According to the invoice, the remaining labor balance was not due until the installation was completed. After taking my money, the owner, Genaro Cruz, repeatedly told me through text messages that he had my pool and that he would be coming to install it. Over the following months, I received numerous promises with scheduled installation dates, but each time he either failed to show up or canceled at the last minute. Eventually, he stopped responding to my calls and text messages altogether. As of today, nearly a year later: No pool has been delivered. No installation has been completed. No refund has been provided. I have kept the invoice, proof of payment, and extensive text message history documenting the repeated promises and missed appointments. I gave this company every opportunity to make things right before posting this review, but after months of excuses and being completely ignored, I feel other homeowners should be aware of my experience. I am now pursuing legal remedies to recover my money. If you are considering hiring Happy Pools and Spa, I encourage you to do your own research and proceed with extreme caution.

Rolando was the service man who came out and he was excellent! He drained, cleaned and filled the tub and allowed me to watch how he did every step and explained the entire process. We inherited the hot tub when we purchased the house this summer and hadn't used it yet. He was so thorough and we appreciated his knowledge and friendliness to answer all of our questions, as well as explain the chemicals we would need to maintain the tub. Follow-up wasn't great. Pool went in at the end of fall. Workers through a tarp on a left dirt and rocks for the spring. I had to call several times for them to come open it, then they workers complained about how the pool was left. Eventually it got done but a sticky residue was left at the water line. They sent someone out to clean it but he gave up and said it would wear off. They are also some minor scratches I asked about but the office manager ignored my email. Also when using a chalk line to mark out the cover mounting holes in the concrete they used red chalk which is permanent. Blue chalk washes off. Now I have a faint red line around my pool. No one ever explained how to run or operate the system. I had to figure it out myself. Basically, good initial work but no follow-up. Once they get your money they are done.

They were given preauthorization up until a certain amount and because we asked them to fix something, they charged the amount to fix it without any kind of authorization or discussion about what it took to fix and how much it would cost. Communication was for the most part non-existent, a response to an email regarding the preauthorization took approximately a month to respond. The only reason that it was even responded to was because of our cancellation for their bad service.
