Keith Kesley made our first travel trailer purchase very pleasant and an enjoyable experience. I was off work so we made our way up to Dave Arbogast from just south of Dayton. Keith was very accommodating and showed us many travel trailers that day. When we were done he did not pressure us or take our information as other area dealers are accustomed to do. He gave me his cell phone number and said if you need any assistance in the purchasing process or any other questions, please give me a call anytime. The last camper we went through was a Dutchmen Kodiak, the price was very competitive and was the perfect camper for my family's needs. I wanted to sleep on the decision and called Keith I believe 2 days later. Keith informed me the camper sold about 2 hours after we left. When I told the family I could see the disappointment in their faces and felt the disappointment as well. Keith offered to contact me know if the deal fell through and also offered to show us other campers similar to the Kodiak. About two days later I got a call from Keith stating the deal fell through and the Kodiak was ours if we wanted it. We jumped on the offer and have a great high quality camper to enjoy for years to come. When we picked up the camper Steve was very thorough showing me the features and how to use the camper. Being a first time camper owner his information has been very helpful. Steve also went above and beyond what I would expect at a RV dealership. I had purchased a weight distribution hitch for my truck and Steve helped me set it at the proper height, tension and angle. On a nice day I would consider this above and beyond. On this day it was cold, windy and rainy. I believe 36-38 degrees and Steve didn't hesitate to help me, absolutely exceptional service. The purchasing experience was great. However, the customer service before delivery and since then has been HORRENDOUS. Our 5th wheel was to be delivered on September 6th. Numerous family members took off work to prepare for delivery on September 6th. Arbogast uses an outside company (Pinnacle) to make deliveries. Long story short, our camper went missing for 8 HOURS somewhere between Ohio and Indiana. It is a 3 hour trip from Arbogast to my residence in Indiana. We had no way of getting in touch with anyone to locate where the camper may be. We even tried reaching out thru Facebook. The camper FINALLY arrived at 11:55 pm on September 6th after some of my family literally had to chase the delivery guy down and force him to stop. When the delivery driver was asked where he had been with our camper he produced numerous lies and kept tripping over all of his untruths. The 23 minutes of questioning were recorded and sent to Arbogast for their review........we were told numerous times by Arbogast that they were looking into and that they would take care of us. The delivery driver disappeared for 8 hours with our camper, entered it and put his personal clothes in the camper. WOW JUST WOW!!!! After numerous phone calls and emails to gain clarification and answers, there has been no development. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in the customer care and service received from Gary and Stacy. They have not stuck to their word and haven't even provided any customer service. Gary and Stacy both said they would take care of us. So, gentleman, we are still waiting. 4 WEEKS later and still no answers. Is this really how you take care of customers? Very sad. read more

Was looking for a Work & Play toy hauler and was searching the internet. I stumbled upon Dave Arbogast and I couldn't believe the campers they have in stock WOW! I found the one I wanted on their amazing Website and their prices were lower then any other place I looked. I filled out their quick financial for online for the camper I was interested in and 15 min later Jim Snyder called me. He was very friendly and he answered all the questions I had. Painless! I wanted that toy hauler and 30 minutes later Preston from their financial office called and gave me great news. Me and my Son drove from Minnesota to there. When we arrived we were greeted by the nice receptionist and then by Jim Snyder. This was my first camper and I had know clue how things worked. They took us outside to are camper which was just washed and was hooked up like you were at a campground. They set me up with Steve who was amazing and taught me and my son how the whole camper worked and things that I was going to need to get started in the camping world. Then we got to meet Preston the financial Manager. He went through everything with ease and understanding. Gave me different options that would work for me. He was very helpful and freindly. This place is amazing from the campers, rv's, to the parts store which they are friendly and helpful. Me and my son's experience here was amazing and when I'm ready to upgrade to a bigger one I will be calling them. I would highly recommend going there to get your camper needs. Formaldehyde poisoning form our RV! We got formaldehyde poisoning from a Forest River fifth wheel we purchased here. They told us there was nothing they could do and said we needed to reach out to the manufacturer. We did this and the manufacturer wouldn't take responsibility either and told us to speak with the seller for a return, which the seller denied. We took formaldehyde readings and it was off the charts for formaldehyde. We also had rashes, dryness and difficulty breathing formaldehyde poisoning after only 3 days in our new RV. We did try to "air out" the rv with heat and a/c as websites advise in this situation, however after 2weeks of airing out the rv it did not change the readings nor our symptoms.... We aren't even a 'vulnerable population', we are completely healthy and in our late 20s. So now we have an RV with a huge payment each month for several years which we can't even enter let alone use! We also reached out to Sierra Club which is a watchdog group and they advised they have had tons of issues with formaldehyde in RVs, with no accountability. Formaldehyde is used as an adhesive and is in most materials in RVs to keep the RV lightweight. We had been researching RVs for years before we purchased an RV and had thought about every issue that might arise except this one. Think twice before you purchase an RV, this will haunt us for years and there is nothing we can do bc the seller would not accept a return nor would the manufacturer take responsibility. read more

Right down to getting me at the airport in Dayton when I flew in to pick it up! ON THE DAY BEFORE HIS WEDDING!! WHICH WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A DAY OFF FOR HIM! And this week I made the 6 hour drive to have some warranty work done. Couldn't get my local Forest River dealers to give me the time of day (no actual Coachmen dealers near me, but I thought the parent company dealers would help out....nope!). Sam, the Service Director at Arbogast, got me set up with an appointment and walked through each and every issue I was needing to have checked out. And bent over backwards to make sure my appointment went smoothly. Dave, the Service Writer was expecting me when I got there and took great care of me over 2 days. And Lucas, my technician, is absolutely the MacGyver of the RV world. Went WAY above and beyond in checking out and repairing and documenting everything he could. Mr. Arbogast, whatever you're paying Zach, Sam, Dave, and Lucas, it's not enough!! And everyone while you're there, you've GOT to eat at the Arbogast Cafe. I had the BEST hot ham and cheese deli sandwich I've every had....not kidding! Love this place. Love Sam and his team. Just wish I lived closer than 6 hours away!!!! read more

I just worked with Jim Snyder to purchase and pick up a 2015 Winnebago Trend 23L. This is my first RV and I did a lot of research online to find the right unit for my family. While I had some good interactions with other dealers in the surrounding area, Jim and the team at Arbogast met and exceeded all my expectations. Definitely the largest selection of RV (and conversion vans if you're in the market for one) in the Indiana/Ohio area. I live a couple hours from the dealership, so Jim was very good at communicating via internet and made special arrangements to come in on his day off when I made my first trip over. We recently purchased a new RV from Arbogast RV and we are very pleased with the experience, as well as our new RV. Everyone is very friendly and our salesman, Stacy Trissel ,was great to work with. He was direct and to the point and we are pleased with our purchasing experience. We have had salesmen who talk down to us because we are women, but Stacy was great. In fact, this was our third purchase from Arbogast and each time we have been treated fairly. Our experience during the walk-thru was also great. The man who told us about our Storm was very well informed. He took his time and explained in easy-to- understand terms how everything worked and how it was different from our previous RV. Preston, in the business office was also very personable and a pleasure to work with. Their practice of allowing customers to set up on one of their pads and stay overnight to try out the new vehicle is also a real plus. We are very happy with our July 2016 purchase from Dave Arbogast RV in Troy, Ohio. We traveled from quite a distance to make our first RV purchase. We were greeted by Brad Simcoe, our sales person. Hands down a stand up company. We purchased a Keystone Bullet Premier BH31PR. What a unit. We found the camper locally in New York, but couldn't come to terms with the sales force. Arbogast had the same model for a great price and offered outstanding service. They welcomed us after our 10 hour drive, completed the transaction, and had a dedicated service technician give us a thorough walk through the camper. They even installed and set up the weight distribution that we provided and when I went to settle up with the service department, they had included it in the sale. Little details like that make this a company I will absolutely give my business to again. To top it all off, I had asked if there were any campgrounds nearby for us to stay before the long drive the next day, and they offered us accommodations with full hook ups on their secured lot. We are first time buyers of an RV. I called about a Kodiak 24' Travel Trailer and spoke with Ed Cross. He answered all my questions and gave me his number. Later he called me back to let me know there was an additional $500 in savings. We were allowed to place a completely refundable deposit on the camper on Tuesday, knowing we would not be able to see it until Saturday. Ed came in a half hour early so we could see the camper without a lot of distraction of other customers. The camper was completely set up (AC running, water hooked up, power, etc). We bought the camper, and while being showed the ins and outs by Kirby, Ed arranged for the electric brake installation on my truck. Financing was already approved the day before. My wife and I loved the experience with Arbogast. The staff was attentive and super friendly. Her parents were looking for a good used class A Winnebago and these guys had one they were interested in. While they talked specifics and trade, we went over to the coffee shop in the other building. Definitely a plus to be able to get a cup of Boston Stoker while we waited. The process of buying an RV is a long one so we had some time to kill. We got to go out and walk through some really cool pull behind trailers; not really knowing much about RVs we were surprised to see how reasonably priced some of them were and you got some cool stuff, like kitchens nicer than the one in my house... I was looking for a Toy Hauler for a long time when I came across one on the Arbogast Website. When I inquired I was told that it was pending sale and not available. I gave one of the salesmen, Brad Simcoe the details on what I was looking for, and he kept an eye out for me. He Emailed me info on several units over a period of a couple weeks, but they were not quite right. Finally, he sent me info on a unit that met all of the requirements I had laid out, and even had options I didn't think I would get in my price range. I just got back from my first trip with it and my daughter and I had a great time. Mark Harris at Arbogast was terrific in helping us with the purchase of our 2016 Airstream Interstate. In fact, we were interested in another camper at Arbogast but did not purchase it because of how honest Mark was about it's condition. He had no idea if he would ever hear from us again but I contacted him again about this Airstream because I knew that my dealings with him would be straightforward and very satisfactory. Not giving 5 stars because I don't like it when dealers of any type of brand new vehicle try to sell me optional products like undercoating, polishing, etc. which the purchase department of Arbogast tried to do. I see that as gouging - which may seem like a harsh attitude to take but in my opinion it's padding the sale. read more

Since we live about 2 hours away and my wife and I both have busy schedules, we did most of our negotiating by email and phone calls.
