A fantastic spot in Lawton! The spiked cherry limeade was the perfect refreshing drink to start my meal, as well as the complementary, chips with salsa and queso. I ordered the 3 Birria Tacos with rice and beans, and they were delicious, loaded with flavor, perfectly crispy, and tender. Great atmosphere and friendly service too. I have used the phone in and pickup for once a month for several years and have always enjoyed the quality and care given to my orders until last nite 17 Jul 26!! Having ordered the Beef taco salad and Doc steak burrito it was a big disappointment the taco salad was just thrown together just ingridients piled on top of each other no sour creme no gauc , the shell was half cooked and tough. All parts of both meals were extremely over salted they be came inedible. It will be a while before I eat here again. They need to watch the take out orders... read more

The salad here is great. You do sort of have to assemble it yourself but the end product is one of the simple salads you'll eat.

Well, we were looking for good Mexican food. We were told by someone that this place has great food with unlimited chips with salsa and queso. Well, unfortunately, the experience wasn't what we were hoping for. After being seated, our server brought chips with salsa and queso, and took our drink order. The chips were fine. I couldn't find anything wrong with them. The salsa was also just okay. Unfortunately, the queso was a big disappointment. The color was kind of off, it was watery, and tasted like it was microwaved. I commented to my coworker that microwaved Velveeta cheese tasted better, and that's not saying much. As I was with my coworker, we shared a couple of appetizers. I ordered the guacamole dip and also the brisket taquitos. I love, love, love avocados and guacamole. I think it's just about the perfect food. But, here's the big "but," the guacamole here was disappointingly tasteless. I never leave any guacamole behind, but we left more than half of it behind. The brisket taquitos appetizer was the only thing that we ordered, that was phenomenal. I should have just ordered another one for my meal. It comes with an avocado mixed with tomatoes and beans (not very tasty), queso (different than what came with the chips and was very tasty), and another sauce that was actually good. My coworker and I both agreed that this was the best item that we ordered. I ordered the Shrimp Veracruz with flour tortillas and cheese on the side. I was hoping that it would be at least as good as the brisket taquitos. Unfortunately, my plate was covered with cheese on top and not put on the side like I requested. I had to push all of the cheese to the side of my plate. The shrimp was prepared fine and seasoned well, but the rest of the plate was just blah. At this point, disappointment set in and stayed. I just ate the shrimp, dipped the tortillas into the queso that came with the brisket taquitos. Everything else on my plate was pretty much uneaten. If I had to rate the service and the brisket taquitos, then Salas would have scored a 4 at least. Unfortunately, the other items that we ordered, brought the score down. Gave this place a 3 as it was really just ok. Food wasn't bad but service was a little bit iffy. We came here for lunch yesterday and we're seated right away. We were served chips and salsa fairly quick but then our waitress who was pleasant became MIA- chip dish empty and she was nowhere to be found. Food came out and we were able to re-up on the chips but the fact that she was no where to be found prior to left me with an average of 3 for the restaurant. I'd come here again- but there are better Mexican restaurants in the area. read more

The dishes haven't changed in a long time, I would consider this a more classic American- Mexican restaurant more than Tex Mex. Lunch prices avail during Mon-Fri helps make things more affordable. Service was outstanding. Hard workers. Nice newer building and bar looks great. We had chips salsa and pseudo queso served once we sat down. Id rather they improve the queso and charge for it. Puffy, with a slightly thicker bottom, you can easily orick the top to add honey if your like. And you can cut them with a fork. The pickled. Dill pickles are thick cut in round, solid pieces. True 1 star. Sat at the bar with the intentions of having a few drinks with friends and then ordering food to go. The bartender appeared unpleasant and agitated from the moment we sat down. After making our first drink ( spoiler which was the best tasting part of whole meal) ran off to the end of the bar to eat her own food. Coming back only to take our Togo order and then promptly left and never came back til our order was ready. Upon arriving back at our hotel (1 minute away) we quickly realized the food was just as bad as the service. We ordered 4 separate entrees that had the following: cold parts, hard rice, no flavor, and served with jello like queso. I will say the salsa that accompanied the meal was great salsa. MARGARITAS This is by far my favorite restaurant in Lawton. I go here almost once a week. The bartenders are amazing, I love the mega margs. They chips and salsa and quesso are amazing. I like that their salsa is actually spicy. My favorite is the steak enchiladas, I get them almost every time. Their fried burrito is good as well as the bacon wrapped shrimp. Out of towner so thought I'd give this place a try. I sat in the bar around 1:00pm. Bartender was attentive and helpful with menu. Chips were thin and really tasty but all broken in to tiny pieces. Salsa was okay but only got a little cup of it and cheese sauce tasted sort of jelled/different. I chose a favorite ( *) "fluffy tacos," and got one beef and one chicken. It came with black beans and a fresh, grilled veggie combo of carrots, zucchini and yellow squash. Beans were the only thing that came out hot. Veggies looked good but were too cold to eat. Our service was fast and amazing! Our server CJ was very attentive and kind and gave good suggestions! They have homemade chips and salsa that we could not stop eating! The chips were good, light and crispy. The complementary thin waxy looking cheese sauce and pace picante tasting (sweet) salsa were not my favorite. I requested the mild green salsa. I ordered the Mexican Delight. The chili relleno and beef taco were good. The cheese enchilada was okay, with a lot of cheese on the inside and out. I did not care for the chili sauce on the side. The service was fast and friendly! A+! The atmosphere was very comfortable and kid friendly. The inside is large and spread out. There are multiple tv's and interesting things to look at. It turned out pretty good. The waitress 'Kayla' was the only thing that made this place not so good. She was just there to do the job. Take things to us and take the check. Like didn't check on us but once, and that was to ask if we wanted our check. But the food in general, it was pretty good. Let me just say, the service was splendid 10/10 on the service. I went there for a little party luncheon'. We had more people than expected. We also went at the most busiest time of the day, lunch. The staff were more than spectacular with their handling of this. Now for the food. The food was okay, it was nothing to write home about. I ordered the two taco lunch. I was thinking who could mess up tacos. Well you'd be surprised... It was of course the classic hard corn shell tortilla tacos, ground beef, cheese, and lettuce. The meat one on taco was over seasoned and tasted like dog food. The other was bland and under seasoned. I let this pass considering how busy they were. The other ingredients and they effort it took to prepare blew me away. Fresh graded cheese. Fresh chopped lettuce. Home made corn taco shells. It was amazing, if only the meat was held to the same standard. The rice and beans it accompanied were stellar. The rice was amazing and flavorful. The beans were savory and delicious. I would come back just for the rice and beans! I was saddened to see their lack of coke products. This was not a huge deal. It was just disappointing. At the beginning when we sat down we were offered queso and salsa and chips. The chips were home made and delectable. The salsa was a good mild heat very flavorful. Now for my personal least favorite was tue queso. Not very cheesy. Very bland. Almost sad tasting. Like it was sad. It was good. But definitely had room for improvement. The staff were more than excellent. Exceeded my expectations. They were inviting and welcoming. They were flex-able. Our waitress was new, it was her first week. We all thought she was well trained. She even knew what a "number ten" was even though it wasn't on the menu! We had more people turn out than expected, the staff was more than eager to help arrange our tables. So I would agree with the overall rating of 3 for the food. The food is good, but not great. I agree that the cheese dip that they give you those to start is ismore like gravy to taste but it's not bad. The quesadilla I was OK but what flavor for sure. Overall, I would come here for the food, but it probably wouldn't be my first choice. That all being said, the service was great. Sassy Cassie was on top of her bar. I never was in want for my soda refill, she gave me multiple options of salsa, she got an overall pleasant demeanor. I am joyed speaking with her when she had a free moment.
