service and after calling multiple times and being on hold for over 30 minutes each time, I don't know what to do. I have a job too and can't stay on hold all day. They can't get their billing straight either. I cannot recommend this service at all! read more

Treatments by Aptive made absolutely no difference for my house. Did not see a decrease in spiders or ants. In fact I discovered a large ant colony right next to my house. They charged me $120 to cancel last service but I paid it because I saw zero value in having them come to my house to apply ineffective treatments. In my 2+ years with Aptive, we went from never seeing mice anywhere (except dead in traps in the basement), to seeing more and more droppings in the basement/garage, to currently, on 2 separate and recent occasions, seeing a mouse openly wandering around the kitchen (including last night, while we were all sitting down at dinner) - when I called to say I was dissatisfied with the service, I was directed to "Paulene," who told me that it sounds like my problems are "bigger than what Aptive can handle." She recommended I go with "bigger firms" that can handle rodent problems, then recommended the firm I was using BEFORE I switched to Aptive (I only switched in the first place to save $ - ironic bc after the introductory 1st year rates, the difference in price isn't even that great). I said, "So basically you're saying I should not have switched in the first place, since the firm I was using knew how to deal with mice, and using you guys only made my problem worse." She responded, "I don't know what to tell you - I mean, we're letting you go..." - like she was doing me a Favor releasing us from a contract, when we've been dutifully paying customers for 2+ years. She also said that I should have called sooner to say I wasn't happy - I said that I did, back in January, the first time I saw a live mouse wandering around the kitchen (I also consistently told the techs during each quarterly visit that I was seeing more droppings in the basement - but since it was a different tech Each Time, maybe that fact didn't register). Back in January (1st live mouse spotting), I immediately went out to buy traps & set them around the kitchen - later, when the (perfectly nice) Aptive tech came, he looked around, saw my traps that I had purchased with my money (on top of what I'm paying Aptive to take care of pest control), and said, "You're doing everything you can," then shrugged and left. Paulene's response to all this? I should have called sooner. I should have asked for a different tech. A whole list of things *I* should have done. Every tech Aptive sent out was a perfectly nice, polite young man (always took off their shoes once inside). If you want a very nice young man wandering around your property for a short spell and you have minimal to nonexistent pest issues, go with Aptive. However, if you have actual pest issues and ESPECIALLY if you have any kind of mice/rodent problems, absolutely look elsewhere. read more

We've used Aptive for just over a year now and have been happy with the service. We'd previously had issues with giant ants, spiders, and mice in our house. While my cat probably deserves credit for the mouse issue, the ants and spiders that we'd dealt with a few years are no longer an issue. They also found and knocked down some wasp nests. We've had wasps again and true to their word, when we've called to let them know, they've scheduled follow up service. Why 4 stars and not 5? The follow-up service has always been scheduled for over a week out, and there's a 4 hour window they come (only matters if you need then to go through your house). Additionally, if you need them to get into your house, it's hard to pair with the routine service, as you only know what day they're coming rather than a window. Overall we've been happy. read more

I am not giving them any star! They have a terrible customer service. They're giving me a hard time to cancel their service. I was put on hold for more than an hour and then an automated voice told me that they don't have available representative and just dropped my call. I sent them an email and responded that I have to call and speak with a manager. I told them that I did called many times but was put on hold for more than an hour. No response after that. Their Apps does not have a way to cancel services and the only way is to call them. Please help on how to proceed and cancel Aptive services. read more

Aptive came out in the spring & caught my husband in a "weak" moment due to the start price for their "program." Suffice it to say after their first application we had never seen so many ants in our kitchen! It was almost like they put out some thing to draw the in instead of a repellant. We subsequently informed the & they came out again. There was NO improvement. Despite this we allowed them the next treatment in late summer. Trust me- we have had a mouse or two in the house when the weather gets cool, but this year we have experienced a bumper crop and have trapped 20 thus far. Do I blame Aptive? Please beware of this company and their sales people that walk door-to-door in the summer months. Last summer, they had "approved" solicitor licenses in Wayzata and Chaska (although they were not approved in Edina, it did not stop them). I, too, made the mistake of signing up for their service and noticed it was not working about a month into the contract. I called to cancel and was then told about the cancellation fee. I thought I was paid in full, until the following quarter when they started to call and email about an outstanding balance. I was determined not to pay anything else to this company that spent a total of about 15-20 min at my house in 6 months! As of right now, I was told that my contract has been cancelled and the latest fee has been waived, but what a dishonest company! I also complained about the tactics that were used by the salesperson and was told they're "independent sales consultants." They must hire these people in the summer to shake down as much business as they can door-to-door in wealthy suburbs and register unknowing residents to an annual contact. Unfortunately, I learned my lesson the hard way, but hope you can learn something from my mistake! read more

Please don't sign anything from them! Apparently I signed a contract, even after I had a very specific conversation with Brantley about how I will not sign a contract, because I've been burned before. His words (almost) verbatim "oh no it's not a contract, and it doesn't matter because you're going to love our service so much you'll be with us for years." Basically he tricked me into signing it by saying I was signing an approval for the discounted rate, permission to be on my property, and payment, the document was called a "Welcome Letter". He told my neighbors the same thing. Not the case. We still had soo many Ants, spiders, ticks, and wasps . I tried calling to cancel, they don't answer their phones. When I did get ahold of someone, they said something along the lines of Brantley is an outside sales person and they can't go by what he said, but I did indeed sign a contract. They also said that I didn't give it a chance with only two treatments. She said they could cancel my account but I would be charged a $210 dollar cancelation fee. They have zero communication until it has to do with getting your money, then they don't leave you alone. I've had multiple emails saying I owe them and multiple bills coming in the mail for the $210. I canceled mid November. I'm out $150 already, and absolutely nothing to show for it, and will have bad remark on my credit history. read more
