How do you eat a salad without a fork? A napkin would be nice. The speed in the drive-thru was good, but the service was lacking.

It's right on the way to my yoga studio, so it's perfect for a quick in-and-out lunch, but honestly, it's also the kind of place where you end up lingering longer than planned. My usual order is the ABLT on rye with Boar's Head applewood smoked bacon, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. Simple, fresh, and consistently delicious every single time. I almost always pair it with the Spinach Bacon salad loaded with spinach, cranberries, goat cheese, tomatoes, toasted pecans, and brown sugar peppered bacon. The portions are huge and definitely shareable. What makes Rhino special is that it's more than just a deli. It's part neighborhood market, part coffee shop, part beer and wine stop, and part community hangout. They've got local products, grab-and-go snacks, fresh sandwiches, beer on tap, wine, outdoor patio seating, and sometimes even live music. It reminds me of the small independent spots I used to love in the Bay Area around Burlingame, San Mateo, and Palo Alto. Relaxed, local, welcoming, and full of personality. The staff is always friendly, and the atmosphere feels genuinely Charlotte. Not overly polished. Not trying too hard. Just good food, good people, and a place that locals clearly love. And if you are visiting North Carolina, you absolutely have to try Cheerwine at least once. It's basically a Carolina rite of passage. Cherry soda lovers will probably be obsessed. Me personally? Not exactly my flavor profile, but people here drink it like water, so clearly they are onto something. Rhino Market is one of those places that makes a city feel like home. Life is too short to not eat well, Charlotte. Get out there.

You order at one window, grab an extra items, pay, then they'll call your name/number. Super easy. I ordered the Rhino Club described on the menu as: Boar's Head Branded Deluxe Ham, Lower Sodium Turkey, Applewood Smoked Bacon, provolone, bibb lettuce, tomato, dijon vin on choice of bread. The ordering and payment process was easy. I was solo so I took a seat at the bar area to eat. Sandwich looked good when I unwrapped it, large slices of toasted bread with fresh lettuce and tomato. The strangest thing was, on the left side of the sandwich were several slices of deli turkey rolled up. On the right side of the sandwich were several slices of deli ham rolled up. I hadn't seen a sandwich made like that before. It felt like half of a turkey sandwich and half of a ham sandwich as opposed to a ham and turkey sandwich. Was it bad? Definitely not. I waffled between a 3 and a 4 star for this one but felt generous because, overall, I liked the vibe of the place.

WHOEVER WAS MANAGING this crew at this time on this day, Friday, May 29 at 1 PM is doing an amazing job. Everybody was happy, smiling, friendly, courteous, and did a great job taking orders and making the food. I had a great turkey with some white bread. It tasted so good and I included potato chips and a chocolate cookie. But the best thing ever was the strawberry shake that the cashier woman made. I believe her name was ANGEL HEFFNEY !! the care she took him making this milkshake and doing it while as I watched her making it was right on point. And it was the best strawberry milkshake I have ever had. So I wanna give her a shout out. Plus, she was so nice and friendly with everyone as she managed the cashier role at this potbelly. But the whole line and your management were so great. Next time I'm coming through CLT airport. I am definitely coming back here again. Thank you for making a tough day of travel even easier.

Crispy bread filled with cubed marinated beef. Great flavors. Only issue is the beef kinda fall out if the sandwich. I like that the bread was not too thick. Yucca fries : 5 stars. Well done!! Tender and soft inside, crispy outside. Tastes great with the accompanying dip. Passionfruit juice: tart and refreshing. I enjoyed it well. 4.5 stars. Inca cola: has the special flavor like cola champagne (Central American cola) I would like to come back again to try their other sandwich.

As one of the omnivores, I've been trying to incorporate more meat-free meals into my diet. The menu here is broad and everyone in our party of four ordered different things. I had the fried cauliflower and Mac and cheese. It came with a dipping sauce for the cauliflower. Chef's kiss for the cauliflower and the sauce. The Mac had some kind of magical seasoning on it that almost had me begging for a few extra dashes but I kept my composure. While I didn't taste my lunch mates' food, each of us finished everything. The chef was warm and welcoming, made recommendations, and encouraged the skeptics to be adventurous. She checked in with us when we were finished. This is a casual dining restaurant. You order at the counter and food is served in takeout containers. IF I'd had anything left to take home, I definitely would have.

Lots of parking but I did have to do a U turn to get back to the restaurant. This was an old chain restaurant building so the drive through area isn't used. The building is dated and in need of repair but that isn't their fault as I am sure they are renting it. The food. Decent menu with steamed, grilled and fried options. I went with the small low country boil which was plenty. It was good. Could have soaked a bit if it was in fact boiled to pick up more of the flavor. I got a side bowl of gumbo. Interesting as it didn't come over rice. It was ok but let remember I worked in Louisiana for a decade plus so I can be a Cajun food snob. Service was awesome. Very friendly and the checked on me a couple of times. A huge majority of the customers get it to go. They have picnic tables inside to eat at and that is what I chose.
