Tip Top Roofing does a 5 star job in terms of quality, value and responsiveness and follow up. They left the site super clean and did a superb job. They were able to assess our roof and what needed to be done and the lifetime of it. In our case it was for insulation though and they were able to insulate our attics very well to help conserve energy and keep the place warmer during winter and cooler during summer. They also helped us replace an extensively damaged flat roof in a very short amount of time. We hired Tip Top Roofing to re-roof our house. They were one of the more responsive companies we contacted. The previous year when we tried to get estimates from several of the highest rated, most reviewed companies, those companies did not respond. We obtained a written estimated, reviewed the materials, and scheduled the job 3 months out. The job started about a week after estimated start time, as there was some adverse weather during the intervening months. Separate crews came to tear off the old roof, deliver materials, and and install the new roof. None of the crews entered our home, a very favorable protocol for security. Wood affected by dry rot was replaced (additional charge based upon inspection after tear off). The rafters affected by dry rot were replaced with the sistering done inside the roof, not exposed outside. Chimney spark arrestors were replaced and adjusted. New gutter screens were installed. A ridgeline vent was added. Under eave vents were added. Some of the additions were painted, but we will have to paint the others. The work went quickly once it started, without non-work days, until finished, another excellent point. We are very satisfied. This roof is guaranteed for at least 20 years, and may may last longer. The color is acceptable, we picked from the current CertainTeed choices. read more

I had a leak from what I thought was a bad head-wall flashing between the second story vertical wall and the roof over the garage. I had a Certainteed Presidential TL roof installed by another company 7 years ago. Daniel from Nijaz' team came over for an estimate and quickly pointed out that what I thought was the issue, was actually not the issue. he suggested caulking in certain areas around the windows as that was the likely culprit. He spent quite a bit of time on the roof to make sure and stated that the roof was installed properly along with the flashing and felt. It's honesty like this is what's needed more in the construction business, next time I need a roof, I'll be calling Tip Top Roofing for an estimate. I recently hired Tip Top Roofing to replace my roof and gutters so I could install a new solar panel systems. Nijaz was very knowledgeable and great to work with. He was responsive to my concerns and able to gave me pointers and advice regarding on what I need for my roof, gutter and Sun tunnels. I had a termite inspection that identified fungus and drywood termite damage at the v-groove roof sheathing near the chimney on my tile roof. I got three estimates to repair the damage and chose Tip Top Roofing. Nijaz did a thorough inspection of my 28-year-old tile roof and flat roof and identified all the areas that needed attention (e.g., seal pipe jacks, repair broken tiles, replace cracked plastic skylight, install new chimney cover). We found Tip Top Roofing along with a few other roofing companies on Angie's List during the construction of our new garage. While the representatives from all the companies were extremely professional, we really liked Nijaz and felt he was the right match for our project. His crew worked fast and efficiently yet with the care of craftsmen. All of the work was executed with attention to detail and the result was outstanding. Tip Top will do things other companies may overlook. During the building of our garage which was designed with an insulated attic, we ordered a ridge vent which allows air to flow in at the peak behind the sheetrock in conjunction with the other vents. Nijaz strongly urged us to leave a one foot gap in the insulation at the top to allow air inside should rain blow in through the vent during a storm. On a roof repair job he did years ago his customer had roof damage at the ridge because the insulation which went all the way up to the ridge line had become soaked with water which turned the wood to pulp. He passed that information on to us unsolicited. When asked for his input, Nijaz also offered many suggestions on unrelated work including paint color, solar fans, garage floor finishing, and shared information about his own experiences as a homeowner hiring contractors. He had a lot to say on many subjects, was extremely forthcoming with his views on home improvement, and we really needed the advice. Tip Top's bid was competitive though not the lowest. We've learned on other projects to avoid the highest bid and distrust the cheapest. Tip Top was a bargain because the bid was fair, in line with market pricing, and included its owner/operator who offered superior and friendly customer interactions adding value at no extra cost. We saved money by heeding Nijaz's suggestions. After working with Tip Top on our garage project, we felt confident in hiring them to put a new roof on the main house. We ordered Certainteed Presidential TL and they used only that brand for all of the materials from underlayment to shingles to ridges. Nijaz believes consistency of brand enhances the warranty. We just had our roofing done last summer in 2003. He did a great job, passed the city inspection right away, and we had no leaks at all after the 2003 rain season. I wanted to wait another year, but as you all know we are at the rain dance 2014. This company deserves a very good review for their outstanding job. I decided to give this review this year because of the owners loyalty on his business. After the roof was done we had painters on the roof painting roof. After the painters finished their job they left a paint residue and dirt on the roof. The Tip Top Roof company's owner saw the dirt on the roof and rang our door bell one day if he could get on the roof and clean the dirt. I was really surprised, these people really care about their business and their customers. The irony is that at the time when we were shopping for the re-roofing quotation we already had quotes from 7 different companies, I was already exhausted trying to get quotes, and here comes the salesman for Tip Top Roofing soliciting the business. I almost slammed door on him because I had enough quotation, but the salesman was persistent, I said I'll see your quotation, but can't promise any business to you I already have 7 other quotes. He said he would bring the owner to give quote. I said OK, when the owner came, I noticed immediately that he knew exactly what he is doing, he was very serious an honest for his work. His quotation was very reasonable and he gave two ventilations in his quote compare to one from all the other 7 companies.. At the end I gave the job to Tip Top Roofing.
