We recently just found this hidden gem. A nice, clean family run restaurant. They have amazing weeknight dinner deals. The tacos are hands down delicious. Not sure what the secret is, but the meat has an awesome vinegar/pepper flavor or at least that's the best way I can describe it! Best carne guisada in Lawton!!!!

I drive by the restaurant every day and questioned myself why their are never cars parked out in front. Today I found out why. My two biggest problems were;The food is overpriced, and the menu is too big. I wouldn't be bothered by the price much if the food was even close to decent. The meat felt like it was cooked hours beforehand and microwaved to order, The lettuce was old and brown, and the rice was hard and cold. This town is not full of Hispanic based restaurants but the restaurants that are in town at least put effort into their food. Julio's is one of the worst Mexican restaurants in Lawton until they change a number of things. read more

The food here isn't great.. I would rather go to el jalisciense or Arandas the Mexican food taste authentic. The food here taste old also. Just went once and never will go back here. I give it two start because I'm being nice, the people here probably mean well. Those who like it here aren't Mexican, I guarantee that too. read more

I dont normally leave reviews, but this is the best Carne Asada burrito I have ever had. My realtor told me about this place and i tried to stop by at about 12:30 but the place was jam packed. It's now 1:45 and it was well worth the wait. The staff is super friendly as well, but I'll be real with you for food this good they could cuss at me and I'd be back for more of this amazing food. read more

The enchiladas are great! The menudo is delish! But then again I've tried everything on the menu And you can't go wrong the food is amazing! The prices are very reasonable. Ask for the green hot sauce it's so good if you like something more spicy. The staff is very friendly! It's the best Mexican restaurant in town! read more

Fajitas are truly for one and the flavor of the meat is so super good. They are a little different than what I'm used to, but the quality of the food was very good. Service was impeccable, our waitress was so so kind. No margaritas here and the queso is more like a meat free rotel to me. Free queso, salsa, chips, and sopapia with each meal. read more

Tried this place for the first time and we were not impressed. We ordered the taco special and there was not anything special about it. The taco were okay. The rice was bland and the refried beans were cold and over smashed (runny) not appetizing to look at much less eat. We then ordered the sopapillas - deep fried dough I mean what could go wrong. Well they were flat, thick and still had a flour taste to them. So needless to say we will not be returning anytime soon. Staff was polite and the place was clean. read more

A coworker took us to this place and I had my doubts at first because of the way it looks from the outside. They have us chips and salsa with cheese queso which was nice because it seems like most places charge you extra for queso now days. I order the lunch special green chicken enchiladas and its was great! The plate size was very large with a lot of rice and beans that if I had room I could have ate all of it! Most the time I don't usually like the rice or beans that much but these were good. The only cons I could think of was that the drink prices were a little high for sodas of I remember right :) I had sweet tea and drank about 3 glasses so I got my 2$ worth! If I have a chance to stop here again, I will bring my wife to try it! They also have a dozen tamales for 12$ that I will pick up to go next time to try! read more

Today my friends and I went to eat their all you can eat tacos. It was told to us that these tacos were excellent. But they was just alright. They was plain and grease and water came out of the taco. First time eating here. Service was sub-par. The food we ordered, Beef Nachos, enchiladas, tacos was visually unappetizing. The "green" salsa was lacking flavor. The amount and quality one pays per plate is what drops this typical 3 star establishment to a 2. Final thought: Not worth your time and money. $11.11 for Nachos and a 500ml coke?!!! This place was a lot better than I expected. I tried it because my favorite place was closed for repairs. We first walk in and the seating is terrible and all ripped up. Then we get our waitress who seemed a little short at first but then warmed up to us. The salsa is ok and the cheese sauce is more like a gravy so I didn't have high hopes. I ordered the fish tacos and they were very good! I'm mexican so I always judge the place on their rice. This place definitely has very good rice! I'll definitely go back! read more

After spending 3 years living on the Texas Mexico Boarder in Del Rio - this is the best mexican I've had in town. No fancy show, no stereotype decoration or cheap attempt at looking Tex-Mex, just simple good mexican food. Granted the service is a bit lacking at times when they are busy, but the food is worth the wait. If you want to spend $$ for decor or bling - go elsewhere, but if you want real Mexican Food done the way it's done south of the border - this is the place you want to go to!!! read more

If I could give one star, I would. Our family came here after my brothers basic training graduation, trying to get him some good food, and nice atmosphere and service instead of drill Sergeants yelling. The service wasn't special, the woman who helped us was extremely rude. She laughed rudely at any questions we had, was short tempered and seemed like everything was a inconvenience to her. We asked if they had wet burritos, and she answered rude and almost disgusted by us saying "what is that? I don't know what that means. I don't know what you want." The food wasn't good, not one person in our 6+ party could finish it, and most of us are feeling ill after. I wouldn't recommend this place at all. And to top it off, in a strong military presence town, they don't offer a military discount. read more
