You can rent a pavilion for your own little enclave to picnic by bringing your own food and drinks supplemented by CPK pizza, salad, Mac & cheese for the kiddies. Starting to drizzle? Doesn't bother all the people in the pool. You can even purchase shave ice and coffee here. Hot fun in the summer time. This is the life. Hubs chose this venue for his birthday celebration with the grandkiddies. You know the nursery rhyme about Jack n Jill? Don't get me wrong, they have tons of dive gear and will help you find the right gear for what you do and will help you get the right fit, but they also have a huge retail space. It's not crowded and it's easy to see everything. It makes it super comfortable and easy to take your time. They also offer swimming lessons for the super young through adult. And if you want to take a dive class, they offer both technical and recreational classes. The pool is on site too. The parking lot is huge. GPS takes you to the wrong side of the building, so take the road down to Midway and turn from that side. Enter in the first entryway-the others are blocked off.

After working with MJ, he still needs some convincing to get in the water but he is SO much more comfortable and confident swimming. He can use his skills to get safe (turn and find the wall) and can monkey walk for long distances. He can now hold his breath and is getting the hang of kicking and diving for rings. We really can't say enough nice things about MJ. He demeanor is patient and calm and she kept a consistent pace. She met our son's needs and adjusted course when he was struggling with a skill. We love her encouragement and how she also taught my husband and I to reinforce the skills in her sessions. Thanks coach MJ! Charlie still talks about you every day!

Five stars. The Salt Lake Pool is a huge, Olympic sized pool serving the Salt Lake area community…read moreand anyone who wants to utilize it. The hours vary, as it'll depend on the season. For the most part, it's not open in the morning hours, but opens up around lunch time on weekdays and has fragmented afternoon and evening hours. They're only open on Saturday afternoons. New schedule should be coming out soon, so I may update this review. The chlorine is very mild to negligible at the Salt Lake Pool compared to an indoor pool on the Mainland, which made my hair sticky and changed my black shorts to green/gray due to the strong chlorine. I really appreciate the mild chlorine in this pool. Hopefully, it's not due to kids peeing (pardon my French) or the rain water, diluting the pool. However, it's great and I like it. There are storage lockers where you can lock up your personal belonging outside, or not. Also, men's and women's changing/restrooms. Parking is very ample and free. Also, this is a FREE POOL! No fees or dues. Can't beat that!
