Overall, the food was decent, but it didn't really stand out. Everything was good enough, but nothing made me want to come back specifically for it. The biggest downside was the price--we spent close to $70 for our meal, and I didn't feel the quality or portion sizes quite justified the cost. The experience wasn't bad by any means, and if you're in the area it may be worth trying once. For me, though, there are enough great taco spots in Southern California that I'll probably explore other options before returning. read more

I had the quesabirrias doradas, which came with three crispy quesabirria tacos and a cup of consomé. The setup is in the middle of a commercial area, but it's brightly lit with plastic chairs and folding tables around, so it actually feels comfortable and not sketchy at all. Found this place almost by accident. We were driving home late craving some tacos. Most restaurants were closed as it was 1130pm. This food truck was right off the freeway. We pulled up, plenty of parking around. Got treated to a sample of ribs. Little did I know it would be my favorite dish. The staff is friendly and ready to help. They had chairs and a few tables. This food truck serves fresh, authentic, and delicious Mexican food. They're open late and they get quite the crowd during busy hours and sometimes random hours. The food truck is usually parked by the warehouses on the cul-de-sac area in between the gas station and chipotle on foothill. I really love their asada tacos and asada burrito. I don't have a picture of the burrito because I scarfed it down too fast but take my word for it, their burritos are huge! The asada has great flavor. They also have fresh housemade salsas and I love all the green salsas. The dark green, pale creamy green, and bright green salsa are soooo good. The cooks and staff are hard working and do their best to get those orders out quick. They take Zelle or cash, no credit cards. Food is still really good, but I have to knock off a star for the recent lack of consistency. Drove by around 2:30pm on a Thursday and they were not there. I wasn't really ready to eat, just checking for dinner since it's been a few times I've driven by and didn't see the truck. Later that evening around 6pm I did go back for dinner and they were there, so we grabbed our tacos. Next issue is with menu prices. They no longer list the prices on their menu. Not an issue per se since the prices for the items we order have remained the same (single tacos, $3 to3.50 depending on the meat or the 3 Tj style tacos for $10), but I have seen their Insta posts and signs from time to time with daily promotions, but they don't seem to be forthcoming about them. Even when we asked, they said they didn't know. WTF? The post was less than a week old. Check your own signs outside and your own Instagram page :). Come on. Be better. read more

Recently gave this place a try after a Costco run (it's literally right next to it). I'm so glad I stumbled upon this hidden gem. This is some of the closest tacos I've had that is comparable to true TJ tacos. The Tijuana tacos are 3 for $10 and in my opinion are worth it. It's a hidden gem in SGV if you ask me. read more

The staff primarily (only?) speaks Spanish, and I only speak English, but I got what I ordered and they didn't make fun of my atrocious pronunciation of birria. They were super nice and had a great setup! Tons of options on the condiments, including some mystery salsas and sauces as well as limes and cilantro. While this is a food truck, they are tucked away in a commercial/industrial areas with plenty of parking. You'd have to drive out of your way to arrive at this food truck. There's plenty of street parking. You'll likely have to turn into the side street quick since your coming off a fast moving traffic street. The truck has loads of toppings you can grab for customization. They got Spanish music playing that makes the whole area fun to vibe while waiting (or if you're eating nearby). The service was quick. The el pastor tacos were delicious! Went to try out the new spot on San bernadino rd and Irwindale Ave. Its right behind my house and I've been smelling it every day. So we figured we'd try. I am soooo dissapointed. Unfortunately this place doesn't. 40 min wait for rice and bean burritos when you order al pastor isn't worth the wait. The whole business set up is unorganized. The three taqueros looked overwhelmed to the point where one of them chopped off the whole al pastor trumpo to the plancha just to catch up with orders. The Al pastor was salty.
