I was looking to install a hot tub at my house so I decided to check them out. I agree with many of the reviews listed here. They carry a couple brands of hot tubs. Only a couple tubs were running. I ended up going to the Great Escape and got a Bullfrog hot tub which offered more options at a better value. Their prices are high. I dealt with an older gentleman who I think just tries to sell hot tubs in his retirement. They certainly don't get up from where they sit to help you out. I felt like I was an inconvenience. To be honest, I don't think they care if they sell a hot tub to you or not. Seems like most of the time all their service trucks are sitting in the parking lot not doing anything. I have a feeling business isn't as good as they lead you to believe. Great Escape gave me 25% off for a fall sale. Couldn't beat that! read more

Needing service on my hot tub, one that I bought from them, required 5 phone calls. I was told they would call back and they never did. Then I was told that they couldn't "talk right now." Then I was told then when a service date "opened up", they would call me. The call never came. Who does business like this? I did see their trucks draining pools in a nearby wealthy community so I guess there is time for some. My hot tub is old and I was planning to buy from them again but not now. We just bought a house with an older hot tub. We had NO idea how to use it, or if it even worked. We called Aqua Pool and Spa Pros, because they were close to us, and had good reviews. Jack was fantastic! He spent a lot of time showing me how everything worked, and walking me through the basics of chemical use. Fixed the problem and helped do it economically and had some great tips to keep the life of the hot tub going. Was able to answer questions and cleaned up after himself unlike so many service people. overpriced!!!!! This place is kind of a joke. I was looking for a new spa and as always would prefer to buy local. (If comparable in price/service). I had looked online and had a good idea of what I was interested in and what my budget would be. When I walked in the door the entire place smelled like cat urine? No idea why. I was ignored for at least 10 minutes, which was "kind of" okay because it gave me time to look around. They had "maybe" 7 or 8 hot tubs/spas on display. Only two were filled. None of them really had the features I was looking for. When the older gentleman was done ignoring me he was pleasant until I told him I had been looking online and explained what I was looking for. He quickly replied "Everything you are looking at online is made in China". Um- okay??? not really. If it works well and is within my budget I am okay with that. (as I explained) which seemed to really irritate him. Every single spa on display that was even REMOTELY close to what I wanted was at least LITERALLY twice the price I was looking at on line. (at Costco). He told me they were going on sale in a week. I asked if he know what the sale price would be and he quoted $500.00 off (so still almost twice as much) I asked if I purchase a spa elsewhere if they do weekly or monthly water treatments? or installation? his reply was "Nope. I have a crew of 8 trucks and they are booked solid" (as I look in the parking lot and there are about 6 of his 8 trucks there and it is 2 pm) The attitude changed so much once I had said I looked elsewhere that it has deterred me from even buying chemicals there as I had for the past 5+years. I ended up going to the Great Escape and got exactly what I was looking for for the price I wanted to pay. I guess it is sad that the little guys don't always win, but with a bad attitude and no customer service it is hard to see how they possible could? read more

I was extremely disappointed with Aqua Pool And Spas ability to help me with a issue I experienced this year. I normally purchase my pool chemicals and parts on line but when I experienced problems with my pool filter and Aqua Pool And Spa had the parts in stock I purchased the parts at a premium price compared to a on line suppliers paid 200 for 50 dollars worth of parts and ask they check my water while I was there because it was cloudy. They also quoted me 275 dollars for and new pump head because the gasket was not available funny I don't own a pool store but once I got home I found 3 suppliers on the Internet who had the not available gasket in stock price varied between 13 and 28 dollars and it was installed within 3 days.! Based on their recommendations over a 4 week period I spent 200 dollars on chemicals most of which I had already on hand for the whole year! Some purchased off their shielf, not normal maintenance chemicals I keep on hand Long story short I walk in the store upset because the quality of my water only got worse after filter repairs and following their recommendations, I believe the women I spoke with that day was actually one of the owners and one would think great my issues are finally getting resolved wow was I wrong! I was advised that who ever tested my water the last five times must have missed my problem every time! I was also advised because my purchase history for chemicals was limited there was nothing she could do and rather then attempting to calm me down she walked away. I thanked the counter assistent and advised him this is the last time you will ever see me in your store. Thanks to Great Escape for testing my water, making the necessary recommendation a few simple chemicals ive got crystal clear water in less then 5 day improvements in water quality were noticed daily after following their recommendations. Why would anyone think advising a customer you didn't spend enough money with us help with a already upset consumer? read more

We bought our hot tub from another local dealer because they carried the brand name we wanted. However, that company's customer service at the store was beyond terrible; their version of a water test was having me bring a sample in, they dipped a test strip in it, looked at it and said 'you're fine', which wasn't at all helpful or accurate. Then I stopped by Aqua Pool to discuss water issues I was having. Without even having sold me the tub they ran an extremely thorough water test, gave me advice, and never even tried to sell me on their products. Karol greets me by name every time I stop in, and I'm now a loyal customer. I recommend them to everyone I know who has either a pool or spa. Kudos for the great service. read more

We moved to the area three years ago and did mountains of research in hopes of finding an honest hard working crew to maintain our above ground pool. We had high hopes of finding a reputable, honest company to service our outdoor needs. What we encountered was lackluster, inconsistent work habits and overpriced billing. We chose to use our own pool chemicals and were told there would be a "service fee" if we did not buy directly from them.
