WHOEVER WAS MANAGING this crew at this time on this day, Friday, May 29 at 1 PM is doing an amazing job. Everybody was happy, smiling, friendly, courteous, and did a great job taking orders and making the food. I had a great turkey with some white bread. It tasted so good and I included potato chips and a chocolate cookie. But the best thing ever was the strawberry shake that the cashier woman made. I believe her name was ANGEL HEFFNEY !! the care she took him making this milkshake and doing it while as I watched her making it was right on point. Plenty to choose from, so a good choice if you're in a larger group. Our whole group got sandwiches, and everyone was satisfied with their choices. A Wreck is a great choice if you're a fan of meat - it was PACKED with ham, turkey, roast beef, salami with a delicious ranch. Large enough to share if you're not that hungry but still big enough to make a satisfying meal for one. Food court has some tables to sit at if you don't want to take it back to the gate. This was a pleasant surprise to find located inside of the airport food court while trying to kill some time during a long layover. Potbelly is one of those chains we don't really have in the South, but my wife introduced it to me while traveling and I became a fan of it. The staff, while friendly, did seem to make everyone rush their orders and did not want to answer any questions. They were also out of a few ingredients, which was disappointing. They did get the food out pretty quickly though, which is the most important thing I guess at an airport so you make sure you don't miss the connecting flight while trying to grab some food. read more

I am probably rating this a lot lower than it really is, but I had heard a lot of hype from my friends about Potbelly over the years. I was very disappointed in the quality of the sandwich I got. I ordered the sweet heat BBQ chicken club, and the only thing I liked was the sweet heat BBQ sauce. The chicken was rubbery, the lettuce was a little brown, the tomatoes weren't ripe, and the bacon was overcooked. Additionally, the staff there was more interested in talking to one another than taking my order, so of course, they messed up and put a lot of mayo on the sandwich when I don't like mayo. I won't go back here again, but I hope to try a good Potbelly sandwich at a different location at some point. read more

All the dining choices in the Charlotte airport have long lines so not holding that against them. The people behind the counter just seemed apathetic when I finally got up there. The glass is broken on the counter, there's a roach on the chips rack and someone just had a faucet running full blast into a pitcher the whole time I was up there. This Potbelly's is located in near the D/E gate split in the plaza shops. If you've been to a Potbelly's before this one is no different. The line can move a bit slowly at times though. I got a Big's Mediterranean sandwich no chicken and all the toppings except for mayonnaise or oil. I must say it was very tasty like they usually are. I found the employees kind and very accommodating. From back of the line to sandwich in hand took about 10 minutes. It's almost hidden away in a good court that if u weren't looking u would walk right past it every time. The area was fairly full of people eating but my order process was super fast and extremely easy. I Had added bacon so that made it a little pricy $15 but it was still stellar nonetheless. I don't know why but I thought they used to put a pickle spear in with it but I didn't have one. I ordered the powerhouse anyhow and it had chicken in it (so they falsely told me this since they are premade). The service is VERY slow, sluggish and no friendliness whatsoever. It was filled with fruit - real apple and grapes along with dried cranberries and candied walnuts. The chicken was so tender I could barely get it on my fork. We paid and then the girl said to us, 'Oh, combo is with bottle of soda but you have a Powerade so that didn't count.' We've already paid and then you tell us that!? Not to mention the menu said 'BOTTLE DRINKS' and that Powerade was definitely a bottle drink. Our flight was boarding and we just don't have that kind of time to deal with the situation.
