If I could give zero stars I would. Initially Ed was helpful although very shady in his sales tactics. Kept calling his "boss" to get approval on everything and was very pushy trying to close the deal immediately. Fine but after that it all went downhill. I put down a deposit but after reading the reviews on installation and service I decided to cancel my order. I couldn't get a hold of anyone and when I did, they kept passing me off and no one would confirm it was cancelled and that I'd get my deposit back. After a few weeks of trying, I finally got ahold of Rameka (sp, AP person) who proceeded to blamed me saying they couldn't get a hold of me. What a joke. This whole operation is shady and untrustworthy. I didn't even complete the purchase as the service was horrible. Can't imagine how bad it would be if I actually needed post installation support! Update: a few minutes after posting this the "owner" called me yelling about the review. He was extremely rude, blamed me for the issues and that he had the review removed (which he can't). All I wanted was my deposit back after cancelling the order, but they tried to make it impossible. My recommendation is NOT to do business with this group. read more

We've been shopping for spas. We've visited Spa Palace and Spa Brokers. Both stores were bright, clean and warm, Aqua Spa store was dark, cold, and the carpet was very stained. The sales man played the good cop - bad cop sales scheme by calling the " Owner " and asking for special pricing, if we bought on the spot. While i was waiting for the show to end, i glanced at Yelp and read all the horrendous reviews, and knew we would NEVER buy from them. We went to one of the other stores and heard that Aqua Spas, FILED FOR CHAPTER 11. Evidently they are not paying their creditors. We verified it on Google and feel like we dodged a bullet. read more

BUYER BEWARE - AVOID AQUA SPAS IN COLORADO AT ALL COSTS DO NOT PURCHASE A SPA FROM ANY AQUA SPAS LOCATION IN COLORADO. All of these locations are owned by the same individual -- Matt Davis -- and my experience with both him and this company has been nothing short of a nightmare. If you're considering investing in a hot tub, please read my story first and think twice. I purchased a Michael Phelps Legend Series 800 spa from the Castle Rock, CO location in January 2019, and from day one, I've faced issue after issue. Their so-called "customer service" has been dismissive, inconsistent, and in some cases, outright hostile. Ongoing Issues Include: Warranty repairs required upfront payment just to have a technician come out -- because I live in Elizabeth and their only service center is based in Fort Collins. In winter 2024, my spa heater failed. The technician who came out damaged the hot tub further by forcing the front panel, breaking slats and damaging exterior panels. He took pictures and assured me it would be handled. It never was. After weeks of silence, I had to chase down responses myself. I was told replacement panels would be put on a truck. They never showed up. After giving up, I reached out again on 5/14/25, speaking directly to Matt Davis, who identified himself as the owner of all the Aqua Spa locations in Colorado and who claimed he'd personally handle it. I sent him photos as requested. A week later, I received four incorrect corner panels in the wrong color (brown instead of black). I called Matt Davis to alert him of the error -- he made more empty promises. I followed up repeatedly with no response. When I finally got him on the phone on 5/30/25, he blamed the manufacturer and told me to "be patient." He promised to send emails as proof of his outreach but never did. By 6/3/25, I couldn't even leave him a voicemail because his mailbox was full. When I finally got someone on the line at Aqua Spas, I was given the direct number for Master Spas (1-800-860-7727). What Master Spas Told Me: When I spoke to a rep named Noah, he confirmed that the only record Master Spas had was from my call on 5/14/25 to Matt and his email to them, which included the photos I sent Matt. According to Noah, no other follow-ups, orders, or communications had been received from Aqua Spas or Matt here in Colorado. In other words, Matt Davis lied to me repeatedly and never attempted to resolve the issue. Noah apologized and said he would escalate the concern -- but Aqua Spas remains an authorized seller, which is beyond frustrating. What Happened Next: On 6/4/25, after multiple ignored calls, I reached Matt Davis at the Castle Rock store. As soon as I identified myself, he claimed to be "with customers" and hung up. When I called back, the conversation became heated. Matt threatened me by stating the call was recorded and claimed I was "harassing" him, even though all I wanted was the help he promised to provide. He then called me back again, claiming to be an attorney (which I have serious doubts about), and shockingly called me "WHITE TRASH." I reminded him that my last name is Ortiz, to which he had no response -- clearly, the insult was meant to provoke. The situation escalated further when he called my wife, mistakenly thinking she was my employer, and tried to drag her into the situation, even referencing a call to the sheriff's department. Final Thoughts: I have never in my life encountered such an appalling mix of incompetence, dishonesty, and verbal abuse from any business -- let alone from the owner. If you are considering purchasing a hot tub, do not do business with Aqua Spas in Castle Rock, Fort Collins, Pueblo, or any other Colorado location owned by Matt Davis. Their customer reviews online echo the same complaints I experienced -- this is not an isolated incident. I will be following up with Master Spas directly to report this behavior and strongly urge them to re-evaluate their relationship with Aqua Spas. We have had our hot tub for 5 years. We just ordered a new cover because the sun at our altitude is death on hot tub covers. It was supposed to be delivered Monday, 18 August. Never made it. My husband waited all day. No one showed. Today he went to the store in Castle Rock and they assured him it was being loaded on the truck in Ft Collins. I waited at home all day. No hot tub cover ever showed up. I feel we should charge for time waited. We also paid for delivery and to have the old cover removed but when the cover arrived, they wanted us to come pick it up. There seems to be a management problem. We have been in for supplies and they aren't always in stock....the most recent was a filter. If you're going to sell a product that requires parts and supplies now and then, you need to keep a supply on hand. And you need to reply to messages and show up when you say you will. The owner even said he would deliver it but he didn't make it either. I would fire him. read more

I do not recommend this company in Castle Rock, CO. Their service, after purchase is horrible! I have owned my tub for only 4 years and have had 4 broken jets. When I try to get warranty work done, it is a NIGHTMARE! I am ignored, told the parts are on backorder, I need to call multiple times for any help. I am told I need to pay the shipping on get me the parts and then, unless I want to pay for a service call, I must do the repair myself. This last time, I paid for the shipping of the part, they sent me the wrong part, and then I was told I would need to pay for the shipping to send the incorrect part back to them! ABSURD! Do not buy from Aqua Spas. like the other reviews, when they are taking your money the service is great. when it's time to deliver and show customer ser ie it's terrible. I bought a brand new hot tub and Covana for a 26,6k and when the hot tub finally arrived it was damaged, the panel was damaged, the sides were damaged, there were nicks on it, my shade was missing, the corners were bent and the jets aren't working. I did not get the aqua school as they promised. they were scheduled to come 5 times to fix everything and the first 4 times they left with all the problems still in place. On the 5th time they never showed up, didn't call, didn't respond to my calls or text. I am writing this waiting on hold to see what is going on. Went to the store looking for a replacement filter and what I got was a completely rude, arrogant, in your face attitude of "I'm a brick and mortar, I know you can get stuff cheaper but thanks for coming in." The filter in question was twice as much as anywhere else I went to and anywhere else I called. The employee never made eye contact and no sense of customer service and really didn't give a darn whether I was there to buy something or not. I walked in with a filter and told him what I needed and he said make sure you check it out before you buy it see if that's the right one. He told me the price and I said oh no that's ridiculous. The filter I needed had a inventory code on it and he could have told me over the phone that he had it in when I asked. When I went to the store it was right there behind the counter and I had to check the inventory number. I found out it was a knock off to my Coleman hot tub. I was looking for a Unicel filter and it would have taken him one minutes for him to tell me he had a similar one. He never made an attempt to tell me he had one he just told me I had to come in and look at it. Plus the one he tried to sell me was a stinking knock off for twice the price. I went here because it was close, in Castle Rock where I live! I try to keeping business in Castle Rock! He never made any effort while on the phone whether he had a filter matching it or not he just told me to come in. DO NOT GO TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT IT IS A RIP OFF. We bought a hot tub from Aqua Spa at the Colorado Home Show because we had been thinking about it fir a while, and we thought they were offering a good price. It turns out they were selling us a very cheap hot tub. When it started tripping the breaker, we inquired about the electrician they had provided to install the breaker. They told us they could not reach their electrician and that we needed to find our own, it wasn't their problem. We found an electrician to look at everything, and found that it was the hot tub, which was just over a year old, that was not working. The mother board, which we later found was now obsolete, was completely fried and needed to be replaced. We also realized that our warranty was only one year on the hot tub. It seems that we were sold an old hot tub with a warranty to fit. That was why we were getting a "good deal". I would never recommend dealing with this company, and if you're going to buy a hot tub, do your homework. read more

I bought my store in Evergreen, Colorado. Danielle is a great sales person and I was very happy when I left the store. However Danielle's follow-up was terrible! She looked for one person to crane in the spa and gave up. I left her a message and she did not call back and when I called back 2 weeks later she said her phone had been broken. I asked to speak with the spa owner Matt and she said he was at another show and could not be reached. I asked her for his phone number and she refused, she replied we will do a 3 way call. Out of desperation I called the Castle Rock Store and I was told Matt could not be reached because he was at his father's. I asked to speak with some and they connected me to Casey and I was told him that he was a co-owner, when the spa was delivered I discovered he worked in the deliver department and was not a co-owner. When I spoke with Casey I wanted to cancel the order, due to all these problems. He became very aggressive on the phone and told me that he would take me to court and win. I told him it was Delivery fraud and he said it's your spa, your name is on it. Upon delivery of the spa it was delivered with dirty water and a dirty filter. They only brought one filter, the crew were nice, however cigarette butts were left all over my property, I live in a fire danger area. I spoke with Matt regarding the delivery and requested a filter, he apologized and ensured that the filter would be delivered in 3 days . I again spoke with office and told he was out of town. I asked her to send filter out and she said she had to talk with Matt, she confirmed that it had never been ordered. I spoke with Matt and he apologized again. According to Matt I will get my filter in a few days at this point I hope he follows through. I ordered my spa in the spring and got it last week. They just kept dropping the ball. We bought a spa from here in January 2019. They missed their delivery date by a couple weeks. Then within 3 months of having it the silver looking waterfall features began to rust. We only used and bought the chemicals from Aqua Spas. After many calls to the warranty/service departments they finally sent someone out. They're replaced those two parts but didn't replace the hot tub cover which absorbed the rust from the faulty part. Within one month after the correction the exact same rusty marks on the fake metal waterfall spots did it again. We have had many calls and no response from Aqua Spas to correct this issue. This was the worse $15,000 I've ever spent. Save yourself and your money and go buy a spa from a more reputable company. I wish google would allow me to upload the pictures for you to see. It's not a little rust, it's so much we have to clean the hot tub each use to remove the rust like scum from the inner bowl of the white hot tub. They also didn't deliver a filter with the hot tub and so I had to drive up to castle rock to pick up the filter. They had me put down a $100 deposit on an electronic cover stating they wouldn't charge it and only is I called them to move forward. Aqua Spas is a horrible company. The process of buying was great, and then the problems ensued. My husband and I purchased a Twilight Master Spa hot tub in march of 2018. The hot tub was installed on May 24,2018. My husband then was diagnosed with two different types of cancer, eventually losing his battle with this disease and passed away in November of 2019. I tell you this only because my husband wanted me to have this hot tub because of his great love and care for me, since I have fibromyalgia. I have had to care for the hot tub solely on my own and have been so frustrated as I have had nothing but problems with this hot tub. This jets directing the spray have continued to pop out and have to be repeatedly replaced. I have also had at least 2 major leaks in the plumbing system, that I have had to have repaired, also paying a $150. Trip charge each time they came out. Now one of the pumps has gone out. Again the dealer, service department is asking me to pay a trip charge to come out and repair it. I don't understand how this can be fair, when it's a warranty issue. I'm so frustrated that my husband and I paid over $10,000 for this piece of junk! And its less than 3 years old and having so many issues! I contacted Master Spas in Indiana and they said that it could just be repaired. I asked about a whole new tub because of the repeated issues that I'm having. The representative said that wasn't possible, it was covered only for the parts and labor. So now to have the issue repaired, I have to pay out of pocket again another trip charge. How many more things do I have to deal with? I just feel like they should stand by their product and make this right. This review is amazingly consistent with the other reviews... I only wish I had read those reviews before stepping into a purchase with them! While I might be an idiot for not reading, this company is completely unethical. I put 10% down ($1300+) for a Covana cover for my spa. The spa installation is recessed into the deck which I made very clear to Martin when we talked about the cover. We made arrangements for the "owner" (aka Rich) to come to the house and verify the installation would work. Rich was pleasant and studied the situation. After a while he determined that the Covana would not work. He tried to describe a modified swimming pool cover that he could "build for me" instead. I asked him to give me a price and send me some more details to my email. A few days later I received a text asking for MORE money for this swimming pool cover. By now I am getting the picture that these guys are unethical. I studied many other options and found several covers on that were similar to the cover Rich was describing for around half the price. I have ordered and received one of those covers. Additionally, I have asked whether my deposit for the Covana would be refunded. I have called, texted and walked in to the store --- and still don't have an answer. I have been told that Rich's wife will call me back after she reviews the contract I signed. I have been told this twice - in person and over the phone. Seriously, we have to read the contract to see if a refund is due for a cover that will not work and was not ordered, delivered or otherwise touched. Yes, the owner came by to review the installation and I would be willing to pay for that trip and the time he took to tell me Covana was not the right cover for me. Stay away from Aqua Spas. This place deserves 0 stars. So many problems. First of all, the sales people lie throughout the sales process. Let's review some of the lies I was told... Lie #1 - They claimed that my spa was practically "maintenance free", and that I would only have to add a tiny amount of chlorine after each use. False. The manual delivered with the spa lists numerous chemicals needed, and I am constantly having to add them to try to keep the water clear, which is next to impossible. You will have to purchase hundreds of dollars in chemicals from them every few months. Lie #2 - They promised me a $100 credit in their store for chemicals and accessories. False. When I went to their store for the first time to pick up some chemicals, I told them I had a $100 credit. They said no, that was used up by the chemicals the delivery guys put in during set up. Really? There is no way the few micro bottles of chemicals they added upon delivery totaled $100. And I shouldn't have been on the hook for that anyway. Lie #3 - They told me that the delivery techs would hook up my electrical (which was already set up from a previous hot tub). False. They told me that they don't touch electrical, and I had to hire an electrician to do it or it would void my warranty. So I had to pay an electrician another $150 to come out and hook up 4 wires. I could probably have overlooked the blatant lying if I received a quality hot tub. But I didn't. It's a piece of garbage. When they opened it up on site, multiple parts were already broken. So the service department had to come out for repairs. Which leads me to my final complaint. Customer service..... Customer service is practically non-existent. The people who answer the phone in their main office in Ft Collins are rude. They talk down to you. They try to blame every problem with the spa on you. And you need a service tech? Good luck with that. Every time they claim that their schedule is so booked up that it will be weeks, or even months before they can get out. And even though my 1 year old hot tub is under warranty, and I paid extra for an extended warranty, they charge you $100 just to send someone out. Here are some of my experiences with them in the first year of ownership... 1) The initial problem where multiple jets and dials were broken. Took a couple of weeks for someone to come "fix" them. They still don't work properly. 2) After the first water change, the breaker would trip every time I tried to turn it back on. Spa completely dead. Called customer service, and they claimed it would be about 6 weeks before someone could come out. After many angry calls with upper management, they were able to move my visit up about 3 weeks. After a few days of sitting dead, I tried the breaker again, and it stayed on, so I canceled the appointment. 3) About a month later, I went out to get in the spa and it was ice cold. No power. The breaker was tripping again. Called the service department, and given the same song and dance about how they were booked solid (which isn't surprising considering that their spas are garbage) and couldn't get out for weeks. Again, after getting angry and lodging complaints, they moved me up to within a week. They charged my $100 for the tech's "travel fee". He showed up and replaced the heater. It still didn't work. He figured that the main board was fried, and he didn't have that part, but it was in Ft Collins. He said that someone would be back out "later next week" to replace it. Really? I paid $100 and still have no working hot tub? And temps are about to drop into the single digits, so it will likely freeze and do even more damage (which the service department manager told me would be MY responsibility). I'm done with this garbage company and it's garbage products and garbage customer service. It's time to talk to an attorney about a lemon law claim so that I can get my money back and be done with this money pit. If you're in the market for a hot tub, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. read more

Only way to lock down the spa we wanted. 4/22/2018 I did the $100. Today is July 4th. No spa, no $100 returned and multiple messages to mike are not returned. Call store talked to Martin who says is manage. Multiple times said would call my husband back and didn't until he threatened to report and call supposed owner/his boss Matt. Multiple times said would have a delivery coordinator call me. None have. Husband cancelled the supposed order that we suspect never was place by mike. No monies returned. My family showed up to the Castle Rock location just wanting to do a little price checking and ask a couple quick questions. We were greeted by an extremely aggressive DOG in the store who was growling, barking and the hair on its back was on end. Store attendant says "ahh... he's friendly, let me know if you need anything" and then proceeded to get on his phone. Dog freaked out again less than a minute later and barked in my 4-year old's face and we chose to leave. Worst customer service I have ever seen. Purchased my spa at the home show (floor model). A few days before the scheduled delivery day, received a call saying they had double sold the spa and mine was being built and would take 2 weeks longer. However, the same model but different color was at another store. I decided to take it. Before the delivery day, visited the store and decided to purchase a Covana (at almost the same price of the spa), in stock at their warehouse. Again before the delivery day, received a call saying it was not in stock and it would take at least 2 months to get in. I canceled the Covana cover. Spa was delivered with a temporary old cover with holes in it. Almost a month had gone by now and after calling and complaining about not having a new cover and an LED not functioning, a service call was set up for today... took a vacation day so someone would be here.... no show... no call.. do not uses this company!!
