The tricky part was getting this out of a window as it would not fit out the patio door...but that's the way it went in, that's the way it's coming out. The 4 of us tried, spent about an hour trying to lift this 730 pound hot tub and try to get it to the window ledge...it was not going to happen. After some quick googling I came across Two Guys and a Spa Dolly. In a matter of a few text messages detailing the hottub make and model, pictures of the pickup and drop off location, the appointment was set. The next day, I was extremely pleased with the punctuality, friendliness, and know how. It was great to see what an A squad really looks like, and they did it with 3! For 4 months we were trying to find out when the pillows would arrive. Now they have ghosted us and do not return or answer any calls, emails or texts. They were able to load it on the trailer drive it to the new location switch it to the side to get down a narrow passageway, then use a air pillow to drop it down and place it into the new patio. 3 men and a women. These guys moved a hot tub from one town to the next in July of 2022. They were very attentive and careful, and did a good job. Overall they took good care of the tub. There was one small area of cosmetic damage where a rope rubbed against the outside edge of the tub, but overall it showed up in good shape and ready for my electrician to wire up. Got a quote from Jim to move a hot tub within our town. About 3 miles apart He tells me it will be $350-$450, probably on the low side.. He was very nice on the phone. He tells me I need to contact his wife to get on the schedule so I start texting Anne/Anna. She puts me on the schedule for a week later and tells me it's going to be $650. I explain to her that Jim told me it was going to be $350-$450 so she says she will honor Jim's price of $450. Keep in mind that I have someone patiently waiting for us to pick up this hot tub from their house. The morning of pick up they call me and say they're having truck problems and can't come. I'm not angry by any means, just disappointed because the person I'm supposed to pick up from has been waiting. I tell them 2 guys and a spa dolly that I need to check and see if the person will hold it for me. Jim and Anna/Anne confirm that they can do it Thursday. So I get confirmation from the seller that they will hold it. So I call Jim and leave a message. I text Anna/Anne and tell her that it's fine and to please give me a time frame for Thursday. No response. So I call a few times throughout the day, no answer and voicemail is full. I leave a voicemail on Jim's phone, no call back. How unprofessional! We patiently waited for our appointment. They cancel the day of and then offer another day which we accept and then they just stop communicating? Turns out this is a common tactic with this company. We had to hire someone else and they were well aware of the price low, and "if they get to it, they get to it tactics" of 2 guys and a Spa Dolly. This company WASTED MY TIME! So many texts and photos sent to show pick up and drop off location, for what? To be blown off? They have their reviews turned off on another social media website and it's not surprising to me. They came highly recommended but I absolutely promise that anytime I see someone asking for this service I'm going to tell them how unprofessional Jim and Anna/Anne were and I'll refer them to this review. The person we were getting our hot tub from also needed movers for the new one they were getting. They were fully aware of this company's poor service, too. I'm a totally flexible and polite person. BEFORE you do business with Jim & Anna, do your research. Better Business Bureau rates them as "F" for failure to respond to complaints. Do not rely on their website for reviews. Do your research. I wish I hadn't taken their rave reviews on their website at face value. They say 5 stars all over but if you go to YELP and Google, you will see a different story. We paid them for a hot tub 7 months ago and they never delivered it. Months of stories & excuses on why they can't get it delivered. After going to their shop accompanied by the Will County Sheriff's department, we got them to pay us a small amount back but still owe us several thousand dollars. Their story now is that they don't have the money to pay us yet Anna is still selling refurbished hot tubs on Facebook. They no longer respond to texts or calls which has forced us to start legal action in small claims court. This has been a terrible experience for us and would recommend avoiding this company. At the very least, don't pay them until the service or product has been completed to your satisfaction. read more

UPDATED REVIEW: The company responded on 6.22.2023 to my initial review. They said they did not charge us for the move from WI to Chicago. They did. The charge was modified from $750 for the move to $600 if we paid in cash. This was paid when the hot tub was delivered to it's destination in Chicago (sadly I was not there to inspect it). We were told we would received a paid invoice from the workers, which we did not-so there is no record of this transaction. Payment set aside, my father-in-law does not argue, he is the kindest man and very quiet. He made an observational comment that the first movers kept the cover on the hot tub during the move. The first move was done in a residential neighborhood in 25 mph areas, not out of state on the highway which we hired this company to do. I love my FIL dearly and this accusation of his character is truly the most upsetting to me. This company admitted fault after learning their employees did not follow protocol and "worked" with us to get us a replacement lid (see screen shot of message from my phone from January-a month after the initial move). They kept making promises to replace the cover or refund us...and never delivering, until they stopped responding altogether; which is why I wrote the first review. Jim, the husband, said he would come to our house on multiple occasions to deliver a new cover, which he never did (not fun waiting at home on a weekend for someone who repeatedly never shows up). I never heard from them since my first review until they responded on 6.22.2023, which is why I am updating this response with screen shots as proof showing they were "trying" to make it right, only to never be heard from again. FIRST REVIEW February of 2023. We utilized this company to move our hot tub. They damaged our hot tub in the move. We have pictures to support our claim and the owners admitted their crew did mess up and not follow protocol. Anna and Jim said they would pay for the repairs and were very responsive and nice about it, up until now (it has been a couple months and our patience is finished). They no longer respond to our calls or messages. They only take payment via cash or zelle, so you can't contest with a credit card company. They were quick to schedule a date to move our spa (less than a week notice), but not good about any follow-up once they are paid. They have so many excuses (like what others have mentioned). I called Anna to get our hot tub removed over in Carol Stream, and it was scheduled for about a week later. Jim and his guys called ahead to say they would be early and they arrived right when they said they would. Update---- After being contacted by this company in which they said they would like to address my complaint. they then post the comment blaming the customer. Just to clarify the original quote was for 350 to 450 including pipes to rest the spa on till our pad could be installed. When I called to schedule it I was told no pipes and the price would be 450 for 9 mile move and, the date for the move was their choice not mine. I had cancel my Labor day plans for them since they gave me a window for the delivery of 12 - 5 pm on Labor Day. My complaint is with how the owner's Wife who decided the price and the date. She was clipped almost to the point of being rude. I believe she was the one that wrote the reply saying I'm wrong about being able to say i'm unhappy about the price when I had talked to the owner and was told something different. They advised that we were their first appointment, and they'd be on location around 10am. We waited around until 1pm, still a no show. We called the cell number and the office number countless times. We left several messages, yet we received no return phone call. These people are totally unprofessional. Day of move they never showed up and I called them and they said they would be out first thing the next day. Well that day was our closing day on our house and we had to be out by 10am. Hi - please do not use this company. I feel bad writing terrible reviews but we did get the run around from this company. Here is a breakdown of the story: I called them on Monday 6/13 and spoke with Anna. She gave us a quote to move a small (78 inch round) hot tub less than 15 miles. the quote was about $50 less than other movers and Anna mentioned they could move it that Friday. I spoke with my husband and called her back the next day agreeing to the price and she confirmed the Friday move. On Tuesday or Wednesday they called my husband saying that Friday would now not work for them and that they would try to deliver the evening before (Thursday evening) otherwise it would be early Saturday morning. Thursday evening was a no show. On Saturday we waited for them, and waited, finally they called my father to say the truck broke down and they were trying to fix it and would get back to us. Several hours later we were told they were not coming. But they offered to waive their fee if we would move our date to Tuesday. Tuesday was a no show. When my father tried to contact them, they did not pick up his calls. So I called from a different number and they picked up on the second ring. The gentlemen said they were on the way back from Pontiac and would have an ETA for me in the next 30 min. They did not call back for two hours. When I did hear from them they asked to move our time to between 8-9 am Wednesday morning. Wednesday morning was a no show. They called and spoke to my father, who was by now understandably upset. They left a message at my work stating that I should deal with my father and implying that they were waiving the fee so we should not be upset. When I spoke to my father he said that the reason given this time was that it had rained this morning (and could possibly rain sometime later this afternoon) and the movers were uncomfortable working on wet grass. When my father mentioned that the tub was on his driveway, they told him they would not move it but would call back in 30 min after checking on the weather again. They have not called back. Cons: - Hot tub is still in the same place it started. - I now have wasted almost 10 days and have to engage another company to move it. Pros - They seemed like nice people when we started - I have learned to look at reviews on Yelp prior to hiring someone as this company has had similar issues with other clients - I have also learned that saving $50 is not worth this much frustration. For those of you looking for another company after reading this review I understand American Sales does the same thing. Update: I understand someone from this company posted below that there delay may have had to do with multiple deaths in the family. Grief is a hard thing and grief over multiple family members would have to be even more so. Obviously if someone had actually experienced a death we would have been happy to accommodate a schedule change or two. However, You can see from the outline of the communication above that no death in the family was ever mentioned as a reason for delay at any point. In fact, when speaking with employees they stressed schedule conflicts and broken trucks. When someone tells you that they have had a loss, your first instinct is to believe and comfort them, In this case, however, explaining it a month later, having told us at the time that the truck broke down, having used weather as an excuse on a clear day, having told us repeatedly that they would come only to not show up with no notice, having dodged phone calls, having made promises again and again and failed at them. After setting a deliver date, I had to re-schedule our delivery. At this call I learned Dynasty Direct Spas LL C. was no longer a client of "2 Guys and a Spa Dolly" and was told to contact Dynasty Direct Spas, LL C. for their new delivery company. After numerous problems with Dynasty Direct Spas, LL C. and their "replacement" recommendation, plus costing three times over the initial quoted fee, we contacted " 2 Guys and a Spa Dolly" to see if they were available to deliver our spa. At no time were they unreachable; always acting in a professional manner. Both Anna and Jim were most helpful in explaining what they needed from this client and what they were were able to do. We felt very comfortable and decided to proceed with our delivery; using "2 Guys and a Spa Dolly". During the two week period from scheduling to delivery, communication was easy and detailed. The day prior to delivery, confirmation was made and we were comfortable we had made a good decision to use their services. On the delivery date, the company showed up on time. The staff was very professional and this client was more than satisfied with their services and work, happy we hired "2 Guys and a Spa Dolly". I know this client had no problems contacting the company, having calls returned and receiving great service in a timely manner.
