Well, my husband wanted to try out the shrimp at Zaxby's. I wasn't too excited due to my last meal encounters being a fail, but hey, I was willing to try again. We ordered take out. Purchased the 8 Count Southern Fried Shrimp with Crinkled Fries. The shrimp tasted pretty well but the fries were so full of seasonings that we literally had to wipe them off to eat! As for me, I tossed it! Too much seasonings. Again, I was up for the challenge, but I wasn't pleased. Maybe it's just this location. Either way, I was hoping for a better turn out, so maybe this is my cue to try another location on the next go-round:)  Besides that the location was clean, and the customer service was okay. read more

This is one of the better Zaxby's. They were busy, but the employees maintained their composure, politeness, and good service. The food came out hot. The noise was average. Most of the noise in the restaurant came from the background music. The tables and floors were clean. This location even has the coke machine with 100 flavors. Good food, good service, we will be back. read more

I loved Zaxby's TLC sandwich and was devastated when it was no longer on the menu. After a little while, they decided to introduce the Zaxby's Signature Sandwich with either the regular Zax sauce or the new spicy Zax sauce. I was hesitant to try this new sandwich because I am still very much obsessed with their prior TLC sandwich. In the same hand, I was curious about their new spicy Zax sauce. It's about time Zaxby's offered a new dipping sauce. It's quite refreshing (haha!) Well the day came and I couldn't put off my curiosity any longer. I ordered the Spicy Zax Sauce Signature sandwich meal which came with fries and a drink. On the sandwich comes with like 3 pickles along with the sauce. The bread is toasted and split top down the middle. The sandwich came in an aluminum lined sandwich bag, and the fries came in a box, much like the kids meal box. The drink was their normal medium size. The food was hot and fresh which is always pleasant and definitely a win. The fries were hot, seasoned well, and cooked just right. The chicken for the signature sandwich is crispy breaded and fried. I guess similar and to be compared with the Popeyes chicken sandwich. It was a pretty big size, fried well, and seasoned well. I was pleasantly surprised because some times with a thick chicken breast the middle of the breast can be a challenge. The pickles were thick and refreshing to bite into and complimented the sandwich very well. They were like the sweet bread and butter pickles. I actually liked their pickle choice because some times I think thin pickles are a waste on a sandwich. The spicy Zax sauce was actually pretty tasty. Not too spicy, but a little kick to let you know it's not your traditional Zax sauce. They put the sauce on the top and bottom bun. The bread can really make or break a sandwich, but this bun was actually very delicious and it didn't get soggy. Also, it was large enough to handle the good sized crispy fried chicken breast. Plus I still had bread towards the end of my sandwich. The drive thru line moved pretty quickly. Customer service was pretty decent. Some people had their mask up and some did not. The sweet tea wasn't too sweet, but wasn't too bland. Once again, the food was hot. This was a great Zaxby's trip. Now I will say the signature sandwich is not a replacement for the TLC in my book and it comes in second to the TLC, however, it was still good and tasty, and I will order it again in the future. read more

Okay, so my son has had this fast food chain on his bucket list for quite some time. Of course, going south meant we had to stop by. We actually stopped by twice. This location and another. One on our drive down. The other on our drive back home. While I don't eat meat, let me tell you, when it's hard to find food to sustain you on a 10-hour drive that you're taking as a solo driver, you will eat what you have to. So yes, I had chicken twice on our trip. But very little chicken. Since I stopped eating meat, most fast food places smell weird to me. I didn't get that with the smell of this chicken. Also, since I stopped eating meat, it's easier for me to taste something weird like a chemical taste. Not with this chicken. Seriously, I was impressed. I only had 2 chicken tenders each time. Enough to get me through the drive. And they were pretty good, considering I don't really like the taste of chicken anymore. My sons in the other hand loved them! The fries are also tasty, too. If you eat chicken or if your body needs protein and this is one of your options, I say go for it. After all, it'll only be one time -- or maybe two ;-) read more

Zaxby's virgin here. What the heck did I just eat? The Buffalo sauce was delicious, the breading in the chicken was crispy, the sweet tea was delicious. Why would anybody go to Chik Fil A? This was some gourmet chicken! Seriously, it was delicious, I wish we had one in my state. read more

Ordered $52+ of food. Got home to discover NO SAUCES. Ya can't enjoy Zaxby's family meals with no Zaxby's sauces... So I called and spoke to one of the workers there.. Her solution was for us to drive to the restaurant at 9:45 PM and pick up the sauce. I asked for the manager. His solution was he'll give us "more sauces next time". Really? So we can't even enjoy our dinner tonight but it's expected that we're going to spend more money there anytime soon? Right.... This location always has issues. That's why we haven't gone here in over a year but we decided to try it again and literally paid for our mistake. read more

Whenever I pass by one I get myself an order of the homemade potato chips cooked limp/soft and an order of the chicken tenders with a side of the tongue-torch sauce. I have tried getting the tenders tossed in the sauce, but the flavor changes drastically when that occurs and the breading on the strips begins to fall off. I find that I prefer dipping my fresh, hot strips in the tongue-torch and savoring the crispy texture along with the wonderful flavor of the not-so-hot sauce and then dipping a chip in some blue cheese dressing. So I placed an order online. My receipt stated the order would be ready in 10 mins. Sat in the drive thru line and when I got up to the window they said that they do not have names on the orders. I had to go inside and thank goodness I printed off my receipt. However, they couldn't find the order. They handed me a handful of receipts to find my order, I found it and they said, oh yeah, we haven't made it yet. This is now 30 mins past the time they told me my order would be ready. Stopped for dinner and typically all the restaurants are the Sam and have the same quality, but for some reason this time the chicken tenders where too greasy and not fresh like they had been pre-cooked long before I ordered. For a quick fix of chicken, it's not bad. My personal favorite being the buffalo zalad. However, if you are in the mood for hot wings and this is the place in the vicinity... GO ANYWHERE ELSE. My family usually get the 20 piece tenders, we never eat it all and it makes for lunches the next day. Came here for lunch place was kind of busy, but my wait time was minimum. I ordered the chicken basket which was so good OMG I ate the whole 5 piece plate!! The sweet tea was so sweet I think I drank about half a bag of sugar in my one cup. I wonder if you get fired here if you say salad instead of Zalad? I love their fried mushrooms, but they really shouldn't call them spicy, they have absolutely no spice! Chicken and Zaxby's sauce is really good as well. Their Zalads are good but don't get them thinking you're being healthy because they're loaded with calories almost as much as their other menu items. So it was a quiet Saturday at around 7:34 when we arrived. The workers did not have any southern hospitality. The lady behind the counter should learn how to project her voice, by the end i didnt know what the things had in them. We went a week after the flood and they had no drinks besides water. They also had like 2 options for food. I think that they should close if they can't really stay open. I'm not sure if this is the exact location I've been to but this place is, dare I say it, better than KFC OR POPEYES! Well, okay, maybe not better~~ but I really wish we had one in DC or NY. I love love love love love love their chicken sandwiches and they have HOT WINGS!!! With a decent amount of celery (...not like 2 dying pieces like Atomic Wings charges almost 3 dollars for.) I feel dumb writing a review for a fast food place but here goes. I have eaten at this particular location twice. The first time, my sandwich buns were way over buttered and burned. As a result, the sandwich had a bitter taste. The second time, there were pieces of black plastic stuck in the breading on the chicken. They were extremely hard and I bit down very forcefully not knowing it was there and almost cracked my tooth. Since it was inside the breading, I couldn't see more of them and ended up biting plastic a few more times. I'm not sure how it ended up in there. Perhaps somebody stirred the breading and seasoning mix with a plastic fork and it broke off. In any event, I think I will be staying away from this location if I am craving some Zaxbys. read more

OMG, their toast and cole slaw were good too... the toast was buttery, garlicy, fluffy, and a little crunch at the same time (I'm getting hungry). Chicken fingers were awesome and my sweet tea was comforting. I love how the ice in my sweet tea has the crumbled-crushed, texture... delicious southern twist.. I went through the drive thru and got the chicken finger plate. The meal was missing its Texas toast and Zax sauce. The fries were ice cold and there were only two pieces of chicken. The only good thing was the coke slaw. Not recommend go down the road to Bojangles. read more

Went to Zaxby's on Garner's Ferry Road tonight, October 13th Around 8:15pm. Got to the speaker to order and the girl on the speaker was very friendly so my husband and I thought we were going to have a pleasant experience at a fast food restaurant for once...we were wrong. Got to the window where a completely different girl didn't even greet us when we pulled up and just wanted to take our money. My husband paid and she very rudely told us to pull forward to wait for our food becfor my husband could ask for extra sauce. Than he said he wanted some and she said "well you're gonna have to pay extra. They're 25 cents a piece." We already knew this and had the change ready for her. She took the change, slammed the window and we pulled forward. Our food came and surprise, surprise...no extra sauce. My husband had to go into the restaurant after going through the drive-thru and told them they forgot 2 extra sauces. They gave him one and he said no, that we paid for two. This girl was so extremely rude and just took our money without trying to give us what we paid for. I understand if you hate your job, but if you hate it that much, just quit. At least the girl in the speaker was nice and friendly, if only she could run the whole drive-thru by herself. read more
