Ask the owners what is an additional charge up front. Also, we had a large group to accommodate so getting everyone there by the time of our reservation was impossible. The owners started the time anyways. It would be one thing if there were other reservations, but we reserved these boats for an off season time. Have some decency. Some "southern hospitality" these people have... Avoid if possible.

Lake of the Arbuckles, The Point Swimming area was a great place to kayak. We could put the kayaks on the shore and swim or go out into the coves surrounding The Point. Repair work has included basic oil and impeller changes, motor overhaul including injector repair and replacement along w trailer brake repair. I contacted numerous people on my brake issue. The brake would stay engaged resulting in the wheel getting very hot. No one was interested including Ranger dealers except Arbuckle took it and promptly found and repaired the issue. The mechanic has always contacted me, explained the proposed treatment and treated me fairly in the cost. I appreciate them taking the time to speak to me directly. That time they destroyed the jack handle on our boat trailer with their tractor they move boats around with. Didn't tell us, just left it that way for us to find when we picked up the boat, then argued that they didn't do it. Eventually they "fixed" it but that was a rigged job that didn't last long and we had to replace the whole piece a short time later. This latest situation was at the end of the season, we had them winterize our boat. When they're done, they park a crapload of boats in the "east lot". Total chaos and people milling around everywhere to find their boats, no rhyme or reason to the way they're stored. We got ours home to find out our stereo had been stolen, wires cut and an empty hole left in our dash. I called to report it so they could watch what goes on out there more carefully, knew from past experience they sure wouldn't take responsibility but might at least spare someone else the same trouble by reporting it...they didn't even have the decency to call me back. Wow, that's service! Won't be back, even if it means finding somewhere less convenient to get service from the folks that service our boat multiple times each season.

The whole process from getting the tickets to getting off the boat was very smooth and easy. We paid $15 for a 45 min. Boat ride. Worth every penny! This is a full service marina with ramps and docks as well as boat storage. There is a concession stand inside with the basics as well as bail and fishing stuff. There is a very nice playscape area along with picnic tables and grills for use. Just fisherman today and only a few as it was pretty windy and cool.

Overall the river is clean but there were some spots where trash was deposited from previous washouts. I would try a run farther up river for a better experience next time. The staff was friendly and helpful but the rental equipment is definitely well worn and some in our group had problems with adjusting their seat backs and the seat cushions were quite hard after 1 hour on a 3 hour trip.
