Amazing Mexican food and service it's our favorite! Been there a couple times so far and each time it was amazing

A mom and pop joint. Lovely sweet people. Definitely authentic. Did not care for their queso with chips but their salsa was yummy! I ordered a number 5. Steak with two enchiladas. Both were good. The steak of course is the fajita meat. And was tender and thin just like it. My husband had a four. And it was cut up steak with bell peppers as onions and fresh jalapeños. You had choice of flour or corn tortillas. Very reasonably priced. The child's chicken nuggets and fries were white chicken and crispy fries. Looked good unlike most places. Was good. You know what they say, the hole in the walls always have the best most authentic food and this one definitely beats that nail on the head. 4 stars because I wasn't a fan of the salsa, the red salsa had that peppery taste, not as tomato based. The verde salsa was okay, spicy but not much flavor. However, their food is delicious!!! I had the chicken enchiladas and they were so good and authentic. The chicken was white meat, shredded perfectly, the enchilada sauce was very good. Only thing I didn't like was there were onions but they were hardly noticeable, just wish it was stated on the menu. My husband had the chicken chimichanga, the breading was amazing, it was also wrapped where you couldn't make a mess and eat it with your hands! It was delicious. Rice and beans were good as well very authentic. The staff was extremely nice, with a nice ambiance for a little hole in the wall, will definitely return. Prices good as well, $20 for 2. read more

In town for work and found this little spot within walking distance. May not be a shiny building but sure is a hidden gem. The service was great as well as the food. Diamond in the rough. Only suggestion to the owners would be to update their menu picture as they have older prices read more

Just ate here and I like the tamale with enchilada plate. Plus had two carne asada tacos and finished my wife's gordita which had the crispiness on the outside that reminded me of the molitas that Tacos Rey in TJ used to make. Fabulous food. read more

Starting out the queso and salsa Queso: Very bland I did my best to look outside the box and find a way to enjoy it but it is definitely not on the level I would have liked it to be Salsa: I personally do not like salsa at all but my family members do and they all enjoyed it saying the ingredients are fresh and taste good And for the accual food I got the carne asada burrito and to say the least it was unlike any other burrito I've had at a sit down Mexican restaurant it had plenty of carne asada steak and the rice and beans weren't completely outplayed the chips were good but wish they had a good counter part like queso but overall this restaurant is a good dinner/Lunch option definitely if I am in the area am coming back. My brother and I went here after seeing a bunch of people posting about it on Facebook. Nothing was particularly bad it just wasn't very flavorful in my opinion. I had to salt the chips which I don't mind because I prefer that over them being over salted. The salsa tasted like nothing but onions which was a huge disappointment as I don't like onions. The queso was runny and thin and just didn't have an overwhelmingly good cheese flavor. My brother got a flauta, taco, and burrito and I had chorizo and eggs with beans. I tried his burrito which, again, wasn't bad just didn't have a whole lot of flavor to it. The inside is nice as is the decor. They only had one waitress which made things slow but she was definitely not lollygagging. The food was quick and hot. Someone told me this was authentic Mexican food and I guess I am more of a Tex-Mex kind of guy. read more

This place has excellent service and a really good shrimp cocktail! Salsa and chips also comes with cheese dip which was just as tasty.

We were hungry, it was lunchtime and Arandas was right there. Takeout dining was the only thing we could do. No problem. We'd eat right there in the truck and watch traffic. Wife ordered Carne Asada Flautas and l had Enchilada / Tamale with rice & beans. We both loved our dishes, the flavors were outstanding! My tamale was the best l've ever tasted, not bland at all. Great food, probably the closest I've had to real Mexican since leaving SoCal however prices are outrageous. Can not justify $60 for a couple quesadillas and two carne asada burritos. Likely won't be back till prices go back down. read more

On the positive side first, the service was friendly and the lunch prices were very reasonable. Unfortunately, the food and the setting definitely does not warrant the current 4.5 average on Yelp. Ordered beverages (horchata and a water) which was delivered with chips, salsa & queso. All were very plain and no reason to return for, with the queso being so void of flavor we had to ask what it was just to be sure. For the entree, I tried the Chicken Flautas ($5.95 with beans & rice) and my wife had the Chicken Enchiladas (ditto), both had little to no taste and comparable to high school cafeteria food. In short, it didn't cost much to give Arandas a try but immediately regretted we didn't go elsewhere. read more

Great lunch spot with good specials. Today was 3 enchiladas, your choice of cheese, chicken or beef. I tried all three. The cheese and chicken were great, don't waste your time on the beef. Served with rice and refried beans. Proportion was spot on. My friend had the chicken quesadilla, which was big, so if your hungry, go for it. Prices are appropriate for the plate sizes. read more

We made a quick stop in Lawton for a meal on our way to west Texas. Amanda's is real Mexican food, not Tex-Mex. The salsa was good and the chips were fresh. My cheese enchiladas were delicious and the serving was large. The ice tea was fresh. My husband ate all of his big serving of an assortment of Mexican foods and then finished off what I couldn't eat on my plate. The service was good and the prices were good. I have been here twice now since moving to this little town. I do like this restaurant a lot more than any of the other Mexican restaurants in the area. Their food is very fresh they know how to serve things nice and hot. My husband is half Mexican and he even states that the authenticity is great. I have had no complaints coming here and I personally LOVE their Horchata. It tastes fresh, not like the packaged crap that they serve at other places. This is one of my favorite traditional Mexican restaurants in Lawton. I'm glad not everyone knows that this place exists because if they did it would be packed all the time. I always order the tacos and they have amazing green salsa. This place is in Ace seedy-looking Shopping Center but don't let the building for you. This is an authentic traditional Mexican restaurant that you would find in a back alley. Staff is extremely helpful and nice and all the chips and salsa that you can eat. read more

This is a very good place to find authentic Mexican food!!! The chips and salsa are very fresh and they are absolutely delicious. The free queso however is a complete opposite... but it is free. I went with the aranda plate and the steak and chicken were very juicy and were amazing!! Piping hot tortillas was a great surprise. The rice and beans were good but they were typical rice and beans. This restaurant is located in a strip mall and does not have an overall Mexican theme to speak of but the food more than makes up for it. Don't ever afraid to try this place. Great little hole in the wall place for authentic Mexican food. BUT I'm getting annoyed at the inconsistency in preparation. No one in the history of the world has served Chile relleno with the seeds intact. The flavors are beautiful but crunching through the seeds and membrane is an unpleasant textural experience. The refried beans are probably the best in town, not too thick or dried out, with a little spread when dropped onto the plate. In my opinion that is exactly right. Three stars until they spend a little more time and effort on their prep work, because without the seedy details this would easily be a four or five star establishment. read more
