Let's start with the positives: the initial process of setting up the opening of the pool was easy and responsive. I work crazy hours in the hospital and they were very accommodating of my work schedule. They have been accommodating to send people/techs there when asked. Thank you for that, it's much appreciated! The items that could be worked on: 1) Follow up communication. It took two to three weeks for them to complete the pool opening, we had many visits with techs where they stayed for 5 minutes and promptly left. We were not given updates or told what happened. When I spoke to the friendly front desk staff person on the phone today I was finally told that what happened was the techs had to leave as they "ran out of time. Which is why there were frequent visits." 2) When I initially signed up for these services, I had asked if I could meet with the techs to learn about the proper ways to manage and care for the pool. I was told this was not a problem and they could set this up. Unfortunately, this never happened. 3) When the pool was finally opened, we still noticed a fair amount of debris and dirt. The clarity of water was also questionable. We called and were told this was the "best they could do and the pool was ready to use." They noted that the equipment sometimes brings debris into the pool. 4) The condition of the pool had since gotten worse and I had to have a family member call while I was at work yesterday to see if we could get an emergent service as the pool was becoming green. A tech was dispatched, when I got home I realized the pump was turned off. We had no idea why it was off or if we could use the pool. No one had called or left a voicemail. It wasn't until I called this morning and asked about what was going on that I was notified that could be an issue with the skimmer, filter, or pump. There were no issues with the skimmer, filter, or pump when the pool was initially open. If there were, no one had told us. 5) Lastly, through all of these services I was never given an itemized bill for services or contract to sign. While not a finalized quote they estimated that opening would be roughly $1800 which is significantly more than what I was quoted. I expect even more cost now for possible diagnostics and repairs. You can look through my previous reviews of all local businesses, I try hard to find the positives. I also gave a lot of trust to this group because of other reviews and relied on their expertise. Unfortunately my interactions after the initial chat has not gone well.

In both getting our spa up and running back in late August and doing basic maintenance since, he's made as many return visits as necessary and has been sure to educate us on proper care on between visits. I don't know anyone else with a pool or spa, but if I did I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Kyle. A+ service every time.

He was nice and friendly and…read moretexted us to set up an appointment between 9am-11am but on the day of the appointment, he didn't show up and he didn't call or message us to let us know he wasn't coming. We messaged him to ask if he was still coming but he didn't respond until almost 2pm and when he did, he apologized and told us that he ran into an emergency that took longer than he thought and he asked us if we could please allow him another chance to come the following morning. We took a chance and set up an appointment for 9 AM the following day. We sat and waited for him the next morning and again he was a "no show". He did message around 9:30am stating he was sorry again but he had another emergency and he would have to reschedule for later in the week. Kyle seems to be a nice person but a horrible businessman. It was very inconvenient for us to move schedules around only to be canceled on 2 days in a row. We understand that things happen, but there was no communication the first day, just a complete "blow off" and to reschedule for the next morning, only to cancel bc of an "emergency" for the 2nd day in a row, makes us feel like we aren't important at all and our time doesn't matter. Another thing is that we were sent an invoice for over $180 shortly after speaking with Kyle to set up the initial appointment. I'm SO GLAD we didn't pay that, bc then we would have been out our time and our money. After we told him that we would not be rescheduling for a 3rd time, all he could say is "life happens". Indeed life does happen Kyle, which is why we decided to forget about the first appointment where you pulled a "no call no show" after we waited around for you all morning, and we decided to reschedule with you. But to pull that crap again the very next day, makes me wonder how you can run a successful business. If there's anyone reading this who lives in the Fernley area, is decently handy, and decently respectful and responsible, you should start a pool and spa business, because it wouldn't take much effort at all to beat the service provided by Kyle at Tahoe Clear Pool and Spa. Thanks for wasting our time Kyle. Funny how he wanted $180 before even setting foot on my property, but yet he can waste hours of OUR time and not be liable for a dime. Before booking an appointment with Kyle to look at your Pool or Spa, I'd look elsewhere so you don't end up wasting time like we did.

    The owner of this company, who was also the one servicing the pool took pictures of the neighbor's…read morechild in their backyard (which is quite literally against the law to take pictures of someone in their private residence, including backyard without their consent), tried to walk into the neighbor's house and also called the police because the child was serving a ten minute timeout and was whining during it. He didn't respect his client's wishes for him to leave the family alone and was quite literally a hothead. He then continued to disrespect the family when their number was passed onto him and requested a conversation with him. 0/5 stars would be given if possible. The owner is unhinged and clearly has something going on in his personal life he should get professional help for. Would not trust this man around your kids or any neighbors he might think he knows better than.

Brennan initially came out to identify that our spa pump was failing. Ordered the new pump, Sam came out and did an excellent job replacing the old one. Had to make a plumbing modification...went out, got the part and completed the job. Spa is running smoothly and quietly. Now, if only the weather would be so cooperative! Highly recommend this team for you pool or spa service and/or repair.

    It took a bit of time, but other companies weren't even offering repairs without a maintenance…read morecontract. They had a good response time, found the problem, tracked down the parts, and made the necessary repairs to get our tub running as good as before. Ya, a little room for improvement. The service tech had to come out twice, but I'm not taking a star away for it bc he was honest and made it right without excuses or charging us extra. Only star i took away is over communication. I appreciate the quick replies when i reached out, but I would have been more appreciative if they were the ones reaching out to me. Just a little more proactive to keep customers updated. I'd recommend them & would call on them again (I'm hoping not to need their services again though!)

Love our Jacuzzi. Lately though, I reached out for a service and was advised they had made some staffing changes, and the new technician wasn't quite up to speed on a couple things. No worries. I had them drain and waited six months. I have called twice and left three different emails requesting a response...just want some maintenance. I haven't received any type of response either via email or call. That seems unusual for them, and I am concerned. Having said that, will need to call someone else. I hope all is ok.
