The service is slow. The workers are rude. The whole place is leaking water when it rained. Bathrooms are overflowed with water dropping from ceiling. The floors are slippery enough that you can slip and hurt yourself. The place inside smells ranching. The advertised so well. Wanted to try something different. Changed my mind.

This is what I was given as a "Deluxe" burger for $5.99 plus 36¢ tax

After having to back out of the drive-thru because nobody stopped me and a car had broken down at the service window, I had to go inside to order. The manager took my order and wasn't really listening because I said I wanted a Deluxe burger with just the burger, bun and raw onions. He asked if I wanted cheese. I reiterated that I wanted a Deluxe burger with just the meat patty, the bun and raw onions. Then I ordered a medium roast beef and crinkle fries. He put in curly fries but somehow delivered crinkle fries. I get home and give my wife her burger which was burned black and inedible. Also there were no onions. I tried calling the store but the phone rang until it just stopped after about thirty times. I wrote my complaint to Arby's corporate. We will see what happens. My wife ate the fries for dinner.

The food was delicious and the service was quick. The Ambiance was quiet for a Friday Night.

My first mistake was going there but my choices of drive thru nearby are limited. My second mistake was not checking my receipt and my food. I ordered the classic roast beef with cheddar. I got I guess the sandwich on the shown receipt which was brisket with an unmelted piece of "I don't know what" kind of cheese. The French fries were crispy brown and inedible. I asked for crinkle fries and I got a mixture of both curley and crinkle. The guy behind me probably got my delicious roast beef and cheddar. We shall never know. I'm not happy about my lunch today at all.

No turkey on the turkey sandwich.

They don't listen to your order so check your bag before you leave. They don't answer the phone either.

I hate when going thru the drive thru when no one is behind you and they ask you to park. Then give you the wrong order.

I believe Raising Cane's in Columbia was the 3rd location in Maryland to open. First was Towson in early 2023 I think, then Gambrills in Sept. 2023 (went on their 2nd day; see my 5-star of them), and then Columbia in early 2024 I think. The first time I visited the Columbia location was in March 2024, where I redeemed a green leprechaun lemonade, but I had already eaten or had other dinner plans. My first visit to get food was in July 2024. This was my girlfriend's first time at Raising Cane's. She loved it as did I per the other times I had in the past including the first time trying them in AZ in mid 2010's. I visited Cane's Columbia a couple of other times in the past two years. Always great chicken strips, fries, & Texas toast. I'm not a big coleslaw person, but I like theirs ok. I normally get half sweet/half unsweet tea, which is delicious freshly brewed. It's often busy, but staff is cordial, and pretty organized and efficient.

The slaw is more more sour/tangy slaw rather than the more sweet / mayo slaws (I like both styles, but it is good to have a different option). The fries are seasoned really well and crispy. It's between a Chinese take-out and a used-sporting-good store, just a little east of the middle of the St. Johns Plaza strip mall. This location has seating for 40 or so in a brightly decorated space. There's plenty of parking right out front. It's my first time here, I was a little afraid of the "hangry" spice, but learned that the range of heat is by-request, so i got two "Jr." sandwiches: one no-heat to get a taste of just the chicken, and one medium. The chicken comes piping hot, two half-inch thick strips nearly twice as long as the 4-inch junior bun, which is a lot of food for their smaller size sandwich! It's tender and moist, with just a light chew. The coating is thin and lightly seasoned, drizzled with a mildly-sweet red-sauce. Good flavors. Theres a layer of fresh not-too-wet slaw and a couple of hearty pickle circles, both of which add some sweetness. The bread is lightly flavorful, just dense enough to hold everything together. The medium is the same generous tender moist sandwich. The red-sauce also seems the same. The coating on the chicken is where the spice is! It builds up quickly to a nice mouth-filling heat, and it adds zingy flavor without overwhelming with heat. The veggie layers of the sandwich help manage the heat. The chicken is very good and fresh-tasting, definitely tastier than the chicken at nearby fast-food burger joints. The range of heat is by-request, so us low- spice and no-spice folks can come here with I-wanna-burn folks, and everyone will hit their target. I think that anyone who likes even a little spice will want medium-heat or above. The junior-serving was huge and filling! This place is a win in flavor, quality, and quantity. It took about 5min to prepare, so order ahead on their app.

This was my first time visiting any Shake Shack location, here in Columbia, Maryland. I was…read moreactually surprised during my visit, because I was really thinking that this was going to be one of those awesome 5-star experiences, but it just wasn't. As I approached this business, I found the outside to be clean and the landscaping was pleasant. After entering, I was immediately faced with a bunch of kiosks for customers to place their orders. I just don't like kiosks. To me, this just shows me a business that is trying to reduce their customer service by not hiring cashiers and making the customer perform the cashier's job with no cost benefit to the customer. After placing my order, I was then questioned with how much I would like to tip. I found this to be even more annoying. What am I tipping for? The quality of the food?...I haven't eaten it yet. The quality of the service?...I haven't received any yet. Tipping BEFORE any experience is ridiculous and presumptuous. To me, tipping is a way for the customer to show that they are satisfied (or highly satisfied) with the experience they have had AFTER they have had it. I ended up ordering the double SmokeShack Burger, which comes with two beef patties, cheese, bacon, cherry peppers, and ShackSauce. The burger was really delicious, but I was surprised by how small it was for being a double. I also ordered the Bacon Cheese Fries, which are crinkle cut French fries topped with cheese sauce and bacon. This was pretty good too, but not as good as I thought it would be. For my drink I was going to get a soda-pop, but then I decided to try their Shack-Made Lemonade. It tasted weird, and I regretted getting it. I was served at my table by a server who delivered my food without saying a word. While eating my meal, I noticed that the inside of the restaurant looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. In fact, I did not see anyone cleaning anything inside during my entire visit. Even more disturbing was the lack of friendliness of the employees. I kid you not, there were about a dozen people working here during my visit and I did not see a single employee crack a smile...not for anyone. While leaving, I decided to order their Chocolate Blackout Pudding Shake. After getting back to my hotel with this for dessert, I only had a few spoonfuls. Again, this tasted weird. I ended up throwing out 90% of it because it just wasn't very tasty. In total, I spent over $33, which is a ridiculously high cost for one fast food meal. In comparison with my favorite fast food restaurant, In-N-Out (primarily in the western U.S.), I can get a similar meal at In-N-Out for about HALF the cost. I don't know about you, but if I pay substantially more I expect a substantially better experience. I hope that the other Shake Shack businesses don't operate like this one; This was NOT a worthwhile experience, especially considering the cost.
