I've told them this many times. I show up for my appointment and they said they gave it to someone else. This is the second time this has happened. I make an appointment, I expect to keep it. They Just cancelled my appointment and gave it to someone else. WTF... That is so unethical. Don't they realize that everyone does not live their lives with a phone in their hand? Fantastic dentist! I have been going to Dr. Chen for about 10 years and could not recommend him more. He is incredibly gentle and meticulous. I have had to get quite a bit of dental work done and he has always done an excellent job. Even fitting me in ASAP for emergency work. Always fair with pricing and forthright with work that needs to be done and work that can wait. The hygienists and front desk ladies are some of the kindest and most skilled people I have ever met. Hi there. I'd like to preface this review to say that I am writing it for my dad. He's old school and doesn't do much on the internet besides his morning yahoo (read as yay-who)... ;) My dad started coming to Arbor View Dental a couple years back and it has been the most life changing decision he has ever made. For as long as I can remember my dad has had MAJOR dental phobia and has avoided going at all costs. Well, not going to the dentist finally caught up with him and for lack of a better description, his mouth was a mess. My dad is such a fun guy; always laughing and having a good time but his smile did not reflect that. He had many broken, worn down teeth that caused him lots of pain... both physically and mentally. Before going to see Dr. Chen, he had seen another dentist for a consult or a "game plan" if you will. The other dentist couldn't even help him besides a full mouth extraction with dentures. I mean, if my dad was older maybe it would have been fine but he's only in his early 50's and he has so much life to live still! My dad decided to get a second opinion and we are so glad he did! Dr. Chen was not only able to save his remaining teeth, but construct a total beautiful new smile for him! My dad is able to eat, smile, laugh and just talk to people without being self conscious or in pain! It has been the greatest gift to see him so happy and proud of his mouth! You don't really realize how important your teeth are until you are about to lose them! Not only is my dad so thankful for Dr. Chen, but his entire staff! I brought both my 14 and 10 year old here. My 14 year old had a couple of cavities that needed to be filled. The female dentist said to me, with my 14 year old laying in the chair, "don't tell her what is going to happen to her for the procedure. I'll walk her thru it when she gets here for the filling". Now, had she said that with my daughter not right there, fine. But right in front of her? She's 14 and has every right and need to hear what is going to happen to her body. Instant tears. I left and made sure they knew what I thought of her bedside manner. Here comes the kicker tho, I tried to make an appt after this for some pain my 10 year old was having some pain (she liked her and wanted to go back). Well, they left me on hold for 12 mins and finally came back and said they wouldn't take her because they had released her x-rays (to ME!) and wouldn't take her back as a patient. Pretty petty! I'm glad tho, as I did not want to take either of my girls back to her. read more

I have been going to Arbor View Dental for a few years now after my previous dentist of over 20 years retired. I was a little worried about having to find a new dentist but I am extremely happy with Arbor View. Drs. Chen and Cao and the Arbor View staff are all very pleasant, professional and accommodating. They pay special attention to the patient's comfort throughout the visit, explain what they are doing and answer any questions you may have. The massage chairs and the movie selection is an added plus and makes the appointment time go by fast! My husband and I just started going to Arbor View and I can't say enough about them! I had not been to the dentist in quite some time (fear of dentist, etc.), but knew I needed to go so I gave them a try. Dr. Chen and his staff were so patient with me. They took their time and were extremely professional. I actually am happy about going to the dentist now, which is a huge change for me. Their dental chairs are massage chairs and while they are working on your teeth, they put in a movie of your choice with head phones, so your eyes are distracted and your ears don't hear the drill! I wish I can give Dr Chen 10 stars! I have to talk my bad experience with my former dentist first: because without comparison, I wouldn't be able to know that Dr Chen have such superior techniques. Before I switch to Arbor View Dental, I had my right side of teeth both upper and bottom filling done at another dentist in Roseville who also have good reviews on Yelp. But the result was not satisfactory: 1. They didn't all the upper and bottom fillings in one appointment, which lasted two hours. And I doubt they gave me overdose of anesthetic, because I was numb for over 7 hours and after numb was over, I was sore for one day. 2. The filling surfaces were so flat, not like real teeth which have dental grooves. And after filling, they didn't even use the articulating paper to check the bites. I had to go there the second time, during which session they finally used the articulating paper to check bites and fixed some parts, but still not giving me an even bite. So my husband and I switched to Dr Chen. I had Dr Chen to do my left side of fillings. Dr Chen planned my left upper and bottom fillings separately ---- I think this can help to make sure that the side with filling done can match the other side better. During filling, Dr Chen was very patient, and used the articulating paper to check the bites many times, and adjusted the fillings of the dental grooves. After fillings were done, I only felt numb for about 3 hours, unlike being numb all night in my former experience with my former dentist. And I didn't feel sore or pain after the numbness was over. Then I looked my new fillings that Dr Chen did carefully in the mirror: so nature! The color matches with my own teeth, and the most important is that all the filling surfaces, the dental grooves look just like real teeth! The bites are so even! Dr Chen also fixed one tooth on my right side which wasn't done well by my former dentist. Now each of my tooth has an even bite, which makes feel so comfortable and happy! Also, the nurses and the administrative staffs are nice and efficient and the new clinic that they recently moved in is modern and relaxing. read more

The Dentists are a husband and wife team and they have small children of their own, the staff are so nice and I feel really safe with their care and competence. When we moved to Roseville i was looking for a dental office for my entire family. Ive experience two and i wasnt happy with extra the charges and dental office staff. I found arbor view and ive been so happy with the doctors and staff. I have an implant that my crown came off. Went to the bay area and dentist couldnt figure it out. DR. Chen was on top of it wheb he saw me. He took care of it right away. He researched the type of implant and ordered the parts for it. I also have this growth on my gums and as soon as he saw me, he email and endo to consult. He told me its a cyst before i left the office. Hes the BEST. On top of that, they dont have extra charges.
