It took 31 days since I had first made contact with aqua pools to request the owners contact information so I could fill him (the owner Mike) in on how his staffs lack of courtesy and responses ultimately led me to decide I didn't want to spend my hard earned money with this company. Chuck S the manager was beyond rude when I called him out for not responding to several emails asking for a date in which he could come out to my property, simply give me a timeline and put together a price. He informed me he was in Texas for the week prior, but the last response that I had received from Chuck was several weeks before his trip to Texas. Chuck would not give me the owners information. I still do not have the owners information. Hopefully this review reaches the owner, and you can know Chuck cost you quite a bit of money by his lack of attention and courtesy. Lastly, Chuck yelled during our last phone call. Not once or twice, but for most of the conversation after he realized I was trying to inform the owner of his shortcomings. He withheld contact information about the owner. I don't know Chuck personally, but from the interaction I had, he is dishonest and unmotivated to bring in new work to aqua pools. read more

First off, they never answer their phone during business hours. Second, you have to pay in advance, 100% before they will agree to do any repair work. However, even after you pay in full/ in advance/ they will not give you a date to do the work. The woman I spoke to on the phone gave me all these reasons why not to expect the work to be done in a timely manner. Went somewhere else. read more

Tyler that works here is AMAZING, extremely knowledgeable on pools, and went above and beyond to help me with pointers on maintaining the pool since I'm a newbie. If you need services done to your pool definitely recommend Tyler, he'll get your pool up and running and staying clear much better than the others we've had service our pool over last 25 years. read more

We've uses Aqua Pool & Patio for many things including renovating our pool when it needed it. We take our water there to be tested every 2 weeks and everyone we have interactions with are super friendly and helpful. Glad we have them in our area to help us keep our pool sparkling clean! read more

Reader - I cannot discourage you enough from working with AquaPool. They were brought in to do our pool and spa/hot tub by our landscape architect as part of a bigger project. The construction process was completely unprofessional and unsupervised and work was just left to whomever they subbed out the various stages to. Problems and concerns were never directly addressed. Conflicts, delays, etc. Even the landscape company that brought them in was at their wits end. The project manager made one appearance at the beginning and was never seen again. I was informed of incomplete aspects of the project only after it was deemed "complete". Once turned over to the service department communication and follow up sporadic at best. Like other reviews and the adjectives they chose: unprofessional/untrustworthy/disappointed/"looks nice"/abominable/incompetency and I am sure there are others out there. They all apply. They cancelled the service for regular maintenance shortly after closing the pool last fall (within a month of it being completed) and told me to find someone else. In my present case - They came to open the pool, charged me close to $800 for the privilege, and the heater has not worked since, after working all winter. Six weeks later and still nothing. No apology. No sending out the guys that broke it to fix it. Unprofessional. Uncommunicative. Incompetent. I think it is time for some type of class action for all of those impacted by AquaPool for recovery of damages and to stop any future victimization of potential buyers. I get caveat emptor, but there is a limit as to what a business may represent in terms of its goods and services and then fail to deliver, address or correct. read more

It's disappointing I have an Aqua Pool in my backyard that cracked significantly and stopped holding water only 2.5 years after build. It's even more disappointing how Aqua has handled the troubleshooting and repair process. The pool was completed Fall of 2017, and was only ever maintained by Aqua. At Spring 2020 opening, significant structural cracks were revealed that have worsened with time. Aqua first applied epoxy patches on the easy to reach cracks. That did not solve the water loss, and despite visible cracking in the Spa, Pool/Spa wall, skimmer, and stairs, they dispatched a crew to pressure test the spa jets (passed with no issue) - and then sent us a bill for that work. We questioned the bill. They called us for payment, and told us that within a week they'd be getting back to us with an estimate and proposal for a full repair. We paid the bill, and nearly a year later still have not received a quote for repair. We've held off on writing any review, waiting to see if or how Aqua would ultimately resolve this situation. We have tried to be patient and understanding, giving Aqua multiple chances to earn back our trust and make things right. And we've wanted to believe that they would. After a year of being passed around between different employees and different departments, making no progress towards a solution, and only watching our pool continue to deteriorate, we finally reached out to the owner hoping to find some clarity. His response was more than disappointing. He deflected responsibility, placing blame on his subcontractors and throwing his own employees under the bus, and the only "solution" he offered us was more temporary patches. It's starting to feel as if Aqua either doesn't know how or just doesn't want to fix the critical problems with their own product. Our experience certainly doesn't line up with the quality of craft and level of service that Aqua advertises. They proudly state that they've been in business for over 50 years, and they're now under second generation ownership. But our experience has taught us that a reputation inherited is only as good as a reputation upheld. read more

I am giving a 1 star for false advertisement the website clearly states they service in-ground and above- ground pools but when I called the receptionist kept saying they only build and service inground pools. I read the website information off to her and she told me it was incorrect. Seems a little fishy because I was referred by someone who has a above ground pool who used this company. read more

As an update here, after much follow up Aqua Pool did step in and rectify the issue with the seal by completely removing and replacing the old seal. If communication about their intent had been made (even if the message is we are busy but will get to it), the initial review would not have been necessary. My hope is that Aqua pool keeps this in mind going forward for other customers. read more

I hesitated to write this review but Aqua Pool has left me no choice. We bought a house with a pool and the previous owners shared with us that they used Aqua Pool & Patio so we decided to use them to close the pool as we were at the end of the season. First, we closed our pool in the early fall of 2019. The guys came, worked on the pool and I gave them all of the things required to close it up that was left by the previous homeowner. One of the guys came to me and informed me I was short one plug. I said, "I gave you everything they left us." He said, "no problem, I'll get one from the truck. They cost about $2 each." I said no problem. When they were done I wrote a check for the price given. 2 months later I get an email from Aqua Pool saying that I didn't pay for a plug and they'll charge me for the plug when I open my pool in the spring. I felt the tone was accusatory like I intentionally stole the plug or avoided paying for it. I merely asked what I owed and paid that amount. It was incredibly petty to add $2+ onto a $450 tab to close a pool but I agreed to it. My wife and I shrugged it off and decided to use them in the spring. Fast forward to the Covid-19 pandemic and opening our pool. I made an appointment to open our pool, was given a date and they emailed me a contract. On the contract was a $75 Covid-19 pandemic surcharge because they can't send a team in the same truck. Understandable but I felt $75 was excessive nor did they tell me when they had me on the phone. They buried it in a contract. Also, they open numerous pools in a day so that $75 adds up. I'll also share that when the day came they did indeed show up in separate vehicles but didn't wear masks nor socially distance from one another whatsoever. The day of my opening came and I called Aqua Pool to inquire approximately when can I expect to see them since I didn't receive any communication of when they'll arrive? They woman said, "we're not coming. They called out. Nobody called you to tell you?" I replied, "No, nobody told me. If I didn't call I'd be waiting for you all day." We made an appointment for two days later and I was told I'd be the first stop. The day of opening the guys showed up in their separate vans, together and not socially distancing, but one on the phone the whole time like a whirlwind. They don't vacuum the pool, even though we paid to have our pool vacuumed, throw in 5 pounds of shock and that's all. A day later my wife and I go out of town for ten days and come back to a pool down about three inches and green, below the first step, just barely has water going in the skimmer and the pump and filter has water pouring out of the filter. Our pump is running but almost sucking air. The heater shows "flow" because water isn't making it to the heater. I quickly turn off the pump and put a hose in the pool to bring the level up. Monday morning I called them when they opened and shared what happened. I was asked 50 questions again, "Was this happening when they opened the pool?" I'll admit, I snapped. I said, "Well, when I pay $500 I expect it to be done right so I didn't even look and inspect it. I don't know what I'm looking for." She tells me they're sending Patrick out to fix it. That afternoon Patrick and another gentleman arrive who were both good. We shared with them again what happened and they were shocked when Patrick looked at the filter. They didn't put the O-ring in the filter and botched the whole job. My wife told them, "Just act like it wasn't opened." They shocked and vacuumed the pool. In fairness, those guys did a good job, which is a shame because I may still be a customer if I had them from the start. I've done research and there are plenty of other pool companies out there. I'll take my chances and look for a better, more local pool service. What you pay doesn't match what you get here. I'd give them zero stars if I could but I guess they deserve the 1 star as the last crew redeemed them a tad. Good luck if you hire Aqua Pool. read more

Had a number of issues with awful communication and poor customer service and would not recommend anyone go with this company. Our pool may look nice but for the amount of money we paid we don't trust this company at all with how they treated us! We have a 30+ year old gunite pool that was built by AP+P. We have used the service department on several occasions for pool openings and leak detection - A+ work. Their leak detection service team found our leak in 15 minutes after I had paid a local pool person $300.00 and he couldn't find it..... We currently use them for weekly water tests and chemical purchases. While you might be able to purchase the chemicals elsewhere cheaper, you won't get the same knowledgeable people recommending what to purchase. I have never felt I have been "over sold" read more

We had a fantastic experience with Aqua pool and patio. They started ontime and completed ontime. The process was exactly as they explained in their book. Our backyard is gorgeous!!! Additionally, the other contractors they recommended (Dumaine landscape design, EAQuinn patio and landscapers, RLI lighting, Atlas fence) were all 5 stars too! We enjoyed our pool until November last year until we reluctantly closed it for the season...and can't wait until May to open for the season! read more

Aqua pool built out pool and everything went as expected! We could not have been happier with the installation and start up. Dave explained everything and took the time with me to explain. But in the coming years the customer service has been poor. Communication between themselves and to the customer is horrible. They obviously cater to the weekly pool accounts and fit everything else in. Every spring they are overwhelmed with the amount of work and I am still waiting for work to be done. There is a lot to consider when building a pool, and having multiple pool companies come out and provide estimates and their ideas for the pool - Aqua Pool was just the standout choice. From how they answered every question, and communicated effectively along the way; the entire process was perfect! The end result was an amazing pool that my family will enjoy for a very long time. Most pool companies try to sell you, Aqua pool informs and educates you and makes sure you completely understand everything before they even begin digging the hole. Nothing was left to figure our later. Other companies couldn't offer that. Aqua knew how to build the pool, and we got the sense from other companies they wanted to figure it out as they went along. From the sales office to the construction foreman we couldn't be happier. Are they more expensive then others... sure - but for an investment like this don't you want it done right and done with perfection! My pool cracked in half after one year. They replaced my spa seats and wall and stairs to the pool put it all back together and then everything started falling apart 6 months later when we opened up the pool they strung me around for years telling me they look at it in the fall then in the spring and now they refuse to call me back answer emails they block me from reviewing them and my pool is recracking in the same spot and because it's not leaking they refuse to do anything about it the tile and coping are falling into the water faster than I can pick them up read more

I work with many companies and this company is the worst!!! More abominable is that they are heartless. I called them to close my pool and gave them all the details to do the job correctly. I spoke with several of their staff for two weeks prior to ensure that they were clear about what needed to be brought and done because I also scheduled the closing on the one day I was able to take off work. Plus, I had to travel for several days and leaves would fill up the pool. Plus, other companies' appointments were filling up. So the pool closing was timed precisely for many important reasons. I was told that the team would call or text 30 minutes prior to arriving. They did not. I was outside when the team just showed up. I tried to discuss the pool closing with the team to ensure they had been briefed correctly, but they just starting pumping out the water. I kept trying to explain what I had discussed with their office but they were already in the pool room switching everything around. I finally got them to understand that they needed to plug the returns on the bottom of the pool. They stopped everything and started packing up. We called their office and I explained the urgent nature of the closing timing (a family member was also admitted to ICU so I had to focus on her going forward, not pools issues). Jen and Deb actually said "You just have to wait". No apology, no explanation of how they would fix what they were causing. I tried to explain that the pool was half-closed, but I had to make decisions right away -- either have their guys re-fill hundreds of gallons of water, put everything back together etc or leave everything if they could get someone today, so I could get to the Intensive Care Unit. A man got on the phone and told me to find another company to close my pool. I asked his name but he knew how awful and mean he was being so he refused to even identify himself. I was in tears and explained I just need some sort of details. They refused and he hung up on me. His team left, leaving me stranded. They should be truly ashamed of themselves. This is egregious. In my view, they should not be allowed to be in business since there is such incompetency and absolutely no concern for the customer. read more

I have never written a review before. If I could give zero stars I would. I made a $7,000 deposit for a pool with Aqua Pool & Patio on April 28, 2018. The permit for the pool was denied by the town because Aqua Pool's measurements were completely off and the pool was not 25 feet from the septic. Since the pool couldn't be built we requested a refund on May 15. The salesman called and kept trying to sell us a new pool and we demanded our deposit back. Finally the salesman said that the full deposit would be returned since they couldn't build the pool as described in the contract. On June 5th I received a letter from Aqua Pool stating that they were keeping $2,664.56 of my deposit for fees such as: setting up my account in the accounting and construction department, contacting Call Before You Dig (even though the permit to dig was never granted), a meeting with their salesman and new design sketches, which I never requested or approved or was told there would be any charge for. The letter mentions onsite meetings at my home, after I signed the contract there was only one time an Aqua Pool employee came to my home. Aqua Pool & Patio never even put a shovel in the ground and took a $7,000 deposit for a pool that the town says can not be built and is refusing to refund my $7,000 deposit. read more

We chose Aqua Pool based on the recommendation of friends who used them previously. All three pools were beautiful and unique in design and fit the landscape of the properties. Our pool required building a high retaining wall and incorporating a safety cover while allowing maximum use of the pool for games, sunning and a hot tub. As with many things custom built, there are bound to be items to be revised or corrected. Mike worked closely with us to make sure that we were satisfied. The pool is stunning and functional! Debbie and Dave and their teams are what make Aqua Pool our preferred pool service company. They understand what true customer service is and are professional, timely, and courteous. If the answer isn't immediately known, they look to find the best possible solution. It is pleasure to talk with them especially when a repair is needed. We had read some bad reviews on line but thought we would stop in anyway since it was close. Boy, were they right. What an arrogant jerk. We wanted an in ground hot tub with a small personal pool attached and when we told him we would draw a sketch to show him what we had and would need help in the design he said, "No, I don't want to see a sketch, I don't care". When I told my wife I think we should go because I don't think we would get the help we needed. He said, "Yes, Goodbye!" and left. I can't believe someone would be so rude to his customers. I guess it will be worth traveling a little further to get some appropriate customer service. read more
