Family photos of Dr. Ben and his gorgeous family.

My husband and I have been to a number of dental offices around the area until we found Heritage Oak Dental team and Dr. Ben Kloss. We are so excited to have found a dentist with integrity, excellent communication, and actual concern for our dental health!! We were impressed with the high quality of the office and the professionalism of the entire team. Since we are self-employed, we do not have dental insurance. Dr. Ben Kloss has an "in-house" dental plan that was perfect for us and it was more than reasonable! I have had several crowns and fillings replaced with Dr. Ben and each time I am impressed with his sensitive touch and commitment to excellence. My bite has never been better! He even "equilibrated" my bite which no other dentist took the time to do and now my TMJ feels so much better. I can't sing their praises enough! If you need an excellent dental office then you need Heritage Oak Dental and be sure to ask for Dr. Ben Kloss!

Ive been in pain for three years. Tonight this happend. I was fooled in to unnecessary work. No help no accountability.

11 months ago UNNECESSARY DENTAL WORK I took my family to Heratage Oak dental for general dentistry. I was told by Dr.Ben kloss that I had reabsorption in one of my crowns and that he needed to pull it out and put in an implant. He told me that he was a dental restoration expert and that Dr. Shane Douglas would be my general dentist. Doctor Ben kloss pressured me to have my tooth removed and an implant put in for over a year. I was told that if I didn't the bone would erode and then I would not have any options. I would have to have a bridge which was far inferior. After a year of being frightened into this procedure I finally consented. My life has been a nightmare ever since. After Shane Douglas placed the metal rod in my face Ben Kloss put in the New crowns to replace my old ones. He took the teeth out of the Box put some glue on them and stuck them in my head. That was it.. He could not dry fit them he did not shape them or do anything to them. One was placed below the gum line and you could see the top Of my tooth the other one was placed millimeters higher So they were completely and Uneven.they were crossed over in the back an extremely thick and bulky. Now when I speak I spit I cannot pronounce words properly The teeth are a completely different color than my actual teeth So I don't want to smile but I can't smile because the teacher so bulky that my lip sticks to my teeth and curls under if I do try to smile. And worst of all I am in constant discomfort there is extreme pressure in my bone and in my teeth. It is constant torture all night and all day it's difficult to sleep I wake up in the middle of the night and cry. They took absolutely no responsibility for any of it in fact they tried to make me feel as if it was my fault. I have seen 5 dentists and the Roseville Granite Bay area and they are all horrified and want to know who did this to me. I went to Dr.Bannai Who is wonderful and he shaped them and them for me a little bit more bearable but it is still constant misery. I filed a complaint with Delta dental and when they requested that the Heritage oak dental refund my co-pay Heritage Oak filled an appeal! After ruining my life they wouldn't even give me my co-pay back! Delta dental Sent me to a dentist for evaluation and he was the angriest at what Doctor Ben kloss and doctor Shane Douglas had done to me. I was told that the dental work was in fact completely unnecessary the dentist said it was a tradgedy. Delta dental refunded the cost of My crowns so that I can have them done by a competent dentist. But the metal rod that Shane Douglas placed in my head will torture me for the rest of my life. Shane Douglas and Ben Kloss are incompetant, dangerous and heartless. They do not care about their patients. Be more careful than I was keep yourself and your loved ones far away from these so called "Dentists". In response to the reply from the dentist's office this is false I was made to pay in full Over $4000 up front before any work was done. When I complained about the dental work they told me I owed them $600 more for missed appointments for my son. Appointments that I never made and was not notified about. Rather than showing compassion or taking any responsibility for the appalling damage they did to my teeth and my life There reponse was to try charge me more money And apparently wreak more havoc and my life by trying to send me to collections. I never heard a word about owing them more money until complained. What youhave done is shameful and sicking. I trusted you both!! It was truly the worst Mistake I have ever made! You should both lose your medical license. 3

But the moment I walked in the staff made me feel so calm & gave me peace in knowing I was in good hands. I can not thank the staff enough for their kindness, compassion & patience. Pure Dentistry is by far the best place dentist I have ever been too! And I am proud to be considered a new patient with them. (:

Very nice dental office and wonderful staff!…read more I dread going to the dentist. I think the only time I've looked forward to a dental appointment was when I was a kid and the dental office had video game machines that I was excited to play in the waiting room. Oh, and they had prizes at the end of your visit for you to choose from too! Fast forward to adulthood and going to the dentist is really something I've never liked doing, especially when my regular dentist and his dental hygienist retired. Then I went several years meeting new dentists and staff as we relocated a few times. Thought we found a good dentist...and then they decided to not take our dental insurance anymore. :( So this is my long-winded explanation why I didn't go to the dentist for about 2-3 years. I don't have perfect teeth and I don't like the stress my body feels when I'm sitting in the chair with sharp instruments poking at my gums. But I finally decided I'd better stop slacking off and to find a dentist so at the very least I could use up the dental cleaning credits that insurance is paying for. ^_^ Looked on the Cigna website for dentists in our area and narrowed down my search to a couple, with Dr. Slate being one of them. Yelp reviews didn't seem too bad either. Decided to ask my orthodontist's office (Dunn Orthodontics is awesome, FYI) if they had recommendations for a good dentist, since I had such an amazing experience with our Invisalign journey. Lo and behold, they gave me 2 names and Dr. Slate was one of them! I took that as a sign that Pure Dentistry was where I should go. Setting up an appointment was convenient. Location was easy to find. Parking wasn't too bad. (Just be aware Rocklin Academy is close by and pick up/drop off time might be tricky getting in and out) Met Rachel, the dental assistant who did a bunch of X-rays and was so sweet, warm and friendly. Then I met Dr. Slate, who is also extremely friendly and likable. Gotta love people who are skilled at their profession but have engaging personalities and are fun to talk to also! He shared a funny story about trying to get a coveted chocolate chip recipe from my orthodontist's wife, which was amusing to envision. Then it was time for my cleaning. Met dental hygienist Victoria and we had some laughs about "6-7" and other kid/teen slang. She was fun to talk to. TBH, the dental cleaning was a bit rough. I guess that's what I get for not going to the dentist for so many years. I could feel myself tensing up while she was scraping away tartar and then checking/poking my gums. Victoria even told me that I might have a bit of a headache later that day because she really went at it. She suggested ibuprofen. I think I kinda laughed it off because I don't usually get headaches. But man...was she right! I did have a bit of a tension headache later that afternoon. Not sure if it was because the idea was planted in my head (psychologically?!) or if it was from the high-pitched cleaning tools (next time I'll bring ear plugs) or if it was from the more-aggressive teeth cleaning. But at least she warned me about it, lol. Victoria also introduced me to Cocofloss. I had heard about it when we were looking into dental flosses a while back but I had never tried it. She gave me a sample and told me they even had different flavored flosses! Long story short, I think about Victoria and Pure Dentistry every night I'm flossing with my Cocofloss now, lol. We even ordered the different flavored Cocofloss, to make flossing a little more fun each night. So then it was time to leave and Victoria walked me up to the front where I met Celine, another super friendly employee! We chatted and then she gave me some cool Pure Dentistry swag! ^_^ They even had a little fridge with cold water and flavored sparkling water for patients also. It's the little things... While I'm still super nervous and reluctant about going to the dentist and my future visits, I can definitely say that Pure Dentistry alleviates a lot of my fears and they have a topnotch staff and a lovely office. They're great at what they do, make you feel like a valued customer/patient, and give you helpful advice for good dental health. (I'll probably schedule a full body massage after each dental visit in the future, so I can create a positive association between dental visits and relaxation, haha!) Highly recommend Pure Dentistry for people like me who are scared of dentists but also know the importance of dental care! You'll love Dr. Slate and his fantastic staff! :D

One day, I remembered a clinic where I was seen once when I broke my crown, and they were the only ones open that day. I googled "Oak" (all I remembered), called for an appointment, and Penelope on the other end was so sweet and accommodating -- I felt like I was talking to an old friend. When I arrived, I realized I'd gone to a different clinic, but since I was already there, I decided to stay. Penelope welcomed me like family, and the modest lobby with a lovely aquarium really helped calm my nerves. The highlight? Dr. Patrick Finn -- gentle, thorough, and with the lightest hands I've ever experienced. He explained everything clearly and made me feel at ease. The hygienist was also super friendly, and the lady who scheduled my follow-up with specialists was so organized. I jokingly told her I made a "really good mistake" ending up here -- turns out, it was one of the best mistakes I've made. Long story short: I'm now a happy patient, grateful I found such a caring team. Sometimes, mistakes really do lead to the best surprises.

I first came to know Cedar Dental because I have a son who suffers from dental anxiety. I was told…read morehe might need additional sedation, and Cedar Dental informed me they offer both IV and oral sedation. Since I've always been uncomfortable with IV sedation, I was relieved to find there was an oral option. My son initially had a tooth pulled and a bone graft done under oral sedation at Cedar Dental, and we needed to schedule further treatment, including a root canal. I spent about 45 minutes speaking with Dr. Amy Kiesselbach's team, going over the procedure and the multiple future appointments he would need. Lindsay was very helpful in discussing what insurance benefits I had left, and we developed a treatment plan that would allow me to best utilize those benefits. During our conversation, Lindsay verbally quoted me a cost of $776 + $173.60 from insurance, and an out-of-pocket of $557.40. She also called in the prescription for oral sedation, being fully aware of my son's history and our plan to use oral sedation again. Later that day, I received a text with a link to a full written quote, but I didn't realize the link was there and didn't scrutinize the digital version since we had just reviewed everything thoroughly on the phone. Unfortunately, several charges were left out of the verbal quote: a $600 charge for oral sedation, a build-up, and a laser procedure not covered by insurance. On the day of the root canal, I was shocked to learn that my total out-of-pocket was over $1,000, including a previous balance I wasn't aware of. I was not at the appointment and had to give my credit card over the phone before they would begin work on my now-sedated son. A few hours later, I was informed that Dr. Kiesselbach would not complete the procedure because my son, who was under sedation, had reached up in discomfort a few times. Instead of giving him a break, they restrained him and ultimately refused to finish the work unless I paid an additional $2,700 for IV sedation and a crown despite me clearly stating from the beginning that I was not comfortable with IV sedation. I told them I would find another dentist, at which point they informed me that there would be no refund for the incomplete work and that they would still bill my insurance in full. They even admitted they would adjust the coding to ensure they received payment. This entire experience was extremely upsetting. It felt like my child's needs were exploited for profit, and I was manipulated into paying far more than I should have. Thankfully, I found a new dentist who was not only able to complete the root canal without any sedation, but my out-of-pocket cost was only $191. I would not recommend Cedar Dental to anyone, especially parents of children with special needs or anxiety. Transparency and patient care should come before profit, and sadly, that was not my experience here
