I remember we'd usually get the fried chicken and a few sides, and after a few visits, I was off exploring other restaurants. Recently, my sister and I made a stop there on our way to visit our parents. This time, instead of fried chicken, we were craving hamburgers, hotdogs, and fries. I'd never had a burger from Rush's, but my sister vouched for them, and she's usually spot-on with food recommendations. We ordered three hamburgers, fries, and a hotdog. I didn't want a hotdog for myself initially, but she encouraged me to try hers. Let me tell you--the photo I took doesn't do the burger any justice! It was huge, fresh, and delicious. I got mine loaded with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, onions, and mayo. The fries were hot and crispy, just the way I like them. My sister even let me try a piece of her hotdog, and I instantly regretted not getting one myself--it was that good! The onions on it were amazing, and I'm usually not a big fan of onions! Once he got back, he was so ready to dive into it until he saw the cucumbers. The cucumbers were really soft, they looked as if they were starting to go bad. So, instead of having to drive back up there, I told hubby to let's just toss the cucumbers and replace them with new ones, a very easy fix. Other than the cucumbers, the salad was pretty good. Nothing to flip and do jumping jacks over, but they tasted good. After fixing the issue, I was content with the salad. No big complaints over here! It was a quick and easy meal until the chef (me) stepped into the kitchen at home:) Yes, my cooking is amazing, and I am telling the world, haha!

In terms of this particular location, the fries and nuggets weren't undercooked, which you can't say about every Cook Out in the area. Additionally, I love their Reese's Cup milkshake, and consider it one of my favorite desserts out of any fast food restaurant I've been to! As such, would recommend!
