Tacos (each) 2 asada and 2 tripa

Tacos Los Gordos Estilo Tijuana in Irwindale is such a solid late-night find. The setup is in the middle of a commercial area, but it's brightly lit with plastic chairs and folding tables around, so it actually feels comfortable and not sketchy at all. They've got music blasting too, which adds to the whole vibe. Service was super friendly, greeted with a smile, and everything came out pretty quick. I tried the asado and tripa tacos ($3 each), and they were definitely flavorful and filling. The tortillas are made fresh to order, which is a huge plus. The only downside is they were a bit delicate and started falling apart once loaded up with salsa and lemon, so it got a little messy to eat. Overall though, really tasty and satisfying. I'd definitely come back.

Food is pretty good, taste very fresh and well served. Service was good as well, order with the lady, pay with her as well, then receive your order at the window. They have a salsa bar which is being cleaned often. They could use some type of speaker system to make it easier to hear the lady calling the order numbers. They work with the gas station and have seating in the back corner. Parking can get packed and can get hectic if you're just trying to pump gas. Overall pretty good for price.

This food truck serves fresh, authentic, and delicious Mexican food. They're open late and they get quite the crowd during busy hours and sometimes random hours. The food truck is usually parked by the warehouses on the cul-de-sac area in between the gas station and chipotle on foothill. I really love their asada tacos and asada burrito. I don't have a picture of the burrito because I scarfed it down too fast but take my word for it, their burritos are huge! The asada has great flavor. They also have fresh housemade salsas and I love all the green salsas. The dark green, pale creamy green, and bright green salsa are soooo good. The cooks and staff are hard working and do their best to get those orders out quick. They take Zelle or cash, no credit cards. Parking is no issue as you can either park on the cut-de-sac or the big warehouse lot.

Food is still really good, but I have to knock off a star for the recent lack of consistency. Drove by around 2:30pm on a Thursday and they were not there. I wasn't really ready to eat, just checking for dinner since it's been a few times I've driven by and didn't see the truck. Later that evening around 6pm I did go back for dinner and they were there, so we grabbed our tacos. Next issue is with menu prices. They no longer list the prices on their menu. Not an issue per se since the prices for the items we order have remained the same (single tacos, $3 to3.50 depending on the meat or the 3 Tj style tacos for $10), but I have seen their Insta posts and signs from time to time with daily promotions, but they don't seem to be forthcoming about them. Even when we asked, they said they didn't know. WTF? The post was less than a week old. Check your own signs outside and your own Instagram page :). Come on. Be better.

Recently gave this place a try after a Costco run (it's literally right next to it). I'm so glad I stumbled upon this hidden gem. This is some of the closest tacos I've had that is comparable to true TJ tacos. The Tijuana tacos are 3 for $10 and in my opinion are worth it. It's a hidden gem in SGV if you ask me.

Great service, quick ordering Authentic and delicious. Love the handmade tortillas, and that "tj style" they do provide plastic stool seats you can pull up along side the truck and eat and she even brought the order to us!

The tacos are a great price, with tender juicy meat. I was very impressed that they make the tortillas on site for each order as well! I've never seen a food truck do that. The staff primarily (only?) speaks Spanish, and I only speak English, but I got what I ordered and they didn't make fun of my atrocious pronunciation of birria. They were super nice and had a great setup! Tons of options on the condiments, including some mystery salsas and sauces as well as limes and cilantro. While this is a food truck, they are tucked away in a commercial/industrial areas with plenty of parking. Most people were taking their food to go, but there was a little grass embankment to stand on as well.

Been eyeing this taco truck every time I passed by and decided to give it a try! It def did not disappoint! Order the pork tacos and beef quesadilla. I love the corn tortilla they made in house, it tasted really fresh and not like other corn tortillas I have tried in restaurants. The meats are also flavored nicely and not greasy like others! Looking forward to try other things on the menu soon!

the tacos here are SO amazing. my friends and i got the queatacos and it was life changing. the tacos are bigger than average and the toppings just paired so nicely with each other. service was good! they're very sweet! they do get busy some times so be sure to be patient :,) its a food truck that's by costco! theres a table and a couple chairs you can sit at or you can pop open your trunk and eat it there! i would recommend you to bring cash!

This is my second time at this establishment because it's so hard to find some solid Tijuana style tacos. They got the handmade tortillas with the guac slapped on top of the taco. I got me some pastor tacos, the pastor got a good taste to it, paired with the guac and some salsa. I've had pastor with some better flavor but this one clears. I also tried their rice which was alright, the tacos were good. Tijuana style pastor tacos: 8.4 Rice: 7.3

Late night dinner runs and it's yummy! Super fresh and staff are so friendly. The lady even came out for us to sample the cooked ribs, which I ordered for the tacos. Tacos are fresh made to order and definitely alot of meats. Everyone is ver nice and it's not busy when I went. I can even pay via zelle so it's easy and very authentic food for the food truck .

Very greasy tacos. Bought 6 was barley able to eat 1 They just fell apart. Very disappointed

Delicious! Had tacos de tripitas and Al pastor. We asked for the tripas crunchy and got them crunchy. Friendly service. Well recommended.

They are open till 11:30 PM, and they had a line of connoisseurs at 10 PM. I can see why! Their tacos are served hot and made on the spot. Their Asada Tacos with red sauce is great; they give it a great char and their salsa roja is savory and smoky. I especially love their Al Pastor Tacos: spicy, tender pork, with the sweetness of fresh pineapple to give that extra brightness and acidity. By far one of the best Al Pastor tacos I have had in a while, and they get extra bonus points for topping theirs with pineapple as some tacos trucks in LA don't do that all the time. Just thinking about it and typing this makes me want to head there but I will just have to wait till next time. Pro tip - the sprinklers go off on Santa Anita Ave around 10:30 PM, and my friends and I got sprayed so be careful not to stand on the grass during that time.
