Lack of privacy in customer conversations. Always trying to get more $ finding something "wrong". Hard to know who to trust these days.

Where do I start......up until the business was sold recently the service was always amazing, but in the past 1.5 months the quality of service and customer service has quickly disipitated. Missed scheduled appointments, repeated voice messages and emails sent to no avail. Sends me a report stating everything looked great the last time on 8/9 yet my pool looked like a radioactive waste swamp. Shows up on a day not expected and put my filter in backwards leading to green and black algae. The guy didn't sweep the floor or walls, he did NOTHING. Called another company they came right in next day and already the pool looks 100%. New guy put the filter in the right way and gave my pool the white glove treatment and so I fired Aquatec. Horrible service with new owner, it's a shame, the new owner is destroying its good name. read more

Avoid this company. It is a total fraud. They stopped showing up to clean my pool in July and the pool went green. My housewatch service took photos and I called them to terminate their services. They have continued to charge my card $125 a month in August, September and October. The owner keeps telling me it is a bookkeeping error and he will reimburse me and never has. I will be filing a small claim suit against them. They are a total fraud. Avoid them at all costs. read more

The guy who founded Aquatech (Sam H) apparently sold the business to one of his techs (Trevor.) That's when quality issues started. There were no-shows, for which we were not given a credit, and repeated algae blooms. I tracked down Sam on Facebook with a polite message and received a hostile response. I gave Trevor one last chance to get it right, but when algae reappeared less than a week after his last service call, we replaced him. We've had pools in CA and FL since '78 and have never had an algea problem. read more

Really wanted to keep this company because they started out extraordinarily well. Went down hill -not showing up and then billing. I've stated repeatedly "I'm aware of COVID/Staffing issues, if you cant come don't bill me" when I did call they would "find" an email and say they were there. A feature tthey do is a photo after they cleaned. Im thinking there was something going on with that because we work out of our house and are home-no one serviced our pool. Too bad because they did start out six months ago doing a great job-that is the only reason I gave two stars. read more

I think I may have been one of Aquatec's very first customers, and I have been with them ever since. 100% reliable on the weekly date of service - always Thursday P.M. for me, and they have never missed an appointment to my knowledge. They ALWAYS check the chemicals and pH - my previous service was not consistent about that-and Aquatec adds chemical as needed. They spend whatever time is needed to scrub the sides and vacuum. They have new system and they now send an email report within the same day of service, with a pool photo, description of services provided, results of chemical and pH test, and information on any chemicals they added. So you can see that your pool was serviced even if you're away from home. This is the 3rd pool company for me since I moved here, and I'm very happy with this one. read more

I have had negative experiences with two prior pool service companies prior to hiring Sam at Aquatec Pool Service. With the two prior companies, I received very inconsistent service and felt like a number versus a customer. Most importantly, my pool water didn't look clean and appealing, rather it was green with algae for week after week, despite treatment. My experience with Sam and Aquatec has been completely different. Sam personally took on the challenge of converting my pool from a green mess to its current state clean and beautiful state. Since the initial clean-up, Sam has personally kept the pool looking great. Sam has a lot of knowledge and experience with Florida pools. Sam has been responsive, dependable, professional and personable. It is obvious that he takes pride in his work and isn't satisfied himself unless my pool looks great. I am comforted in knowing that I can deal directly with the owner of the company if I ever have a problem. I know that if I call him, he will return my call. I haven't had any problems, but it is good to know that I will be dealt with as a person and customer. I recommend Sam and Aquatec highly. Sam makes you believe he is servicing your pool when you are away. You come back 6 months later and your pool is filthy and some guy you don't even know is out there cleaning your pool. I ask him "Where's Sam?" He states Sam hired him about 6 weeks ago. I cleaned my whole Lenai the day before so the pool was filthy. I asked him about vacuuming and he tells me he doesn't have a vacuum and has been coming the last six weeks and has never vacuumed when agreement was the pool would be vacuumed every other week. I called Sam and he said he has a bag vacuum in his truck. I tell NATE and he goes on the truck to watch a video on how to use it. I then come out to the lanai after he leaves and there's a big hole in my screen above the spa from the vacuum pole. I call Sam and he tells me unless I have it on camera there's nothing he will do about it. He's a young kid trying to start a business and will hopefully learn by his mistakes. read more

I cannot tell you how impressed and grateful I am for Sam and Aquatech! I live in Michigan and must rely quite a bit on honesty when I need home maintenance and repair for our Florida home. Sam has been cleaning our pool for a year now and it has never looked better. He is there each week and sends me a picture of the pool after the cleaning. Beautiful! Let me now tell you how Sam came to my rescue! I had an air conditioning problem and the contractor who came out called me to say that he noticed our pool pump and heater where old and that they were making a loud noise and that the amps where so high it was going to start a fire at any moment and that I needed a new system asap! The man then quoted me $6500 to replace it!!! I was shocked. I immediately called Sam and told him what the man told me. Sam went to the house that day ,yes dropped what he was doing and took the time to go right over and have a look! He then got right back to me with a video of my equipment and let me know it was running better than ever! He could not believe that a company would do something like that and said even if there was a problem $6500 was outrageous for a heater and pump.
