The guys working here this past weekend were great! They were very friendly from when we entered the restaurant until we left! It wasn't too busy when we arrived and we were able to sit at one of the tables looking towards the water. It was around sunset time so the view was spectacular! Our server was very attentive and checked up on us a ton of times. He brought out a complimentary seafood platter that we enjoyed. It had shrimp, octopus, calamari, and oysters that were drenched in lime. We got to ordering and our food came out right away! We ordered: One crunchy taco with shredded beef and one sope with shredded beef. One plate of aguachiles One order of chicken wings One steak quesadilla One plate of rice and beans with spicy shrimp Two pitchers of lemonade One michelada All this was about $48!!!! Yes guys only $48!!! The food was great! I had the sope and the taco and the meat was so good! My husband loved his aguachiles and the steak quesadilla was delicious! The chicken wings don't come drenched in buffalo sauce but they do give you a side of it. (We didn't like it, it was too vinegary) The lemonade was great and it's not your typical lemonade. They add cherries to it and it has a nice sweet flavor! The michelada was the only thing we did not like. The rim of the cup had waaaay too much salt on it and the drink was too basic. It needed an extra touch of something. We had a great experience and will come again. There is one downside though... people solicit like no other here so be prepared to keep shooing then away every so often while your eating. read more

We visited this restaurant last year and didn't have a good experience, but we decided to give it another chance. We ordered beef fajitas and a hamburger with fries for our child. It took a long time to get our drinks, and our child's meal didn't arrive until about 30 minutes later. The burger was dry, and the fries were soggy and greasy. Our fajitas arrived about 15 minutes after that. The portions were very small, and the meat and peppers were completely cold. The rice and beans also didn't taste good. We told our waiter, and he apologized and offered to have the kitchen make a new order. He also said the problem was with the kitchen, not him. The side of guacamole was warm, watery, and had no flavor. The prices were reasonable, but we left hungry and disappointed. We'd rather pay more for fresh, good-quality food. Great views .. roomy restaurant with plenty of seating. They can accommodate big groups. I ordered a michelada and got Clamato & Beer.. I was hoping for something more creative .. my bf had the lemonade and he thought it was delicious I ordered a ceviche tostada (fish) it was very good .. and the combo agua chile plate .. came with a variety of seafood cooked in lime juice including shrimp, clams, octopus.. plate is finished with cucumber and lots of red onion .. pretty tasty! We got menus in English and I couldn't figure out how to order because the Spanish names for things weren't on the English menu (duh!!) .. if you speak Spanish get the Spanish menu Service was fast and friendly .. we'll see you next time we're in Rocky Point! read more

Went in for breakfast as we were craving chilaquiles. Unfortunately they didn't offer that on the menu and all of the breakfast items were American. We did end up getting the shrimp and fish platter which turned out to be good. Our waiter Jose L. was beyond excellent , he was very courteous, attentive and always on top of our needs. Flavios is the best. I've tried other places around town hoping to find other amazing food in rp and I always end up coming back to flavios. Not only is the staff top notch and basically family but the food is wonderful. They are authentic Mexican food at its best. I've had everything from quesadillas to the octopus and never been let down. There Cadillac margaritas are the best in town! I've eaten there over ten times and each time I enjoy and have the best meal in puerto penasco. We bring our own fish and they cook it up and it's delicious! Ask for Chewy! I've been coming to flavios for about 15 years now! Right off the water, it's one of the best places to grab a bite to eat while you're in town. The staff is always so friendly, too. I love the guacamole and tacos but their margaritas and usually what bring me back. They're huge and priced really well and a staple when you come to Mexico! read more

Pros: very nice staff, nice view Cons: everything else My Mom got a chicken chimichanga that was mostly potatoes. Beans and rice were good. My friend got carne asada tacos that were mostly bristle and didn't taste like the meat had been marinated. I got camarón del diablo. The sauce was very hot. The shrimp was not fresh (despite being next to the fish market) and it was served with stale store bought flour tortillas, rice (good), salad with no dressing and cold French fries. All of our food came like 5 mins apart and they charge American prices to boot. Wouldn't come back. read more

Every time we are in Rocky Point we eat here at least once. The seafood is always fresh and the service is normally pretty good. We love eating by the water and this place does not disappoint when it comes to a view. Eat here around sunset and you will have a great spot to see it. Last time I was there I got the devils shrimp and it was very good. It wasn't too spicy and was enjoyable. My family has always enjoyed the food so I don't think you can go wrong with anything you order. read more

We were recommended this place by an employee at the resort we stayed at as well as a shop owner on the malecon so we were expecting some amazing food. If you are looking for a great view to look at while eating then this is the place. If you don't like bugs I highly recommend you don't come here. There is bugs crawling everywhere. On the windowsill, floor, and that's when I lost my appetite. I understand it's by the water and that it happens but there shouldn't be hundreds and I mean hundreds of them all over the place. My friend recommended this place but I didn't know what I was coming to. I didn't look at reviews prior to coming here. I ordered the #15 and my husband ordered the #13. He ended up receiving the wrong order of food and when we tried to tell our waiter they said no it's what we ordered. There was no point in trying to fix it we had a long drive home and wanted to arrive before it got dark. While eating our dinner one of the little bugs fell onto our table that's when we asked for the check. Keep in mind you don't get to enjoy your dinner because even then there are people approaching you while you are eating dinner trying to sell you stuff. If that's what you are interested in then I recommend this place. However if you are trying to enjoy a nice lunch with your husband like I was, be expected to be interrupted and harassed to purchase something every 5 minutes. After eating there I felt extreme nausea and very irritated. I don't think I will come back here. Eating at other places we didn't encounter anyone trying to sell us stuff this is the first place. I don't recommend this place at all. I ordered butterfly shrimp and received bacon wrapped shrimp and when I told them that the order was wrong he insisted that's what I ordered. I suckered it up because I didn't feel like causing a scene in a foreign country. The shrimp wasn't good on my wife's plate either it was heavily garlic and lacked actual shrimp taste. The rice was about the only good thing. I also know you're by the water but the amount of bugs on the ledge is absolutely disgusting! Every trip I try something new and every time I come back to Flavio's I always ask for Server Jesus as he is fast and knows his stuff besides I think he can read minds because every time as soon as it is time for me to get another Pacifico guess what... There it is. Prices are very similar to the other places but I continue to favor this place besides my kids are treated like family. I drink beer so it is always right and cold but my wife drinks Pina Coladas and Margaritas and not once has she complained so I am assuming they are right. Try the whole fish head eyes and all and you will see what good is. Want good repeat service here or anywhere else??? Make sure you tip appropriately. The reviews do not do this place justice. Against all my being I took my folks here Thursday night. One of the only places who serves a whole fish...choice of red snapper or flounder. We all had the snapper priced at $12 a fish you simply cannot get a better deal. Also had the ceviche and there was a language barrier and the waiter did not charge us for the app he thought we ordered asked us to please try it and he also brought what we did order. Ambience does not exist here but it's ocean front and the food makes up for it. Give it a go and get the whole fried fish it's off the charts!!!! read more

Hey I'm gonna keep this short and simple. I've been going to Mexico since I was 12 and now I'm 18. So let's review. Flavio's has gone down in quality a lot. Before they'd always ask you is everything ok do you need a refill etc... now they don't at all. I've gone to Flavio's 2 times during a 4 day trip. One time when going out for dinner they gave us Bloody Mary mix as salsa. The drinks and food taste slightly odd. My sisters iced tea and mine tasted like crayons. My parents said their alcoholic drinks tasted off. Also the second time I went I got offered a retail which was nice. I got the iced tea and it still tasted off. Good food however. read more
