I went through the drive-through to see if they had a cherry turnover and the guy that worked there said no and I said they need to get their act together- the result, he literally threatened me... I was saying it half heartedly and joking and he said "get out of here you're not getting served anything" and then he literally threatened to come "kick my ass" -this employee sounded very angry and unstable- he absolutely needs to be fired for threatening a potential customer- Did I feel a little bad for saying that they should get their act together- sure. He threatened to call the police five times and I said please do because- I didn't do anything wrong or illegal certainly. Obviously, regardless of the situation as long as the customer is not doing anything dangerous you can't threaten them. Not only is it highly rude and ridiculous it's also illegal!! By the way, the guy that threatened me claimed to be the manager as well. For the record- and it was about 5:55 PM on Sunday 8/16/20. Went to buy some sandwiches and as I opened up my sandwich to add Arby's sauce I saw a small piece of plastic. I started noticing that there was more small strips of plastic. First off I've worked for Arbys for a year as a cook cashier, drive thru and fryer and I know who much your night can be when someone calls out. But we never took it out on our customers. I just left the arbys on mission rd in Escondido CA. I pulled in and had to explain that I wanted the number 1 /double meat with curly fries with a Dr Pepper light ice. The person they had on drive through didn't speak the best of English so it was hard for her. I wasn't mad I just was making sure we got the right thing. Especially because this was for my wife that just gave birth at the hospital up the road. A gentleman came on and was able to help finish the order for her. When I got the window he just seemed pissed off and it showed in the service. This is a one star because I've been in their shoes. I'm guessing he was mad that the owner hired people that can't certain job duties but still making the same money as someone who can. I will not be coming back. Our fries were cold, soda tasted gross- like mostly syrup, they didn't get our order correct (gave us the wrong sandwich and chraged us for incorrect items), over cooked my Kids chicken strips so that they were rock hard and unable to be eaten, and part of the order they did get correct was absolutely disgusting. Terrible, just a terrible drive through experience right now at the Arby's restaurant on Valley Parkway in Escondido. Order was messed up. Large root beer float was overly filled and exploded as soon as it was handed into the car, with no napkins, resulting in root beer all over car and us. Went to Arby's drive thru to get my dinner. Of course drive thru is convenient, I thought. The lady at window asked what kind of sauce? I said horsey Sauce and a bronco sauce please. How many? Of course the one I opened had none on it and I notice only one has sticker special on it. So I figured only the one has it. So I call and the phone rings at least 20 times. Finally someone answers. I asked to speak to manager of course it's the person who wasn't very nice about the bronco sauce. I explained that only has one special sticker and I opened one to eat and no sauce on it. She said well I will talk to the guy. Ok!?! At least offer something for the inconvenience. Nope... Just basically deal with it attitude. So I called back to tell her she did not have good management skills and I'm not happy. Still not nice almost like she hates her job. So I asked her name and told her I would be bring food back and I want my money back. She said fine. So I did. I went in to ask for Alma the manager the girl walks away and came back to say she's not here right now. I told her I just talk to her 10 minutes ago. Finally Alma came up I told her I wanted money back. So she opens up each sandwich up and come to find out 4 out of the 5 had red ranch on it and according to the manager that's a great job. It's unacceptable how this managers attitude was opening up each sandwich to say see this one had it and to top it I was writing her first name on my receipt to call and make a complaint to a corporate or the franchisee and she said to me here I will write my whole name down. Alma Soria or Alma Sonia it's hard to read what she wrote for last name. My point is try to put effort into customer service especially if you're the manager and you're supposed to be a good example. read more

I actually believe Arby's is the best fast food option available today. However, I have to say that I just had the worst customer experience I've had in this Arby's ever. I and three others waited in line for about 5 minutes for someone to take an order. One employee (a teenager) walked by us twice without saying a word to us or offering to get someone to help. The person making sandwiches could see us but also did nothing. I finally had to yell to the back to see if anyone was available to take an order. Two adults (sic) came out front to take an order but by then I was uncomfortable that making a scene would get what I ordered messed with. So I said I was no longer interested and left. When I got here there were three cars in front of me by the time I got to the drive-thru window it had been 25 minutes. When I get to the window I don't get an apology all I get was my total for the food. Any other place that I have been to that I have waited for anytime in line I get a huge apology I don't expect anything free free food free drinks a gift card. But I do expect a little respect especially if you're in customer service! After I got home the sandwich was decent a bit greasy but the part that bothered me the most was that I found three pieces of bone in my sandwich. The "host" at the window couldn't say Hello - just asked for the money while her head was turned talking to someone else. When my order was ready she thrust the bag at me through the window while her head was turned talking to someone else still with no thank you or any acknowledgment at all despite my saying thank you. This location's clock is 5minutes to 10minutes behind. This morning we went to get food. I had looked up the time online to see when the place opened. It said 8am. so we headed over there around 845. when we got up to the speaker for drive through, nothing, no greeting nada. So we waited for about 3 minutes still nothing. by this time is 8;55. so my husband got out of the car to go look at the front door and it said opens at 9am. ok so we waited. finally an employee came out to wipe down the windows on the menu outside. he saw up waiting so he went to the drive thru window and asked them when they were going to open. by this time our car clock said 9:05. he came back and told us that their clock says 8;55. I was fed up waiting since my two toddlers in the car were getting really fussy and I had to get my husband somewhere by a certain time. so we just took off.
