When Arbys left Oceanside I was devastated. I've been a fan since the the old Bronco Berry sauce flavor in the 90's. So having to come out to San Marcos and Escondido has been what I've had to do to get my fix. It's newer, nicer, cleaner than most locations and the service is actually friendly. Probably the fastest online ordering I've seen anywhere. Literally 3 minutes from when I placed the order, walked in the door and my soda was ready, just waiting on ripping hot fries which came 90 seconds later and they warned me about how hot they were. Of course I didn't wait because I had my arbys sauce waiting to cool it off enough to eat. Let it sit there for 3-4 seconds rather than a quick dunk before eating and it's cool enough. Like all Arbys they have great lighting from tons of windows and a less cramped drive thru than most. They seem to be heavier handed with the meats than other locations and they are the only national ff chain that has cooper sharp, which any Philly Cheesesteak fan knows well. I usually order my 5lb bricks online, but if I just need some of that tang I'll come here. Prices are inflating, as are all fast food, but like everyone else they have rewards. I just don't like how their rewards expire quickly. Often times being available less than a week. I feel less bloated and gross with their fries than from other curly fries. Their cheesesteak is the best of any fast food chain and even better than some restaurants. I'd say it's the 5th best cheesesteak in San DIego. I love how soft their buns are and their rolls have chew and are seeded. Their soda fountains always hit and are never out or low. This location is just outside of most of the transient populations that congregate nearby so walking here isn't bad at all. read more

I'm glad that Arby's has come back around again. In Escondido, the restaurant has been moved to multiple locations through the years. When I was younger, I worked nearby so I was there often. But then the Arby's closed, and then reappeared on the opposite side of town. And now it's in a different location a few miles from where it had been. I like the new choices that they've added to the menu. I never was a fan of the roast beef because it was so processed. I prefer things like tri-tip. My go-to in the old days was the chicken strips. These days I buy the reuben, fish sandwich, and the limited items. I also love the potato cakes and mozzarella sticks as sides. The app has some great deals, and I usually place my order to go in the app so it's ready when I arrive. I'm always getting it to go on my way to work or errands. Getting in and out of the shopping center can be a little challenging, but it's near Center City Parkway and the 15 and 78 freeways. That means it's an easy stop on your way to somewhere else. read more

Was on my way home when I decided I wanted the fish sandwich from Arby's....went to the drive through and found out they didn't have the fish sandwich anymore. So I ordered a roast beef sandwich and fries (Kris cut)...the guy working the drive was awesome. Great service (nice as can be). He told me to be careful because the fries were hot....everything was delicious. As long as I've been going to Arby's (any Arby's) they are always really good fast food - never a complete miss. I kept seeing advertisements for The Gobbler, a Thanksgiving style sandwich with turkey, stuffing, cranberries, etc..., but when I tried to order one in the drive-through, they don't have it. They said they thought it would sell well on the Monday before Thanksgiving but it didn't... so they stopped selling them. This happened on Wednesday, the day before Thanksgiving. I'm not a fan of fast food chains unless it's an energency of one type or another. I had 30 minutes to kill, an Arby's was in the subject retail center, and I was hungry. I thought I'd suffer through one of their chopped and formed roast beef sandwiches containing meat made in a factory. I was wrong. Got a beef brisket sandwich that was very delicious, and the beef was sliced from a primal cut and served on a tasty bun with onion strings and bbq sauce. I arrived a little before the lunch rush and was still (pleasantly) welcomed in within 30 seconds or so of walking in. The whole store was clean and tidy, lots of natural light with plenty of space. Friendly employees, good food (got a Gyro meal), and witnessed a great interaction between an employee and an elderly couple. They offer a military discount! Just gotta ask about it (generally). The only "con" is that there are no power outlets for customers, though that is somewhat understandable to discourage loitering. 5/5 from me, Arby's! read more

We stopped on the way home from Sea World to grab a bite to eat. It was on the way home and conveniently close to the freeway. The staff is always so nice and the turkey sandwich never disappoints. My son loves their beef and cheddar and cannot resist the curly fries (although my husband's prefers the crinkle cut fries). Food is always made fresh and quickly. Shakes are good, and if you are looking for a little nibble their sliders are great for a quick small bite. Gyros are actually awesome as well. read more

We've ordered from here many times since our last review, but sadly it seems after covid, this place has slid down. My wife's roast beef sandwich was cold, but the fries with it so hot, we had to let them cool before eating them. I know people are all about their sandwiches but I come here for their stuffed jalapeños and the jalapeño bacon chicken wrap (minus the ranch because I'm allergic to the MSG). Haven't been in a while because I'm trying to cut out cheese and bacon from my diet but oh man they are goood. Made to order with fresh, quality ingredients. Started making them at home myself. Add Homestyle jalapeño ranch in the refrigerated section of the produce section at Vons. I'll post photos next time I go. I'm always so eager to chow down that I forget. I stop at this location probably 3 times a week, usually between 6 and 8pm. I use the drive-through exclusively. The young gentleman on the speaker is well spoken, articulate, and you can hear the smile in his voice. The total at the window is always accurate. I am always greated with a smile and a kind and genuine attitude. When he asked how many sauces I need for my two sandwiches, and I tell him 2 and 2, I get two of each instead of a bag full. The meat is carefully centered in the bun, not all hanging out one side, and it is neatly wrapped. This is one of VERY FEW drive-through locations of any brand that I always look forward to. This Arby's is OK, those going here know what they're getting with Arby's sandwiches and Arby's is undeniably delicious. Arby's is also arguably one of the most unhealthy menus you can order from (processed meat is often loaded with nitrites which are carcinogenic). However, the old adage "everything in moderation" applies here. This store has some annoying folks working the intercom if you're driving through, but it's not terrible. Arby's has been a long time and it's cool to think the latest generations can experience this food as many of us did in the '70s and '80s. read more

Keith is a great employee to have around. Very polite, thanked my mom for her service in the military. Told us that we could bring in our family pet because other people bring in their family pets. I order the number two sandwich half pounder and still have some left over, it's unreal!!!! This establishment is very clean but in the Autumn and Winter months it is advisable to bring a jacket/ sweater etc. Cannot recommend a better Arby's place. Apparently it's been a while since I've been at an Arby's...no potato cakes!?!?!?!? The woman (she was very nice) who took my order told me they removed potato cakes from the menu in 2021. I hope the powers-that-be consider bring them back. One of my go to meals at Arby's, the medium roast beef sandwich and two potato cakes...yummy...yummy...yummy. But, on this location, because of the great-early-retirement situation going on, they are short staffed. As mentioned, the woman who helped me was friendly and efficient. Explained the sad potato cake situation and helped me place my order. On the positive side, they now have mac and cheese so...that helps a bit. The dining area as clean but was cold. The bathroom was clean but this is one of those places that has air dryers rather than paper towels. So, if you like to wipe you hands after washing like me, bring some napkins in with you when you go. Our order was made perfectly, fresh and hot. The crinkle fries were good but still, they are not as good as the missing potato cakes. Easy free parking, serve yourself fountain drinks, food made to order. Have been visiting this Arby's for about a month now through the drive thru and Lavania and Jenny has been there most of the time. She seems so hard working and very sweet. Have only tried a couple sandwiches, but the French dip has been great. Good amount of meat ratio to bread. The building itself looks quite new and the windows are big enough to see inside. talking about lack of empathy and lack of of structure this has to be one of the worst arby's locations you can go to , every time I've gone there's homeless people inside using the restroom leaving them dirty , with this in mind , there constantly many times were you'll go in and the manger is CRAZY yells are her employees and always thinks she's above everyone there foos is over fired salty and even taste expired in my opinion, save your money and go get yourself sum quality food i've already report this restaurant to the san diego's county health department food and safety health division . More of a 3.75 stars. I stopped in try their sliders. I ordered a roast beef, turkey, and pizza slider. The pizza slider was unique and different. The roast beef was good. It reminded me of a miniature version of their regular sandwich. The turkey was good but a tad bit dry. It does come with a topping that makes it tastes better but it did not cover everything. Overall, good for a quick snack. Three sliders was more than enough for late lunch with out fries but included a soda. Service was standard for a fast food joint. This is a newly constructed Arby's that's easy to get in and out of. The staff are friendly and hard working and the food is fresh. I like the layout of this location compare to others that I've been to. The color scheme is soothing to the eyes and welcoming. There's large tables and seating for parties of more than four as well as booths to accommodate smaller groups. The dining area is huge and perfectly cold especially when it's 100 degrees outside. The place is spotless and all the sauces and additional items are clearly labeled. Props to the management and the crew here. They're doing a great job. I haven't been to an Arby's in nearly 40 years. I had one of their beef sandwiches back then, and if it wasn't for the BBQ sauce there would have been no taste. Been seeing the Philly Cheese Steak sandwiches and the commercials were enticing. I like lots of vegetables, bell peppers, onions, etc.. and it looked really good. The sandwich I got, had zero flavor. The few small bits of bell peppers I saw, had no texture or flavor. The beef may or may not have been reconstituted beef, but the good thing is, unlike every other piece of Beef I put my teeth into now, I always need to get a toothpick and floss to get the meat out. Not so with what-ever meat they put into this. It did taste bad, it just had no flavor, even from the cheese. Restaurant was clean, staff quick and efficient. Probably not going back. read more

Subpurb place for lunch! I grew up where Arby's could be found pretty easily within a few minutes; however, I feel like they've sort of diminished over the past ten years, or so. My coworker and friend/ discovered this place on our lunch break and have now been back 2, or 3 times. The service at this location is outstanding and the turnaround on food even during a weekday lunch rush was more than acceptable. Both of our orders came out correct, hot and tasted very good.
