My go-to fish store whenever I need anything to do with my tanks, even if it's just advice. I come here for livestock, food, chemicals, filter supplies, hardware, saltwater, just to look around, and more. The staff is always very friendly and knowledgeable, and gives very helpful advice. Prices are reasonable, and even sometimes negotiable. I have even sold livestock babies to them in exchange for store credit. I recently set up my first large fish tank, a 55-gallon saltwater tank. Aquatic Sealife makes it easy. They have a great live rock selection, I can easily just bring them Lowes buckets to fill up with saltwater for something like 90 cents a gallon, and they have everything else I needed for filtration and more. Not to mention, a beautiful selection of saltwater fishes, including a stunning Blue Caribbean Reef Lobster that's the crown jewel of the tank now. They always have some creature that you'll look at and say, wow, I want to know how to have this. And then all you need to do is ask, and get thoughtful and correct information from the employees. Perhaps the most important part: I have heard employees tell me "I actually don't know" when approached with a question about a fish, and then go speak to someone there who does to find the answer, so you can be sure you won't get incomplete and incorrect information. They have a fantastic assortment but that doesn't matter if you can't get assistance. Over the past couple of months I've been in multiple times and a quick visit is never quick. I usually stand around hoping for help for 20+ minutes. I've asked an older gentleman to help once or twice (possible owner or manager) and get directed back to the same people who can't keep up. I can't tell if it's a staffing issue or maybe the system where the person who helps you has to ring you up is slowing things down but regardless: I want to spend my money here and I can't. read more

They might've gotten a 4 for losing our number, $&!? happens lol, but we can't be more thankful that our new baby arrived safe & healthy this morning. We put in our order yesterday (4/22/21) @ around 5pm, and he/she arrived on our doorstep @ 10am today Customer service was good, and we couldn't be more happy about the shipping and his/her safe arrival. This place has a wide variety of products, freshwater plants, coral, tropical and freshwater fish. The staff was excellent and quickly helped customers with bagging fish/plants. They were also very knowledgeable, and steered me away from purchasing plants that would require CO2 injection (something I would not have known unless they asked me if I had it). This place is awesome. They are following the COVID guidelines which makes me super comfortable shopping there, the selection is OUTRAGEOUS. THEY HAVE EVERYTHING!! The staff is super helpful, knowledgeable and friendly and I really enjoy shopping there. Every time I ever bought coral from these people it died. Hands down they are most expensive fish killers in the game. If you want salt water fish try CORAL CONNECTIONS they sell healthy fish and coral they also will buy your fish from you if you fall on hard times and need to get out of the hobby. If you need freshwater fish and plants go to CAUSEWAY PETS. If you want bad add speciality fresh water fish go to 50 FATHOMS. so what have we learned this place is awful and kills more fish than bonefish grill. They also are scamming yelp with FAKE reviews. This is my go-to LFS lately. They have a great selection of fish, both saltwater and freshwater, as well as tons and tons of coral, freshwater plants, and rocks and wood for decoration. Currently I only have a freshwater set up (I've gotten almost all of my fish from here - dwarf gourami, cherry barbs, cherry shrimp, and some of the largest, most beautiful corydoras I've ever seen!) but that doesn't stop me from wandering over to admire their marine section. Their coral section is without a doubt the most beautiful display I've ever seen and every time I go there I have to talk myself out of spontaneously starting a saltwater tank. I have never gotten a fish from here that was anything less than perfectly healthy and beautiful and nothing has ever died on me that I've purchased here. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and if the person helping me doesn't know the answer to my question they find someone who does. They also have been great about following COVID-19 guidelines which I can't say for many businesses in the area so that's another huge win in my book! The best aquatic store in the New Orleans area. Do not waste your time going anywhere else. The vast selection of aquatic animals paired with their uncompromising level of knowledge and service is astounding. The freshwater department manager and staff offer top tier assistance, and have saved me hundreds of dollars in products and fish. I was close to giving up on my aquarium, but with the help provided by them my tank has completely turned around. Other aquatic stores have dead fish in their tanks, dingy facilities, and unknowledgeable team members. The team at Aquatic Sealife take pride in their work, and provide an incomparable experience. Honestly it's hard to give these guys a good review although I want to... The store is beautiful & the fish they have for the store (not for sale) are amazing... They most definitely do not quarantine their fish when they receive them I was in the store recently whenever they got a shipment, terrible to watch employees put the fish out. I left due to not being able to get any assistance & whenever I came back there were more dead fish than alive.. Sadly I purchase a fish from here & it had ICH which is my first sick fish & idk what to do about it as my entire tank is probably now infected before going here I purchased all my fish at pet co & had no issues now I have big big ich issues. This review is only to let you guys know that you kind of need to pay more attention to what is going on in your store because it seems like you all are failing. Customer service should be first & that comes with selling quality livestock so whomever you're buying your fish from STOP they are Ill. read more

The fish, corals, and plants are very well maintained. The owner told me that he has a 30 day quarantine before any of they will sell any fish, corals, or plants.
